Scene from "Welcome To The Hellmouth": GILES chases after BUFFY as she tries to leave the library. He's somewhat agitated.
BUFFY

GILES
Because you are the Slayer. Into every generation one Slayer is born.
49 EXT. CAVE - UNKNOWN TIME
Scene from "Get It Done": BUFFY is chained to the Earth. The three shadow men stand around her, waiting for her to attack or at least say something. BUFFY rips the chains from the Earth and looks at the shadow men.
BUFFY
You're just men. Just the men who did this to her. Whoever that girl was before she was the First Slayer.
SHADOW MAN (subtitled)
You don't understand.
BUFFY
No! You don't understand! You violated that girl, made her kill for you because you're week. You're pathetic, and you obviously have nothing to show me.
26 INT. BUFFY'S LIVING ROOM - AFTERNOON
Scene from " Chosen ": BUFFY is speaking to the Potential Slayers. FAITH, SPIKE and WILLOW are also in the room.
BUFFY
Tomorrow, Willow will use the essence of this Scythe to change our destiny. From now on, every girl in the world who might be a Slayer will be a Slayer. Every girl who could have the power will have the power. Can stand up, will stand up.
TEASER
46 EXT. SOMALI - NIGHT
Everything is quiet. Nothing is happening. Nothing is moving. Animals and insects make low noises. The wind blows, rustling the leaves of any trees that are alive. It's almost cold. It's hot during the day in Africa, but today the temperature dropped.
Somalia, 50,000 BC
A small village comes into view. It's very small and very primitive. Technology or even basic grammar or language hasn't been invented yet. There are only small branch huts, pieced together by twigs and hair made ropes. A small fire in the center of the village crackles in the darkness, the only source of light. A scream is heard as a PRIMITIVE WOMAN runs into view. Close behind her is a primitive man. A VAMPIRE. She stumbles on a rock and falls into the sand. The VAMPIRE picks her up and forces her up against a tree. He's about to sink his teeth into her neck when suddenly a loud growl is heard and the VAMPIRE is tackled to the ground. The VAMPIRE and his attacker rise to their feet. The woman is young. She has black knotty hair and is covered in white rags. Her face is painted white except around her eyes and mouth. She jumps on the VAMPIRE and wrestles him to the ground like a wild animal. She grabs a tree branch and impales the VAMPIRE in the heart. He cries out and explodes into dust. The PRIMITIVE WOMAN looks shocked. She knows the heroin that saved her.
PRIMITIVE WOMAN (subtitled)
Shagarra? Shagarra Durral?
The woman who slayed the vampire keeps walking, ignoring the person calling her name; her old name. She is not Shagarra anymore, for that is not what 'They' call her anymore. She is better known as The Slayer.
40 EXT. HADENFIELD TRACK MEET - LATE AFTERNOON
Hundreds of people are sitting in the bleachers. Family and friends have come to see their loved ones compete against another school in the week’s track meet. MIKE is running a mile spring with members of his team. They are racing against members of the other team. The crowd cheers wildly as MIKE finishes in first place and they win that part of the competition.
Hadenfield, California, 2004
DANDRE is talking to his girlfriend in the bleachers. He whispers something in her ear and they both get up. JEWEL knew she shouldn't be doing it, that it was a bad idea, but she had given into peer pressure. They walked down the bleachers and then made a left turn. They were now behind the bleachers, surrounded by trees, where no one could see or hear them. He pulls her over to a tree where they start to make out. A couple minutes into it, he starts putting his hands on places they shouldn't be. She pulls away from him.
JEWEL
Stop...
DANDRE
What?!
JEWEL
I said stop!
JEWEL pushes DANDRE away, which only angers him greatly. He slaps her and pushes her up against the tree and starts pulling on her clothing. She attempts to scream for help, but he covers her mouth. He pulls her shirt off and starts for his belt when he is hit by a powerful force. He flies back a few feet and his body collides with the hard ground. He looks up and is staring back at two girls. VI and STEPHANIE.
VI
I thought I heard the girl tell you know.
DANDRE
Yeah? What's your point? I'm a man. I can do whatever I want.
STEPHANIE
Some man you are. You need to force some girl to be with you.
DANDRE
I don't need to be listening to some stupid bitches. (He smiled.) Get on your knees and maybe I'll let you get away with this without a bruising.
VI
I have a better idea. Don't you, Steph?
STEPHANIE
Yeah. Why don't you get on your knees instead?
A split second later, VI was behind DANDRE. She slammed her heel into the back of his leg and he fell to his knees on the ground. She pinned his arms at his sides and turned him so he was facing JEWEL.
VI
Now, say you're sorry like a good boy.
DANDRE
What? I'm not apologizing to some female.
STEPHANIE
Wrong answer.
VI took his hand in hers and slowly held hands with him. A second later she was bending his hand back, almost to the point where his wrist would break.
VI
Now let's try this again. Answer correctly this time. (VI shook him.) Tell this young woman that you're sorry.
DANDRE
Fine! (He sighed.) I'm sorry! Ok?! I'm sorry!
VI
Good boy. (She let him go.) Don't let us catch you doing something like this again. (She took out her hunting knife and held it next to his groin.) Or this will have to come off.
VI let DANDRE stand up and he ran off. VI and STEPHANIE turned back and looked at JEWEL, who was looking at them, stunned.
JEWEL
I don't know what to say. Thank you.
STEPHANIE
No problem. Dogs like him need to be put down.
VI
Yeah. We gotta go. I heard they were gunna give Mike a medal.
STEPHANIE
Can't miss that. We'll see you later, Jewel. Take care.
VI and STEPHANIE ran off to the field. They never gave names. They always knew peoples names, but they never gave out theirs. It was always dangerous to give out your name as a Slayer because if VAMPIRES found out your name, you'd be hunted. It was one of the rules passed down from WATCHER to WATCHER. Even with hundreds of Slayers, the rules were no different.

ACT ONE
32 EXT. SEA PORT - NIGHT
SOPHIE threw herself up against the wall and stayed as straight as possible. The brick wall was a sufficient cover from the GERMAN TROOPS. It was crazy. She should have listened to what her mother told her. It was dangerous for a Jewish citizen to be outside, out of hiding. However, SOPHIE had a job to do. Her heart started racing when she heard GERMAN TROOPS approaching, but the footsteps slowly faded into the quietness of the night. She stepped out of her hiding place, looking out at the sea.
Copenhagen, Denmark, 1940
She walked out of the alley and almost immediately stepped onto the wooden peer. The sea always seemed to calm her. It was unfair that the Nazi's were torturing and capturing the Jewish people. What did they ever do to them? SOPHIE walked to the end of the peer and looked out at the ocean, sighing.
SPIKE
Well, well, well what do we have hear?
SOPHIE
I'm sorry? (She turned around, expecting to see GERMAN TROOPS, but saw SPIKE instead.) Only person stupid enough to be out past curfew would have to be... Oh. Wait. You aren't a person anymore are you vampire?
