Hello boys and girls, welcome to Lee's first fan-fic.
I'll be posting this story *mostly* in acts, eventually, it will come to an end, and I can get some feed-back (but please post comments between acts if you want to)
Basically, as the title suggests, this is the alternative script for the season finale of Buffy 'Chosen'
Ive kept some details of it, eg, the amulet from Angel, and Angel leaving, and some other stuff along the way, but I wanted to change some stuff about it too.
Please...Dont tell me I suck, cuz I'll cry, lol...nah Im joking, be very honest, cuz I need to know whats good, whats bad, etc, and remember, this is my first ever fan-fic (that Ive done completely on my own anyway)
So anyways, here goes:

Teaser

INT. CHAPEL AT CEMETERY – NIGHT

The camera pans from SPIKE and THE FIRST (as BUFFY) to BUFFY and ANGEL kissing, passionately.
SPIKE turns from facing BUFFY and ANGEL and walks through THE FIRST.

SPIKE
(Under his breath) That b******.

THE FIRST (as BUFFY) smiles, evilly, and watches BUFFY and ANGEL.
We cut back to BUFFY and ANGEL, who have now stopped kissing.

BUFFY
(Confused) How? When? Huh?

ANGEL
(Smiling) Good to see you too.

BUFFY
Sorry. Just a little…well, confused.

ANGEL
Me too. What’s going on here Buffy?

BUFFY
You mean Sunnydale, or…something else?

ANGEL
Everything.

BUFFY
It’s The First. Bigger. Stronger. Well, its threats have gotten a little, over the top, but in terms of hurting me…lets just say, he’s not big with the…touching.

ANGEL
I remember.

ANGEL takes out an amulet out of his pocket. It shines, even though there is no light. The amulet is held on by a long silver chain.
He holds it up for BUFFY to see.
BUFFY takes the amulet, and looks at it.

BUFFY
I hate to break your heart, but this really isn’t my style.

ANGEL
Its not a fashion accessory.

BUFFY
I really, really believe that.

ANGEL and BUFFY smile.

BUFFY
So what the hells it for?

ANGEL
You.

BUFFY waits for ANGEL to carry on.

BUFFY
For?

ANGEL
Strength. Power. For your final battle.

BUFFY
Hey!

ANGEL
Final as in…

ANGEL looks around, uncomfortable.

ANGEL
Wow. There’s no way I’m getting outa this one is there?

BUFFY
Nope. And thanks for the…fashion-disaster.

ANGEL
Its supposed to give the wearer, power, strength…Which I think is what I’ve already mentioned.

BUFFY
What? You think I’m not strong enough?

ANGEL
Ok, definitely coming out with the wrong answers today.

BUFFY
I'm teasing.

ANGEL
So…where do we start with this? The fight? I mean…where should we go?

BUFFY
I start, you don’t.

ANGEL
What?

BUFFY
Angel. This thing, the First, its strong, and its powerful, and it wants me dead. I don't even know whether I’ll be able to stop it.

ANGEL
Then we can stop it together.

BUFFY
Not if you’re here. I cant fight this if I have to worry about you. And besides, if I lose, I’ll need a back-up. That’s where you come in.

ANGEL
Gotcha.

BUFFY
Well. I better go. Start preparing.

ANGEL
I’ll start…backing you up.

BUFFY and ANGEL stare at each other, then hug.

BUFFY
Thank you.

ANGEL just smiles and walks out. BUFFY walks over to CALEB, who’s body is on the floor, covered in blood.

BUFFY
Knew I’d get ya.

BUFFY exits, and THE FIRST (as BUFFY) walks over to CALEB.

THE FIRST
Is there any plan that girl doesn’t ruin?

THE FIRST (as BUFFY) kneels down beside CALEB.

THE FIRST
Doesn’t matter anyway.

THE FIRST (as BUFFY) stands upright, and looks at CALEB. THE FIRST (as BUFFY) raises her arms, and a gust of wind blows around her. The wind flows around CALEB, and his eye’s shoot open. He gets up.

CALEB
(To THE FIRST) That, hurt.

End of TEASER. Roll credits…

[Lee]

Act One

INT. SUMMERS RESIDENCE – NIGHT

The camera follows BUFFY as she walks through the door. It pans to the sitting-room where most of the Potentials are sitting.
The camera turns to the dining room, where WILLOW, XANDER, DAWN, ANYA and GILES are sitting.

BUFFY
(Confused) Dawn!?

DAWN stands up.

BUFFY
(To Xander) Plan failed huh?

XANDER shrugs his shoulders.

XANDER
Well I didn’t have much say in the matter.

BUFFY shrugs and sits down, as does Dawn.

BUFFY
What a day, what a day!

GILES
Did you…find what you were looking for?

BUFFY
You could say that. Also…not.

