I love Wash, he brought some lighthearted humor to the show and he was never really violent or dark. Everyone else had their rough times, but even when he was getting tortured he seemed to be in the best of moods. I love WASH!

Oh my God! We should come up with little buttons or banners that say ^. We must show our love. He was my favorite character. I've seen Serenity 6 times and I still cry when he dies. Why?!? Why?!?

I know....and I was SO unprepared the first time I watched it, I just sat there....in SHOCK. I felt like Zoe...."Wash? Baby?" I mean....I just *knew* he wasn't really dead, even tho, the whole time, my mind was telling me...."there's no way he could have survived that." It was also telling me, "But, but....this is the FUTURE....they can work miracles with modern medicine...." Now, of course, I know it's coming.....tho I still get sad. Such a WASTE.

Much as I love Joss.....da*n him!

I know what you guys are talking about. I still like alot of you cry when Wash was killed. I love Joss and everything he does but that was just too horrible.

I loved Wash from the minute he comes onto the screen playing with his dinausaurs "... and we call it ... this land!" Just hilarious. He was kind of like the Xander of the group. Oblivious of what goes on around him from time to time but a big heart and open to everyone.

I liked the bit about him and Zoe in Out Of Gas where we see that Zoe didn't like him from the start, I wished we would have seen more flashbacks that showes how they actually grew together. They are no *obvious* couple but they had great chemistry. With all the possible prospect of another movie or maybe even a continuation of the series (well, there were rumours :D) I don't know why they killed him off. Must be that dislike for happy couples Joss Whedon has :(

^ Thats just mean lol!!

Wash was a brilliant character in the show and Movie, and when I saw the movie I hadn'r seen the series and I felt nothing when he died. But after I saw the series I kept thinking "Owww Why kil him!!" But I have to say that he death was used very effectively, he was the perfect character to Kill!

I agree, I didn't feel anything when he died in the movie. Then I watched the series and I think it totally blows that he had to die. I don't think the movie needed that kind of dramatic ending but...it is what it is and I always want every movie to end in a bow, no matter how silly or inexplainable...

I watched the series from the beginning and was madly in love with the character of Wash because he was one-half of my favorite couple on television. (Wash and Zoe are still my fav. tv couple, even though the show hasn't been on for a while.) Although his death did not surprise me in the least, it broke my heart. It still breaks my heart and will continue to for many years to come.