SPIKE
You're calling me stupid? You're the stupid git out past bed time while the Nazi's are having their fun time.
SOPHIE
I have a job to do.
SPIKE
So do I.
SPIKE made a jump at SOPHIE, but a gun shot rang through the air. Both fighters stopped and looked towards the direction of the blast. Two GERMAN TROOPS stood at the end of the peer.
GERMAN SOLDIER (subtitled)
Freeze!
SOPHIE (subtitled)
Don't shoot!
SPIKE
You speak two languages?
SOPHIE
Shut up.
GERMAN SOLDIER (subtitled)
Put your hands in the air, child! (SOPHIE did so and the two SOLDIERS walked to them.) Where are your papers?
SOPHIE (subtitled)
I am a citizen of Denmark. I will not be forced to carry papers around with me because some pigs told me too.
SPIKE
I could take care of these guys if you want me too.
GERMAN SOLDIER (subtitled)
Who are you?!
SPIKE
Sorry, Mate, I don't speak a word of German.
SPIKE punched the NAZI in the face, causing him to drop his gun. SPIKE kicked him in the stomach, knocking him to the ground. The second NAZI, holding a knife in his hand, moved towards SPIKE. SOPHIE grabbed the NAZI'S hand and snapped it back, breaking it. She pulled him back and kicked him in the stomach, knocking him into the railing on the peer. The railing broke and he fell into the ocean. SPIKE grabbed his attacker and tossed him into the ocean as well. SPIKE reached down and equipped himself with the NAZI'S gun and SOPHIE acquired the knife, which was dropped when she broke the NAZI'S hand.
SOPHIE
We don't really need weapons to do this. Do we?
SPIKE
I don't think so. They just make me feel manly.
In a split second, both fighters had dropped their weapons and were lashing out at each other. Their hands collided so they were both holding each others fists. SOPHIE threw his hands to the side and hit him with a fierce uppercut. SPIKE stumbled back, holding his jaw. He laughed. SOPHIE kicked at him but he blocked the attack and spun around, backhanding her. SOPHIE fell back on the peer and grabbed a piece of wood from the broken railing. SPIKE looked at the stake and then back at her. It would be too easy. SOPHIE ran at him, stake raised in the air. As the piece of wood neared his heart, he caught her hand and flipped her around. Holding her in a bear hug, he dug his fangs down into her neck and drained her of her life.
26 INT. BUFFY'S BEDROOM - MORNING
BUFFY'S shot open as she awoke from her dream. It was one of her Slayer dreams. She had them now and again. She was always seeing past Slayers. She slowly sat up in bed, pulling the covers over herself. She ran her hands through her hair and sighed loudly. BUFFY stretched, then rose from her bed. She looked down at herself, seeing if she was presentable. She looked fine for just waking up. BUFFY crossed her arms over her chest and walked downstairs.
26 INT. BUFFY'S KITCHEN - MORNING
BUFFY trudged into the kitchen. XANDER, WILLOW and DAWN were already going about their morning activities. XANDER was sitting at the kitchen table, having breakfast with WILLOW. DAWN was drinking coffee, but making a sick face whenever she took a sip.
BUFFY
Morning.
WILLOW/XANDER/DAWN
Morning.
BUFFY
Everyone sleep well?
WILLOW
I was sleeping just fine, until the phone rang at 2 a.m.
BUFFY
The phone rang at 2 in the morning?
DAWN
Yeah, I heard it too.
BUFFY
Who was it?
They all grow quiet and look at XANDER, who's sitting quietly. He looks up at them and smiles nervously. BUFFY raises an eye brow.
BUFFY
Xander, who was calling you at 2 in the morning?
XANDER
It was just Vanny.
DAWN (smiling)
What did she want?
XANDER
Just wanting to see how I was doing. I think she was a little wasted though.
WILLOW
What did you talk about? Give me details.
XANDER
I told her about my construction job that I start today. She said she'd come say hello if she got a chance.
BUFFY
Don't you think it's a little bit early to have personal visitors? It's only your first day there.
XANDER
Well, it seems that I'm on demand. My last employers in Sunnydale must have given me great reviews.
DAWN
At least now we'll have some money coming into the house.
BUFFY
Hey! I'm searching for a job! It's just a little hard to find one. Not a lot of people want to hire a 23-year-old who didn't finish college and supports her sister.
WILLOW
Don't forget about me. I'm trying to get a job as a substitute teacher.
DAWN (jokingly)
Don't work at the High School. It wouldn't want to take more orders from you than I already do.
BUFFY
I thought I was the one who gave you orders.
XANDER
I have to get to work. Dawnie, I'll drive you to school.
DAWN
Ok thanks.
DAWN left the room, probably to go get her back pack and purse. BUFFY and WILLOW looked at XANDER. He was acting weird today. XANDER grabbed his car keys and walked out to his car, waiting for DAWN.
ACT TWO
30 INT. HADENFIELD HIGH SCHOOL, BOYS LOCKER ROOM - PERIOD 4/5
MIKE walked into the locker room, wiping a small amount of perspiration from his forehead. He walked down 3 steps and into the maze of lockers. He found his locker and opened it. He pulled his shirt over his head, and put on his school shirt. He removed his gym pants and then pulled on a pair of break away pants. They were comfortable. He wanted to be as comfortable as possible. After school, and after work, he was going to take his driving test. If he passed, he'd have his driving license. He closed his locker and relocked it. Suddenly he heard a loud slap and someone smack into a locker. MIKE put his shoes on and went to the source of the sounds. He entered a new row of lockers and saw older 3 students picking on another younger student.
TOMMY
Come on! Fight back, fag!
ALLEN
He wouldn't want to hurt you, Tommy. He'd want to do something else.
BILLY
What could we do to really hurt him?
MIKE walked past the three boys and extended his hand to the boy on the floor. PARKER took his hand and stood up from the floor. TOMMY, BILLY, and ALLEN laughed at them.
TOMMY
Oh look, another fag. It looks like it must be the gay parade today.
MIKE
I'm not gay. What if I was? What would it matter?
BILLY
It's wrong. It's sick, dude.
MIKE
It's someone's life choice. It's a choice people should respect.
ALLEN
Why are you sticking up for the queer?
MIKE
I'm sticking up for him because he's still a person with feelings. If you want to bully someone, why don't you bully me?
TOMMY
My pleasure. (TOMMY moved to punch MIKE, but ALLEN stopped him.) What?
ALLEN
He's friends with Stephanie and that other girl. If we hurt him, they might come after us.
BILLY
So, Mike needs girls to protect him?
MIKE
No, I can take care of myself.
TOMMY
Want to prove that to me now?
MIKE
This one is my pleasure. (MIKE punched him in the face and pushed him up against one of the lockers.) I don't need anyone to fight for me. I can kick your ass on my own.
MR. JONES (upon walking into locker room)
Hey! Hey! Hey! Break it up!
MIKE lets TOMMY go and BILLY, ALLEN and TOMMY walk out of the locker room. PARKER sits down on a bench and MIKE sits next to him.
