Dawn isn't that bad!

I see loads of people claiming that Dawn comes off as very whiny at first--and therefore she's less likable.

Of course she whiny! She's a little sister. From what I hear, that's what younger siblings do (not that I have any).

I'm assuming after "The Body" episode, Dawn grows up pretty fast--but I'll find out.

I didnt like her aty the start but I dont think you were meant to, like buffy who just found hjer annoying and getting in the way. Whenever a new cast member appeared I was always quite critical about whether I like them or not but overall she wasnt all that bad. lol.

She really annoyed me right up until season 7. Buffy was whiny enough. a younger buffy was just too much.

Yeah, a lot of people really don't like her, but she's my favorite character! I think she grew up over the course of the show, just like any other teenage girl.

She did definitely start out gaining a bad wrap with the fans... but as you said, she does some major growing up.

She's young, she whines, but she does show great maturity at some points during season seven. I think I started to really like her after "Potential".

I love her. Sure she's annoying and stuff but... I love her, eheh..

I have to admit, I once thought Dawn was kind of whiny. Of course, I always thought Dawn was whiny but it doesn't mean that I hate her.I actually think she's an important aspect and character to the show and season 5 would totally be trashed without her. I have my moments where I think Dawn is absolutely annoying and she does get on my nerves sometimes but I actually don't mind her at all.

I don't complain about her and she's not my least favourite character at all, I actually grew to like her later on. She's not just this whiny little teenager who gets on everyones nerves.

Yes, at points she can but doesn't everyone?