WILLOW
Why? What happened?

BUFFY
Well…Met this really old lady, then Caleb shows up, kills her, I kill him, and then…Angel.

The group look up at her.

XANDER
Angel is here?

BUFFY
He was. I told him to go.

DAWN
Must have been intense.

BUFFY
Well yeah. You know how it is with Angel; tense all over.

BUFFY realises what she said, and the group look at her, eyes wide.

BUFFY
I mean…

(pause)

Hey! Look what he gave me!

BUFFY puts the amulet on the table. The group look at it

ANYA
Ooh! Shiny!

DAWN
But not very stylish.

BUFFY
That’s what I said.

XANDER
Oh I dunno.

XANDER turns his head, so his eye patch is facing away from the amulet.

XANDER
No…wait…I just saw it with my eye…Its not.

GILES
(Loudly) Ok! Now lets discuss the actual amulet, and not whether it goes with my handbag!

BUFFY
You have a handbag?

GILES looks at BUFFY, annoyed.

BUFFY
Sorry! Sorry.

GILES looks at the amulet, then at BUFFY.

GILES
(To Buffy) Twelfth century?

BUFFY
Strangely. I didn’t ask.

GILES
Well, it must hold some power.

WILLOW
How do you know?

GILES
I can feel the power from it. I feel sort of…tingly.

The group all look at Giles.

GILES
I wish I’d said something else.

The amulet is slowly passed around the group. GILES passes it to WILLOW.

WILLOW
I know what you mean! I feel strong…powerful.

WILLOW passes it to DAWN.

DAWN
Definitely mojo-y.

DAWN passes it to ANYA.

ANYA
Oh! I feel it! Its almost…orgasmic.

The group cover they’re faces.

ANYA
Yeah. Like I’m the only one who feels it!

ANYA passes it to XANDER. He shrugs, then puts it down.

XANDER
So Buff. Did Mr Broody say what it was for?

BUFFY
Supposedly, to make me stronger. You know, the fighty kind.

BUFFY puts the amulet around her neck.

BUFFY
I feel the power. I just…

(Pause)

I don't feel, stronger.

BUFFY takes the amulet off.

BUFFY
Will, could you and Giles look this thing up?

WILLOW
Sure. We’ll just wait for Giles to get over his tinglyness.

They all laugh, except for GILES.

GILES
Oh, how very amusing. Now if we can all focus. A battle is coming up, we need to take this seriously.

BUFFY
Ok. You get two into research mode.

DAWN
I’ll get some of the girls on stake-making duty. We’re gonna need ‘em.

ANYA
And Xander and I can lean over some of the girls, providing much needed enthusiasm!

XANDER
(Quickly) And sarcasm.

ANYA
And sarcasm!

BUFFY
Great. You guys get on that.

(Pause)

Anyone seen Spike?

XANDER
Oh, he came back a little while before you. Seems pissed. Anyway, he’s in the basement.

BUFFY
Thanks.

BUFFY gets up, and heads to the basement.

[FunkyMunky]

That's cool Lee, ok come on then where's the next bit, we need another instalment. :)

[Lee]

I should have finished the rest of act 1 by tomorrow! (But dont hold me to that!)

CUT to:

SPIKE, who is punching the walls in complete anger and rage.
BUFFY stars to walk down the stairs.

BUFFY
Spike?

SPIKE
Yep?

The banging stops and the camera follows BUFFY as she comes down to the basement. SPIKE stops and looks at her.

BUFFY
What are you doing? What’s wrong?

SPIKE
Well. Ever since I saw you and Gel-Boy enjoying each others lips, I aint been feeling so great.

BUFFY
Mr Broody? Gel-Boy? Can no one call him Angel?

SPIKE looks confused.

BUFFY
Never mind. Anyway, its just a friend thing.

SPIKE
I don't put my tongue in my friends mouth!

BUFFY looks at SPIKE, and raises her eyebrow.

BUFFY
Ok, firstly, you don't have any friends. Secondly. You know Angel and I have, well, history would be an under-statement, but you get the idea.

(Pause)

Anyway. He’s gone now. And more important things are happening.

(Pause)

I want you upstairs in five minutes. I'm calling a meeting.

CUT to:

BUFFY, who is standing in the middle of the living-room.
Various Potentials are all around the room, with Scoobies scattered all over the place.

BUFFY
I’m sure you will have heard about tomorrow, but I'm confirming it here and now.

(Pause)

Tomorrow, we go into the Hellmouth. I don't care if your not ready, I don't care if they’re not ready, we’ve waited long enough, and I say, this ends now.

Act Two

Later. WILLOW is sitting on her bed, KENNEDY is watching her as she works from her laptop. There is a large, open leather book in front of KENNEDY.

KENNEDY
Found anything?