MR. JONES
What just happened here?
MIKE
I hate crime.
MR. JONES
Is everyone ok?
MIKE
We're fine.
MR. JONES nods to them and walks into his office. MIKE looks at PARKER, who's sitting on the bench teary eyed.
MIKE
Are you ok?
PARKER
Yeah. It's just...I don't know how much more abuse I can take.
MIKE
You shouldn't have to put up with people like them.
PARKER
I know, but it's not like I can escape them. There are people like them everywhere. Wherever I go there will always be racist people who can't tolerate someone different.
MIKE
That's a shame, though. You're not different. You're the same as everyone. Everyone has something or someone they like. It shouldn't matter what gender you prefer.
PARKER
If only the world was full of more people like you.
MIKE
The world is full of people just like me. You just have to know where to look for them. Anytime you need someone to talk to, my friends and I will always be here.
PARKER
All your friends?
MIKE
What do you mean all my friends?
PARKER
You're Mr. Popular. You're the most popular person at school. You're telling me that everyone would accept me the way I am?
MIKE
No, probably not. I know that Dawn and Stephanie would defiantly not judge you. And the other people...well, if they would judge you because of who you like than I shouldn't be friends with them anyway.
PARKER
Yeah.
MIKE
We better get going. We're gunna be late for class.
MIKE and PARKER stood from the bench and walked out of the locker room. MR. JONES watched the two boys leave, smiling.
40 EXT. CONSTRUCTION SITE - AFTERNOON
Machines and hammering is all that can be heard. An office building is being constructed and all the workers are busy with their jobs for the day. All the men are tired from working all day. XANDER walks out from his trailer wearing a construction hat. He crosses his arms over his chest and watches the work, smiling. He was impressed with the skills of the workers. He was watching soundlessly when he felt a tap on his back. He turned around and saw VANNY.
XANDER
Vanny.
VANNY
Hey. Whatcha doing?
XANDER
Working. Well, watching the work.
VANNY
What's being built?
XANDER
I think it's going to be an office building of some sort.
VANNY
Are you gunna watch the whole time or do you actually help?
XANDER
I'm gunna help sooner or later. I was just inside the trailer looking over some floor plans and everything.
VANNY
Cool.
RANDOM WORKER (to Vanny)
Hey sexy! Why don't you come over here and do a little something for me?
XANDER
Try to ignore them. Some of these guys are assholes.
VANNY
I noticed. So, does construction pay good money?
XANDER
Yeah. I don't mind what I'm doing as long as I'm working. I just took this job because it paid the most and I need a lot of money to pay for the new house.
VANNY
How's that going? The moving in and all.
A RANDOM WORKER whistles at VANNY. XANDER sighs and VANNY smiles uncomfortably.
XANDER
We're all set. Dawn started school already. Willow is looking for a job. Buffy is...well, she has another job to worry about. (He pauses.) How's Mike? You talked to him?
VANNY
Yeah. He's fine.
RANDOM WORKER
Who hired the entertainment?!
VANNY
You know what? I think I'm gunna go, Xander. I'll talk to you later.
XANDER
I'm sorry if they made you feel uncomfortable.
VANNY
I've gotten used to it. Bye, Xander.
VANNY walked off the construction sight. XANDER turned back to the workers. He grabbed a hammer and went to work.
26 INT. HADENFIELD HIGH SCHOOL - PERIOD 9 GLOBAL STUDIES
DAWN arrived to class on time. She sat in her usual seat and waited for STEPHANIE to arrive. ALLEN and BILLY were looking at her occasionally and it made DAWN feel a little uncomfortable. STEPHANIE entered the classroom and sat next to DAWN.
STEPHANIE
Hey, Dawn.
DAWN
Hey. What's up?
STEPHANIE
Nothing much. (She sees ALLEN and BILLY looking at DAWN.) Did you know those guys are looking at you? I think they like you.
DAWN
Shut up. (DAWN hits STEPHANIE playfully, but is surprised when she pulls back.) You ok, Steph?
STEPHANIE
Yeah, I'm fine.
DAWN was about to speak when the teacher walked in. Class was about to start. She pulled her books out of her back pack and looked at STEPHANIE for a second. Something was not right.
ACT THREE
26 INT. BUFFY'S LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
XANDER walked into the house and walked to his room. He put his things in his room and changed into more comfortable clothes. He walked downstairs and grabbed something to eat in the kitchen. He took a beer from the fridge and walked into the living room where WILLOW was sitting. She looked at him.
WILLOW
Xander, sit down.
XANDER walked to his friend and sat next to her on the couch. He looked at her and smiled nervously.
XANDER
Is everything ok?
WILLOW
Yes. Well, no, not really. I need to talk to you about something. I've noticed you've been acting different lately.
XANDER
Yeah.
WILLOW
Can you tell me why? I'm your best friend. You can tell me anything you know.
XANDER
I'm having feelings for Vanny.
WILLOW
What?
XANDER
I think I'm feeling attracted to Vanny.
WILLOW
And that's what's bothering you? Xander, that's nothing to feel sad about. That's good news. She's probably the only girl you've liked that isn't evil.
XANDER
There is a problem with it.
WILLOW
And that would be?
XANDER
If I get involved then I'm cheating on Anya. If I get involved with someone else then Anya is really gone.
XANDER looked at the floor sadly. WILLOW moved closer to him and put her arm around him.
WILLOW
Xander, you know Anya would want you to be happy. You are not cheating on her and she will never be gone. She'll always be in your heart.
XANDER
Sometimes I miss her so much.
WILLOW
We all know that I'm in a relationship with Kennedy, and I've missed her so much since she's been with Giles in England. Sometimes, even though I'm with Kennedy, I miss Tara. I cry about it too. It's perfectly normal to miss someone so close to you.
XANDER
I wear our wedding ring sometimes. Well, our would-be wedding ring.
WILLOW
That's fine too. If that's how you are going to remember her then there is nothing wrong with that.
XANDER
The thing is, I can't date Vanny and be married to Anya. You've always been the girl with the answers, Will. You've always had your books and your brain and you've always been able to deal with stuff. How do I deal with this?
WILLOW
This is going to sound corny, but look inside your heart for the answers.
XANDER
Somehow I knew you were going to say that, Mother Love. (He laughed.) Thanks for the talk. (He hugged her.)
WILLOW
That's what I'm here for...that and bringing people back, Buffy especially.
XANDER
Speaking of Buffy, where is she?
WILLOW
She went patrolling tonight.
29 EXT. HADENFIELD GRAVE YARD - NIGHT
BUFFY walked through the grave yard. It was cold and cloudy. For some reason, despite its creepy appearance, the graveyard always calmed her. It was so quiet and you could always think. She heard a noise and turned. Upon turning, BUFFY was punched. She slammed into the side of a tombstone and collapsed on the ground. She quickly recovered and stood up. She blocked an attack from a VAMPIRE and kicked him hard in the face. He doubled back and fell on the ground, loosing his balance. BUFFY jumped and landed on the ground, plunging the stake into his heart. The VAMPIRE screamed in pain and exploded into dust.
