ok, i'm going away for a while, so i was thinking about taking Gwen out of action for a while. i might be able to get online for a while, if i find a cyber cafe, but for the most part, i think it would be better if Gwen left the camp for a bit...nothing permenant, she could just go home to get something, or do something for Buffy or one of the team...any suggestions?
i just don't want you guys to have to take care of my character for a whole week!

Wow i'm sorry for the problems with the money and all, But buffy is right xander is a big part of the team and all. Last RPG they had i was playing 3 characters and i had to move so i was gone for like 2 weeks or so and they took care of my characters very well plus i got them when i got back :) so i mean its not like you'd REALLY be loosing your character, unless your gone for a LONG time..

The other picture is probably cached - you should Control F5 on the other computer.


The fact that people are only experiencing the lack of username some of the time tells me that it's probably user specific, but I can't figure out what that could be. Cause I used the same code at Screen Gems as here.

I hope what I did with the sparring scene with Spike and Faith was ok. I didn't think that it made a lot of sense to do one move at a time, or we would be at it forever, so I decided just to put in that we were exchanging blows and then when I wanted to do something different I posted that, and am now waiting for Spike's move.

If anyone has any better suggestions, I'm completely open to new ideas...

And d00d...do I smell OTP? I think I do. I don't think it's going to get that far, though, but damn it's a nice thought. Someone to get Spike's mind off of Buffy for a while. And he and Gwen have a lot in common.

I think we should bank on this, Lyri. I think Spike and Gwen should remain close 'til the end of the game. This is something Buffy could use, too - when we go to Canada, Gwen could be Spike's soft spot. I'm going to write Spike as caring a lot for Gwen, because I think it's a dynamic that has a lot of potiential and great storylines for everyone else in the game when it comes time.

Don't make Gwen too injured if you want her to be able to come along - otherwise she'll have to stay behind :)

Not quite sure myself, but I know it has something to do with pairings that didn't happen on the show. Like love interests. But, honestly, I don't get that Spike and Gwen - it's more of a strong kinship, so Spike has someone to look after and Gwen was someone looking out for her.

My insides melt. Lyri, this is just so sweet. A puesdo-love story is something I think we needed to get the ball rolling on this.

Oh, and Buffy, don't worry about Gwen - I don't think Spike would go anywhere without her right now.

EDIT: Also, I was having this thought - when I the game finally ends, I'm thinking about writing the whole game again in novel form. So we can post it on the boards. I'd make a neat cover for it in Photoshop and everything. I was just thinking about that, for people who missed out on anything that happened here, they can get briefed by this cool little novel thingy. And it would be the perfect way to end the game, with this story.

My brain is so entirely overactive right now, I think I need a break. GUH.

Well that's where the story is going. So anyone who doesn't want to participate - I had envisioned they would just not be in the story - but I guess they could come up with something they were doing. They could go into LA.

Not really. Lyri and I are working on a strong friendship between them - Spike's been kinda acting like a prick, and Gwen got the sh-tty end of it 'today'. Spike feels bad, and he wants to make it up to her, because she's become someone he cares about, and wants to protect. And Gwen always, to me at least, felt like someone who wouldn't be so hard if someone just took the time of day for her, and Spike is giving that to her.

Maybe sometime in the future, but right now, I think Spike is still into Buffy. I want to play with that for a while, and when I get bored, I'll figure it out from there. But for right now, it's more of a Spike/Dawn thing than a Spike/Buffy thing.

Meh. I feel like this walk is moving a little too slowly for something that isn't supposed to be taking so long.

I think somebody of clout in this game needs to move things along a little bit. I know Buffy's gonna be on and off, and Faith won't be able to post for a while and as Dawn's not going to the haven anyway, it really doesn't matter. I'm really loathe to start anything without Buffy. So, I guess we're kinda in a holding pattern.

Personally I think the long walk is a good thing, I mean the scobies always banded together so well and that’s what we are showing, the talk they have before the fight! Plus on another point It helps us to mix the new characters together with the old ones :)

Just as a heads up, we're bringing in some new characters at various points in this escapade, so we may have to pause at a certain point longer than we normally would as we wait for that person to be online and come in.

As I've said before, and for those of you not in the States, today is a holiday and a lot of people will be away for the weekend so we may need to wait for some people.

We also don't know how they are gonna be introduced and if they are introduced to a different group first its gonna be kinda hard to tell them to go join your group. But I think maybe you get all of the slayers, minus Faith and Buffy of course. :D

New characters doesn't mean you're getting new people to your group. Also, there's an odd number of people going to the haven, so someone is bound to get more people than the other. And duh, it's Buffy.

It's really not that serious - I highly doubt anybody is gonna die, so you'll be fine.

I rather like the arrangements. Spike + Gwen = omfg, I have ideas. And we're with Buffy, and other cool people, so...YAY! Heh. I'm happy.

The groups thing doesn't matter - it was just a way to direct people to be split up and surrounding the joint. Having a large group of people all in one lump wouldn't make much sense. We'll all be together once we get inside anyway.

Edit: On second look you have at least the same amount of people...Angel, Connor, Kennedy, Gunn & Wood...

Oh that was a response to WS's post...should have quoted it.

Gunn isn't on the list because no one is playing them right now, so they are just there and we can post for him if we need him until someone else takes him up.

::Angel saw everyone looking at him expectantly. ANd turned to them all::

All:"Everyone grab a weapon and folow me to the third floor you all know the drill."

::Angel went to the weapons chest and grabbed a sword. And started on his way to the third floor hoping his team would follow::


:: Connor followed Angel to the third door. He held his sword because he knew anything could pop out at any minute.

Angel: "This place is kinda quiet. Where are all the vampires?"

:: Just then a vamp jumped out and lunged at Connor. He swung his sword and chopped the vamp's head off. The vampire quickly turned to dust.

Angel: "Never mind."



::Angel watched as the vampire lunged at Connor and sensed that there were more.He remembered what Buffy had said about contacting her when they had any vamp activity. Angel grabbed his earpiece and spoke.::

Buffy:"We're on the third floor.There's definatly some vamps up here."

::Just as Angel said that a vamp leaped onto Angel knocking off his earpiece and causing him to yell out in surprise.::



:: Connor raced over to his dad and tried to slash at the vampire but his sword got knocked out of his hand. Gunn ran to the vampire and punched him in the face. The vampire fell back so Gunn took out a stake and stabbed the vamp in the heart. The vampire turned to dust so Gunn held out his hand to Angel.

Gunn to Angel: "You okay man?"


::Angel took Gunns hand::

Gunn:"I'm fine. I had the whole situation under control."


Angel: "Yeah, I'm sure the yelling was going to scare the vampire away."

:: Connor laughed. It was just like Angel to protest when someone came to his rescue. Connor must've gotten that quality from him because he's the same way. Connor liked doing things himself. But in a place like this, the gang really needed teamwork.



Connor:"I was just surprised that's all we're not even inside yet and we're already being attacked. And I'd watch what you say about your old man"

::Angel hated it when people thought he couldn't handle himself. ::