WILLOW
Nope…This un-named amulet is quite the…un-named amulet…

KENNEDY
Well, there’s nothing in the books either.

WILLOW
You don't have to help with this you know. I understand if the books are too…dull.

KENNEDY
Strangely. Not worried about that.

WILLOW turns off her laptop, and looks at KENNEDY.

WILLOW
So what are you worried about?

KENNEDY
Dying.

WILLOW gets up and walks toward KENNEDY, stroking the hair out of her face.

WILLOW
Hey, shh. Don't talk like that. You’ll be fine.

KENNEDY
You don't know that.

WILLOW
Hey! I’ve faced more apocalypses than I can count on all my fingers and toes.

(Pause)

I don't know what it is, but I know we’re gonna win.

KENNEDY
So your not scared?

WILLOW
Oh I'm terrified. I have shaky knees, and shaky…everything else. But we’ll get through it, together.

They kiss.

CUT to:

ANDREW, AMANDA, CHAO-AHN, RONA and VI are sitting around the sofa.
ANDREW has an annoying look on his face.

AMANDA
But Batman has all those super-cool gadgets and stuff!

ANDREW
(Shouting) Superman can see through walls!!! He can see men…

ANDREW coughs.

ANDREW
Women…he can see women changing.

RONA and VI exchange a look.

AMANDA
But-

RONA
(Interrupting) Hey! As much as an interesting conversation as this, isn’t, can we please talk about something else!?

VI
Yeah!

(Pause)

What about Spider-Man?

ANDREW huffs and points his finger at VI.

ANDREW
(Quietly) Don't start!

They all continue to argue. RONA turns to CHAO-AHN.

RONA
(to Chao-Ahn) At least I can talk to you.

CHAO-AHN (in Chinese)
SUBTITLE: Your land is strange and full of loud humans.

(Pause)

And this chair smells of damp.

RONA
Right.

RONA gets up and the camera follows her. She walks past WOOD and FAITH, who are standing at the fireplace. The camera stops on them as RONA continues to walk.

FAITH
B’s had it rough. ‘Specially these last couple of weeks.

WOOD
All I'm sayin is, charging in with stakes, and holy-water isn’t gonna destroy The First.

FAITH
Maybe not. But we can try. And we’ll keep trying until we find something that works.

WOOD
Or…until we die…

FAITH
Well…there’s that too…

CUT to:

BUFFY washing her face in the sink. She gets up, wipes her face with a towel, and she see’s JOYCE reflected in the mirror.

BUFFY
(Quietly) Get out.

JOYCE
Well, is that anyway to speak to your mother?

BUFFY
Your not my mother. You’re a…thing who can wear her face.

JOYCE
Right. Because I died…You didn’t save me.

BUFFY
Shut up.

JOYCE
If only you’d come back from your, oh-so busy life a little sooner. I would’ve been alive.

BUFFY
(Shouting) Shut up!

BUFFY picks up a glass full of toothbrushes and throws it at JOYCE. It goes right through her and smashes on the wall.
JOYCE morphs into BUFFY.

THE FIRST (as BUFFY)
Temper temper. We’re all friends here.

BUFFY
I am not your friend. I don't know you, and come tomorrow, I wont have to. Because the only thing you’ll be wearing is a corpse.

THE FIRST looks at herself dressed as BUFFY.

THE FIRST (as BUFFY)
(Smiling) Sweetie. I already am.

THE FIRST disappears in a flash.

CUT to:

XANDER and ANYA in the kitchen.

ANYA
It doesn’t make the whole situation any less terrifying.

XANDER
I know, but you have to look on the bright side.

(Long Pause)

ANYA
Which is?

XANDER looks at Anya.

XANDER
I don't have to think of it now! But I'm sure…somewhere out there, there’s a bright side to this crazy plan.

ANYA looks deeply into XANDER’s eyes.

ANYA
Xander.

ANYA’s eyes start to well with tears.

ANYA
I'm scared.

XANDER gets up and buts his hand around the back of ANYA’s neck.

XANDER
I wont let anything happen to you.

XANDER kisses ANYA’s forehead.

OUTSIDE SHOT: Of the Summers Residence, the lights are being turned off.

Too funny! You really know what you're doing. And the whole "Batman vs. Superman" debate is no less hilarious than the "Dungeons and Dragons" scene in the actual verson. I would prefer it if Joyce weren't the First, but that scene was still very well written.

I had originally planned to have Joyce in spirit, but it didnt fit...It seemed...cheesy I guess, and Tara was going to talk to Willow as the First, but I tried that, and it didnt work, lol, and I tried Tara as spirit, and it didnt really fit either, so at present, its just Joyce...but there are some other suprises ;)
Thanks for everything guys! You make me so happy with all this!
And the next installment should be finished soon, but Im kinda having writers block at the moment, so when Im over that, I'll get writing ;)