BUFFY
Damn vampires...
SHEILA
Buffy? Buffy Summers?
BUFFY turned around and her jaw dropped. She saw one of her old friends from High School. Sheila was a troubled teen who was turned into a vampire by DRUSILLA. SHEILA attacked BUFFY at Parent Teacher night, but SHEILA ran before BUFFY could slay her.
BUFFY
Sheila?
SHEILA
Buffy? Wow. It's weird to see you here. Didn't you live in Sunnydale?
BUFFY
Didn't you hear? It was swallowed into the ground.
SHEILA
I'm guessing that was your doing?
BUFFY
Of course. How have you been?
SHEILA
Good. So, you live here in Hadenfield now?
BUFFY
Yeah.
SHEILA
People are full of surprises.
BUFFY
More surprises than you think. (She grips her stake.)
SHEILA
Whoa, calm down. I'm not here to fight you. I know that you can pack a pretty powerful punch and I wouldn't want to risk that.
BUFFY
You do know that I'm a vampire Slayer and you're a vampire? I'm not just going to let you run away...again.
SHEILA
You think you can take me?
BUFFY
I know I can take you.
SHEILA
I've learned a lot these past years. I'm not the weak girl I used to be when we had our little fist fight.
BUFFY
You were a coward. You ran. You knew I'd kill you when we fought and you know I can kill you now.
SHEILA
You got a big mouth.
BUFFY
Look who's talking.
SHEILA
I think it's about time I shut you up.
SHEILA changed into vampire face and charged at BUFFY. BUFFY punched her in the face before she got to close. SHEILA kicked at her, but BUFFY blocked it and spun around, punching SHEILA again. SHEILA kicked again and hit BUFFY in the stomach. BUFFY bent down and sweep kicked her. SHEILA fell on the ground and BUFFY moved so her legs were on both sides of her. SHEILA grabbed BUFFY and threw her to the side. Both fighters got up and looked at each other. SHEILA jumped at BUFFY, who fell down on her back and brought her foot up into SHEILA'S stomach. She moved her leg and SHEILA fell to the ground. BUFFY stood up and looked at SHEILA. SHEILA stood up and started back up. BUFFY moved at her, but SHEILA backed up and back flipped onto the top of a mausoleum.
BUFFY
Running away again?
SHEILA
Not really. I'm hungry and you've bored me. This is not over, trust me.
SHEILA jumped off the mausoleum and disappeared from BUFFY'S view. That was enough patrolling for one night. BUFFY put her stake in her pocket and started walking home.
26 INT. MIKE'S BEDROOM - NIGHT
MIKE proudly walked into his room. He smiled and put his wallet down on his dresser. He picked up his wallet again and opened it. His smile grew bigger when he looked at his drivers’ license. He finally got it and he could finally drive. He sighed happily and sat on his bed. He was taking his shoes off when his cell phone rang. He picked it up and spoke into it.
MIKE
Hello?
STEPHANIE (on the other line)
Mike...help me...
MIKE
Hold on, Steph. I'll be right there.
26 INT. STEPHANIE'S ROOM - NIGHT
STEPHANIE hung up the phone and put it back on the charger. She wiped the tears from her eyes and looked at the clock. He did it again. Her Uncle Dan was drunk and had beaten her again. Even though she was a Slayer, his brutal beating still hurt. She wished she could move, but she was stuck with him. Both her parents had died in a car accident, and he was the only family member she could stay with. She was to afraid to fight back, even with her new power.
STEPHANIE
Mike, please hurry...
26 INT. STEPHANIE'S KITCHEN - NIGHT
DAN walked into the kitchen, almost tripping over everything in his path. He braced himself on the sink and looked at it. He stupidly stared at the dishes in the sink. STEPHANIE was supposed to do the dishes, but she didn't she had to pay. DAN drunkenly picked up a butchers knife and started up towards her room.
30. EXT - OUTSIDE STEPHANIE'S HOUSE - NIGHT
MIKE parked his car in the street and was almost hit by a car as he ran out. ANA slammed on the breaks, but then kept going after knowing MIKE was ok. MIKE closed his car door and ran up STEPHANIE'S driveway.
26 INT. STEPHANIE'S BEDROOM - NIGHT
STEPHANIE sat on her floor, crying to herself and hugging her legs to her body. Her heart skipped a beat when her door burst open and her drunken Uncle Dan entered the room. She noticed the butchers’ knife in his hand and started to cry more.
UNCLE DAN
You forgot to do the dishes, you worthless piece of crap.
STEPHANIE
I...I forgot.
UNCLE
Well, I'm tired of this. I'm tired of all this bull **** I have to put up with. I should have never taken you into my house when your parents died. If anything, I should have prayed that you died with them.
MIKE walked into STEPHANIE'S room and saw her crying on the floor. He walked past UNCLE DAN and kneeled next to STEPHANIE on the floor.
MIKE
What's going on here?
UNCLE DAN
I'm about to kill your best friend, boy. Now get out of my house!
MIKE
Your house? This house is more my house than it is yours. If you aren't at work then you're at the bar getting drunk. You're never home and if you are you're drunk. If put lots of hard work into this house and lots of work into your nieces life. I've done so much more for her than you ever will. So I think you should be the one to leave.
UNCLE DAN
You know what? For that, I'm going to kill you too, you little *******.
BUFFY V.O.
Tomorrow, Willow will use the essence of this Scythe to change our destiny. From now on, every girl in the world who might be a Slayer will be a Slayer.
STEPHANIE looked up from the floor and glared at UNCLE DAN as he closed in on her best friend. She had to do something. She had to save him and herself. This would end tonight one way or another.
BUFFY V.O.
Every girl who could have the power will have the power.
STEPHANIE stood up and stood in between MIKE and UNCLE DAN. She kicked her foot up and knocked the knife out of his hand.
BUFFY V.O.
Can stand up, will stand up.
UNCLE DAN swung his fist at STEPHANIE. Her Slayer senses finally kicked in and she blocked his attack.
BUFFY V.O.
Slayers. Every one of us. Make your choice. Are you ready to be strong?
UNCLE Dan swung at STEPHANIE again. She ducked. She stood tall and strong. A Slayer. A woman of power. A woman no longer afraid of her worst nightmare. She kicked her uncle in the stomach and punched him in the gut. She round house kicked him in the face and punched him in the throat. He gagged and fell down on the floor. He picked up the knife and stood up again. He sliced at her with the knife, but she jumped back, avoiding the blade. He sliced at her again and caught his arm. Her senses kicked in once again and she did a clever fighting move and used his strength against him. She threw his sweaty slippery hands to the side as she held onto the knife. He let go and before anyone could think, STEPHANIE buried the knife deep in his stomach. He fell to the floor, blood gushing everywhere. MIKE cautiously walked to him and checked for a pulse. There was none.
MIKE
He's dead...
STEPHANIE started crying hysterically again. MIKE walked forward and took his best friend in his arms. He held her close to him as she cried, trying to give her the best comfort he could. Her legs gave out, and he followed her to the ground. They both kneeled on the ground. MIKE just held STEPHANIE as she cried, much like XANDER did with WILLOW at the end of "Grave".

49 EXT. CAVE - UNKNOWN TIME
Scene from "Get It Done": BUFFY is chained to the Earth. The three shadow men stand around her, waiting for her to attack or at least say something. BUFFY rips the chains from the Earth and looks at the shadow men.
BUFFY
You're just men. Just the men who did this to her. Whoever that girl was before she was the First Slayer.
SHADOW MAN (subtitled)
You don't understand.
BUFFY
No! You don't understand! You violated that girl, made her kill for you because you're week. You're pathetic, and you obviously have nothing to show me.
26 INT. BUFFY'S LIVING ROOM - AFTERNOON
Scene from " Chosen ": BUFFY is speaking to the Potential Slayers. FAITH, SPIKE and WILLOW are also in the room.
BUFFY

46 EXT. SOMALI - NIGHT
Everything is quiet. Nothing is happening. Nothing is moving. Animals and insects make low noises. The wind blows, rustling the leaves of any trees that are alive. It's almost cold. It's hot during the day in Africa, but today the temperature dropped.
Somalia, 50,000 BC
A small village comes into view. It's very small and very primitive. Technology or even basic grammar or language hasn't been invented yet. There are only small branch huts, pieced together by twigs and hair made ropes. A small fire in the center of the village crackles in the darkness, the only source of light. A scream is heard as a PRIMITIVE WOMAN runs into view. Close behind her is a primitive man. A VAMPIRE. She stumbles on a rock and falls into the sand. The VAMPIRE picks her up and forces her up against a tree. He's about to sink his teeth into her neck when suddenly a loud growl is heard and the VAMPIRE is tackled to the ground. The VAMPIRE and his attacker rise to their feet. The woman is young. She has black knotty hair and is covered in white rags. Her face is painted white except around her eyes and mouth. She jumps on the VAMPIRE and wrestles him to the ground like a wild animal. She grabs a tree branch and impales the VAMPIRE in the heart. He cries out and explodes into dust. The PRIMITIVE WOMAN looks shocked. She knows the heroin that saved her.

The woman who slayed the vampire keeps walking, ignoring the person calling her name; her old name. She is not Shagarra anymore, for that is not what 'They' call her anymore. She is better known as The Slayer.
40 EXT. HADENFIELD TRACK MEET - LATE AFTERNOON
Hundreds of people are sitting in the bleachers. Family and friends have come to see their loved ones compete against another school in the week’s track meet. MIKE is running a mile spring with members of his team. They are racing against members of the other team. The crowd cheers wildly as MIKE finishes in first place and they win that part of the competition.
Hadenfield, California, 2004
DANDRE is talking to his girlfriend in the bleachers. He whispers something in her ear and they both get up. JEWEL knew she shouldn't be doing it, that it was a bad idea, but she had given into peer pressure. They walked down the bleachers and then made a left turn. They were now behind the bleachers, surrounded by trees, where no one could see or hear them. He pulls her over to a tree where they start to make out. A couple minutes into it, he starts putting his hands on places they shouldn't be. She pulls away from him.
JEWEL
Stop...
DANDRE
What?!
JEWEL
I said stop!
JEWEL pushes DANDRE away, which only angers him greatly. He slaps her and pushes her up against the tree and starts pulling on her clothing. She attempts to scream for help, but he covers her mouth. He pulls her shirt off and starts for his belt when he is hit by a powerful force. He flies back a few feet and his body collides with the hard ground. He looks up and is staring back at two girls. VI and STEPHANIE.
VI
I thought I heard the girl tell you know.
DANDRE
Yeah? What's your point? I'm a man. I can do whatever I want.
STEPHANIE
Some man you are. You need to force some girl to be with you.
DANDRE
I don't need to be listening to some stupid bitches. (He smiled.) Get on your knees and maybe I'll let you get away with this without a bruising.
VI
I have a better idea. Don't you, Steph?
STEPHANIE
Yeah. Why don't you get on your knees instead?
A split second later, VI was behind DANDRE. She slammed her heel into the back of his leg and he fell to his knees on the ground. She pinned his arms at his sides and turned him so he was facing JEWEL.
VI
Now, say you're sorry like a good boy.
DANDRE
What? I'm not apologizing to some female.
STEPHANIE
Wrong answer.
VI took his hand in hers and slowly held hands with him. A second later she was bending his hand back, almost to the point where his wrist would break.
VI
Now let's try this again. Answer correctly this time. (VI shook him.) Tell this young woman that you're sorry.
DANDRE
Fine! (He sighed.) I'm sorry! Ok?! I'm sorry!
VI
Good boy. (She let him go.) Don't let us catch you doing something like this again. (She took out her hunting knife and held it next to his groin.) Or this will have to come off.
VI let DANDRE stand up and he ran off. VI and STEPHANIE turned back and looked at JEWEL, who was looking at them, stunned.
JEWEL
I don't know what to say. Thank you.
STEPHANIE
No problem. Dogs like him need to be put down.
VI
Yeah. We gotta go. I heard they were gunna give Mike a medal.
STEPHANIE
Can't miss that. We'll see you later, Jewel. Take care.
VI and STEPHANIE ran off to the field. They never gave names. They always knew peoples names, but they never gave out theirs. It was always dangerous to give out your name as a Slayer because if VAMPIRES found out your name, you'd be hunted. It was one of the rules passed down from WATCHER to WATCHER. Even with hundreds of Slayers, the rules were no different.

ACT ONE
32 EXT. SEA PORT - NIGHT
SOPHIE threw herself up against the wall and stayed as straight as possible. The brick wall was a sufficient cover from the GERMAN TROOPS. It was crazy. She should have listened to what her mother told her. It was dangerous for a Jewish citizen to be outside, out of hiding. However, SOPHIE had a job to do. Her heart started racing when she heard GERMAN TROOPS approaching, but the footsteps slowly faded into the quietness of the night. She stepped out of her hiding place, looking out at the sea.
Copenhagen, Denmark, 1940
She walked out of the alley and almost immediately stepped onto the wooden peer. The sea always seemed to calm her. It was unfair that the Nazi's were torturing and capturing the Jewish people. What did they ever do to them? SOPHIE walked to the end of the peer and looked out at the ocean, sighing.
SPIKE
Well, well, well what do we have hear?
SOPHIE
I'm sorry? (She turned around, expecting to see GERMAN TROOPS, but saw SPIKE instead.) Only person stupid enough to be out past curfew would have to be... Oh. Wait. You aren't a person anymore are you vampire?
SPIKE
You're calling me stupid? You're the stupid git out past bed time while the Nazi's are having their fun time.
SOPHIE
I have a job to do.
SPIKE
So do I.
SPIKE made a jump at SOPHIE, but a gun shot rang through the air. Both fighters stopped and looked towards the direction of the blast. Two GERMAN TROOPS stood at the end of the peer.
GERMAN SOLDIER (subtitled)
Freeze!
SOPHIE (subtitled)
Don't shoot!
SPIKE
You speak two languages?
SOPHIE
Shut up.
GERMAN SOLDIER (subtitled)
Put your hands in the air, child! (SOPHIE did so and the two SOLDIERS walked to them.) Where are your papers?
SOPHIE (subtitled)
I am a citizen of Denmark. I will not be forced to carry papers around with me because some pigs told me too.
SPIKE
I could take care of these guys if you want me too.
GERMAN SOLDIER (subtitled)
Who are you?!
SPIKE
Sorry, Mate, I don't speak a word of German.
SPIKE punched the NAZI in the face, causing him to drop his gun. SPIKE kicked him in the stomach, knocking him to the ground. The second NAZI, holding a knife in his hand, moved towards SPIKE. SOPHIE grabbed the NAZI'S hand and snapped it back, breaking it. She pulled him back and kicked him in the stomach, knocking him into the railing on the peer. The railing broke and he fell into the ocean. SPIKE grabbed his attacker and tossed him into the ocean as well. SPIKE reached down and equipped himself with the NAZI'S gun and SOPHIE acquired the knife, which was dropped when she broke the NAZI'S hand.
SOPHIE
We don't really need weapons to do this. Do we?
SPIKE
I don't think so. They just make me feel manly.
In a split second, both fighters had dropped their weapons and were lashing out at each other. Their hands collided so they were both holding each others fists. SOPHIE threw his hands to the side and hit him with a fierce uppercut. SPIKE stumbled back, holding his jaw. He laughed. SOPHIE kicked at him but he blocked the attack and spun around, backhanding her. SOPHIE fell back on the peer and grabbed a piece of wood from the broken railing. SPIKE looked at the stake and then back at her. It would be too easy. SOPHIE ran at him, stake raised in the air. As the piece of wood neared his heart, he caught her hand and flipped her around. Holding her in a bear hug, he dug his fangs down into her neck and drained her of her life.
26 INT. BUFFY'S BEDROOM - MORNING
BUFFY'S shot open as she awoke from her dream. It was one of her Slayer dreams. She had them now and again. She was always seeing past Slayers. She slowly sat up in bed, pulling the covers over herself. She ran her hands through her hair and sighed loudly. BUFFY stretched, then rose from her bed. She looked down at herself, seeing if she was presentable. She looked fine for just waking up. BUFFY crossed her arms over her chest and walked downstairs.
26 INT. BUFFY'S KITCHEN - MORNING
BUFFY trudged into the kitchen. XANDER, WILLOW and DAWN were already going about their morning activities. XANDER was sitting at the kitchen table, having breakfast with WILLOW. DAWN was drinking coffee, but making a sick face whenever she took a sip.
BUFFY
Morning.
WILLOW/XANDER/DAWN
Morning.
BUFFY
Everyone sleep well?
WILLOW
I was sleeping just fine, until the phone rang at 2 a.m.
BUFFY
The phone rang at 2 in the morning?
DAWN
Yeah, I heard it too.
BUFFY
Who was it?
They all grow quiet and look at XANDER, who's sitting quietly. He looks up at them and smiles nervously. BUFFY raises an eye brow.
BUFFY
Xander, who was calling you at 2 in the morning?
XANDER
It was just Vanny.
DAWN (smiling)
What did she want?
XANDER
Just wanting to see how I was doing. I think she was a little wasted though.
WILLOW
What did you talk about? Give me details.
XANDER
I told her about my construction job that I start today. She said she'd come say hello if she got a chance.
BUFFY
Don't you think it's a little bit early to have personal visitors? It's only your first day there.
XANDER
Well, it seems that I'm on demand. My last employers in Sunnydale must have given me great reviews.
DAWN
At least now we'll have some money coming into the house.
BUFFY
Hey! I'm searching for a job! It's just a little hard to find one. Not a lot of people want to hire a 23-year-old who didn't finish college and supports her sister.
WILLOW
Don't forget about me. I'm trying to get a job as a substitute teacher.
DAWN (jokingly)
Don't work at the High School. It wouldn't want to take more orders from you than I already do.
BUFFY
I thought I was the one who gave you orders.
XANDER
I have to get to work. Dawnie, I'll drive you to school.
DAWN
Ok thanks.
DAWN left the room, probably to go get her back pack and purse. BUFFY and WILLOW looked at XANDER. He was acting weird today. XANDER grabbed his car keys and walked out to his car, waiting for DAWN.
ACT TWO
30 INT. HADENFIELD HIGH SCHOOL, BOYS LOCKER ROOM - PERIOD 4/5
MIKE walked into the locker room, wiping a small amount of perspiration from his forehead. He walked down 3 steps and into the maze of lockers. He found his locker and opened it. He pulled his shirt over his head, and put on his school shirt. He removed his gym pants and then pulled on a pair of break away pants. They were comfortable. He wanted to be as comfortable as possible. After school, and after work, he was going to take his driving test. If he passed, he'd have his driving license. He closed his locker and relocked it. Suddenly he heard a loud slap and someone smack into a locker. MIKE put his shoes on and went to the source of the sounds. He entered a new row of lockers and saw older 3 students picking on another younger student.
TOMMY
Come on! Fight back, fag!
ALLEN
He wouldn't want to hurt you, Tommy. He'd want to do something else.
BILLY
What could we do to really hurt him?
MIKE walked past the three boys and extended his hand to the boy on the floor. PARKER took his hand and stood up from the floor. TOMMY, BILLY, and ALLEN laughed at them.
TOMMY
Oh look, another fag. It looks like it must be the gay parade today.
MIKE
I'm not gay. What if I was? What would it matter?
BILLY
It's wrong. It's sick, dude.
MIKE
It's someone's life choice. It's a choice people should respect.
ALLEN
Why are you sticking up for the queer?
MIKE
I'm sticking up for him because he's still a person with feelings. If you want to bully someone, why don't you bully me?
TOMMY
My pleasure. (TOMMY moved to punch MIKE, but ALLEN stopped him.) What?
ALLEN
He's friends with Stephanie and that other girl. If we hurt him, they might come after us.
BILLY
So, Mike needs girls to protect him?
MIKE
No, I can take care of myself.
TOMMY
Want to prove that to me now?
MIKE
This one is my pleasure. (MIKE punched him in the face and pushed him up against one of the lockers.) I don't need anyone to fight for me. I can kick your ass on my own.
MR. JONES (upon walking into locker room)
Hey! Hey! Hey! Break it up!
MIKE lets TOMMY go and BILLY, ALLEN and TOMMY walk out of the locker room. PARKER sits down on a bench and MIKE sits next to him.
MR. JONES
What just happened here?
MIKE
I hate crime.
MR. JONES
Is everyone ok?
MIKE
We're fine.
MR. JONES nods to them and walks into his office. MIKE looks at PARKER, who's sitting on the bench teary eyed.
MIKE
Are you ok?
PARKER
Yeah. It's just...I don't know how much more abuse I can take.
MIKE
You shouldn't have to put up with people like them.
PARKER
I know, but it's not like I can escape them. There are people like them everywhere. Wherever I go there will always be racist people who can't tolerate someone different.
MIKE
That's a shame, though. You're not different. You're the same as everyone. Everyone has something or someone they like. It shouldn't matter what gender you prefer.
PARKER
If only the world was full of more people like you.
MIKE
The world is full of people just like me. You just have to know where to look for them. Anytime you need someone to talk to, my friends and I will always be here.
PARKER
All your friends?
MIKE
What do you mean all my friends?
PARKER
You're Mr. Popular. You're the most popular person at school. You're telling me that everyone would accept me the way I am?
MIKE
No, probably not. I know that Dawn and Stephanie would defiantly not judge you. And the other people...well, if they would judge you because of who you like than I shouldn't be friends with them anyway.
PARKER
Yeah.
MIKE
We better get going. We're gunna be late for class.
MIKE and PARKER stood from the bench and walked out of the locker room. MR. JONES watched the two boys leave, smiling.
40 EXT. CONSTRUCTION SITE - AFTERNOON
Machines and hammering is all that can be heard. An office building is being constructed and all the workers are busy with their jobs for the day. All the men are tired from working all day. XANDER walks out from his trailer wearing a construction hat. He crosses his arms over his chest and watches the work, smiling. He was impressed with the skills of the workers. He was watching soundlessly when he felt a tap on his back. He turned around and saw VANNY.
XANDER
Vanny.
VANNY
Hey. Whatcha doing?
XANDER
Working. Well, watching the work.
VANNY
What's being built?
XANDER
I think it's going to be an office building of some sort.
VANNY
Are you gunna watch the whole time or do you actually help?
XANDER
I'm gunna help sooner or later. I was just inside the trailer looking over some floor plans and everything.
VANNY
Cool.
RANDOM WORKER (to Vanny)
Hey sexy! Why don't you come over here and do a little something for me?
XANDER
Try to ignore them. Some of these guys are assholes.
VANNY
I noticed. So, does construction pay good money?
XANDER
Yeah. I don't mind what I'm doing as long as I'm working. I just took this job because it paid the most and I need a lot of money to pay for the new house.
VANNY
How's that going? The moving in and all.
A RANDOM WORKER whistles at VANNY. XANDER sighs and VANNY smiles uncomfortably.
XANDER
We're all set. Dawn started school already. Willow is looking for a job. Buffy is...well, she has another job to worry about. (He pauses.) How's Mike? You talked to him?
VANNY
Yeah. He's fine.
RANDOM WORKER
Who hired the entertainment?!
VANNY
You know what? I think I'm gunna go, Xander. I'll talk to you later.
XANDER
I'm sorry if they made you feel uncomfortable.
VANNY
I've gotten used to it. Bye, Xander.
VANNY walked off the construction sight. XANDER turned back to the workers. He grabbed a hammer and went to work.
26 INT. HADENFIELD HIGH SCHOOL - PERIOD 9 GLOBAL STUDIES
DAWN arrived to class on time. She sat in her usual seat and waited for STEPHANIE to arrive. ALLEN and BILLY were looking at her occasionally and it made DAWN feel a little uncomfortable. STEPHANIE entered the classroom and sat next to DAWN.
STEPHANIE
Hey, Dawn.
DAWN
Hey. What's up?
STEPHANIE
Nothing much. (She sees ALLEN and BILLY looking at DAWN.) Did you know those guys are looking at you? I think they like you.
DAWN
Shut up. (DAWN hits STEPHANIE playfully, but is surprised when she pulls back.) You ok, Steph?
STEPHANIE
Yeah, I'm fine.
DAWN was about to speak when the teacher walked in. Class was about to start. She pulled her books out of her back pack and looked at STEPHANIE for a second. Something was not right.
ACT THREE
26 INT. BUFFY'S LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
XANDER walked into the house and walked to his room. He put his things in his room and changed into more comfortable clothes. He walked downstairs and grabbed something to eat in the kitchen. He took a beer from the fridge and walked into the living room where WILLOW was sitting. She looked at him.
WILLOW
Xander, sit down.
XANDER walked to his friend and sat next to her on the couch. He looked at her and smiled nervously.
XANDER
Is everything ok?
WILLOW
Yes. Well, no, not really. I need to talk to you about something. I've noticed you've been acting different lately.
XANDER
Yeah.
WILLOW
Can you tell me why? I'm your best friend. You can tell me anything you know.
XANDER
I'm having feelings for Vanny.
WILLOW
What?
XANDER
I think I'm feeling attracted to Vanny.
WILLOW
And that's what's bothering you? Xander, that's nothing to feel sad about. That's good news. She's probably the only girl you've liked that isn't evil.
XANDER
There is a problem with it.
WILLOW
And that would be?
XANDER
If I get involved then I'm cheating on Anya. If I get involved with someone else then Anya is really gone.
XANDER looked at the floor sadly. WILLOW moved closer to him and put her arm around him.
WILLOW
Xander, you know Anya would want you to be happy. You are not cheating on her and she will never be gone. She'll always be in your heart.
XANDER
Sometimes I miss her so much.
WILLOW
We all know that I'm in a relationship with Kennedy, and I've missed her so much since she's been with Giles in England. Sometimes, even though I'm with Kennedy, I miss Tara. I cry about it too. It's perfectly normal to miss someone so close to you.
XANDER
I wear our wedding ring sometimes. Well, our would-be wedding ring.
WILLOW
That's fine too. If that's how you are going to remember her then there is nothing wrong with that.
XANDER
The thing is, I can't date Vanny and be married to Anya. You've always been the girl with the answers, Will. You've always had your books and your brain and you've always been able to deal with stuff. How do I deal with this?
WILLOW
This is going to sound corny, but look inside your heart for the answers.
XANDER
Somehow I knew you were going to say that, Mother Love. (He laughed.) Thanks for the talk. (He hugged her.)
WILLOW
That's what I'm here for...that and bringing people back, Buffy especially.
XANDER
Speaking of Buffy, where is she?
WILLOW
She went patrolling tonight.
29 EXT. HADENFIELD GRAVE YARD - NIGHT
BUFFY walked through the grave yard. It was cold and cloudy. For some reason, despite its creepy appearance, the graveyard always calmed her. It was so quiet and you could always think. She heard a noise and turned. Upon turning, BUFFY was punched. She slammed into the side of a tombstone and collapsed on the ground. She quickly recovered and stood up. She blocked an attack from a VAMPIRE and kicked him hard in the face. He doubled back and fell on the ground, loosing his balance. BUFFY jumped and landed on the ground, plunging the stake into his heart. The VAMPIRE screamed in pain and exploded into dust.
BUFFY
Damn vampires...
SHEILA
Buffy? Buffy Summers?
BUFFY turned around and her jaw dropped. She saw one of her old friends from High School. Sheila was a troubled teen who was turned into a vampire by DRUSILLA. SHEILA attacked BUFFY at Parent Teacher night, but SHEILA ran before BUFFY could slay her.
BUFFY
Sheila?
SHEILA
Buffy? Wow. It's weird to see you here. Didn't you live in Sunnydale?
BUFFY
Didn't you hear? It was swallowed into the ground.
SHEILA
I'm guessing that was your doing?
BUFFY
Of course. How have you been?
SHEILA
Good. So, you live here in Hadenfield now?
BUFFY
Yeah.
SHEILA
People are full of surprises.
BUFFY
More surprises than you think. (She grips her stake.)
SHEILA
Whoa, calm down. I'm not here to fight you. I know that you can pack a pretty powerful punch and I wouldn't want to risk that.
BUFFY
You do know that I'm a vampire Slayer and you're a vampire? I'm not just going to let you run away...again.
SHEILA
You think you can take me?
BUFFY
I know I can take you.
SHEILA
I've learned a lot these past years. I'm not the weak girl I used to be when we had our little fist fight.
BUFFY
You were a coward. You ran. You knew I'd kill you when we fought and you know I can kill you now.
SHEILA
You got a big mouth.
BUFFY
Look who's talking.
SHEILA
I think it's about time I shut you up.
SHEILA changed into vampire face and charged at BUFFY. BUFFY punched her in the face before she got to close. SHEILA kicked at her, but BUFFY blocked it and spun around, punching SHEILA again. SHEILA kicked again and hit BUFFY in the stomach. BUFFY bent down and sweep kicked her. SHEILA fell on the ground and BUFFY moved so her legs were on both sides of her. SHEILA grabbed BUFFY and threw her to the side. Both fighters got up and looked at each other. SHEILA jumped at BUFFY, who fell down on her back and brought her foot up into SHEILA'S stomach. She moved her leg and SHEILA fell to the ground. BUFFY stood up and looked at SHEILA. SHEILA stood up and started back up. BUFFY moved at her, but SHEILA backed up and back flipped onto the top of a mausoleum.
BUFFY
Running away again?
SHEILA
Not really. I'm hungry and you've bored me. This is not over, trust me.
SHEILA jumped off the mausoleum and disappeared from BUFFY'S view. That was enough patrolling for one night. BUFFY put her stake in her pocket and started walking home.
26 INT. MIKE'S BEDROOM - NIGHT
MIKE proudly walked into his room. He smiled and put his wallet down on his dresser. He picked up his wallet again and opened it. His smile grew bigger when he looked at his drivers’ license. He finally got it and he could finally drive. He sighed happily and sat on his bed. He was taking his shoes off when his cell phone rang. He picked it up and spoke into it.
MIKE
Hello?
STEPHANIE (on the other line)
Mike...help me...
MIKE
Hold on, Steph. I'll be right there.
26 INT. STEPHANIE'S ROOM - NIGHT
STEPHANIE hung up the phone and put it back on the charger. She wiped the tears from her eyes and looked at the clock. He did it again. Her Uncle Dan was drunk and had beaten her again. Even though she was a Slayer, his brutal beating still hurt. She wished she could move, but she was stuck with him. Both her parents had died in a car accident, and he was the only family member she could stay with. She was to afraid to fight back, even with her new power.
STEPHANIE
Mike, please hurry...
26 INT. STEPHANIE'S KITCHEN - NIGHT
DAN walked into the kitchen, almost tripping over everything in his path. He braced himself on the sink and looked at it. He stupidly stared at the dishes in the sink. STEPHANIE was supposed to do the dishes, but she didn't she had to pay. DAN drunkenly picked up a butchers knife and started up towards her room.
30. EXT - OUTSIDE STEPHANIE'S HOUSE - NIGHT
MIKE parked his car in the street and was almost hit by a car as he ran out. ANA slammed on the breaks, but then kept going after knowing MIKE was ok. MIKE closed his car door and ran up STEPHANIE'S driveway.
26 INT. STEPHANIE'S BEDROOM - NIGHT
STEPHANIE sat on her floor, crying to herself and hugging her legs to her body. Her heart skipped a beat when her door burst open and her drunken Uncle Dan entered the room. She noticed the butchers’ knife in his hand and started to cry more.
UNCLE DAN
You forgot to do the dishes, you worthless piece of crap.
STEPHANIE
I...I forgot.
UNCLE
Well, I'm tired of this. I'm tired of all this bull **** I have to put up with. I should have never taken you into my house when your parents died. If anything, I should have prayed that you died with them.
MIKE walked into STEPHANIE'S room and saw her crying on the floor. He walked past UNCLE DAN and kneeled next to STEPHANIE on the floor.
MIKE
What's going on here?
UNCLE DAN
I'm about to kill your best friend, boy. Now get out of my house!
MIKE
Your house? This house is more my house than it is yours. If you aren't at work then you're at the bar getting drunk. You're never home and if you are you're drunk. If put lots of hard work into this house and lots of work into your nieces life. I've done so much more for her than you ever will. So I think you should be the one to leave.
UNCLE DAN
You know what? For that, I'm going to kill you too, you little *******.
BUFFY V.O.
Tomorrow, Willow will use the essence of this Scythe to change our destiny. From now on, every girl in the world who might be a Slayer will be a Slayer.
STEPHANIE looked up from the floor and glared at UNCLE DAN as he closed in on her best friend. She had to do something. She had to save him and herself. This would end tonight one way or another.
BUFFY V.O.
Every girl who could have the power will have the power.
STEPHANIE stood up and stood in between MIKE and UNCLE DAN. She kicked her foot up and knocked the knife out of his hand.
BUFFY V.O.
Can stand up, will stand up.
UNCLE DAN swung his fist at STEPHANIE. Her Slayer senses finally kicked in and she blocked his attack.
BUFFY V.O.
Slayers. Every one of us. Make your choice. Are you ready to be strong?
UNCLE Dan swung at STEPHANIE again. She ducked. She stood tall and strong. A Slayer. A woman of power. A woman no longer afraid of her worst nightmare. She kicked her uncle in the stomach and punched him in the gut. She round house kicked him in the face and punched him in the throat. He gagged and fell down on the floor. He picked up the knife and stood up again. He sliced at her with the knife, but she jumped back, avoiding the blade. He sliced at her again and caught his arm. Her senses kicked in once again and she did a clever fighting move and used his strength against him. She threw his sweaty slippery hands to the side as she held onto the knife. He let go and before anyone could think, STEPHANIE buried the knife deep in his stomach. He fell to the floor, blood gushing everywhere. MIKE cautiously walked to him and checked for a pulse. There was none.
MIKE
He's dead...
STEPHANIE started crying hysterically again. MIKE walked forward and took his best friend in his arms. He held her close to him as she cried, trying to give her the best comfort he could. Her legs gave out, and he followed her to the ground. They both kneeled on the ground. MIKE just held STEPHANIE as she cried, much like XANDER did with WILLOW at the end of "Grave".
