Lol, I thought that because when I was younger I didn't know who he was and I know who Spike was. So one day I was watching MTV and they had something on Billy Idol and I was like SPIKE! Totally look alike, one of my friends, Andy, said Spike reminded him of Billy Idol and I said Billy Idol reminds me of Spike muahahaha. :D

Thus you do not need new contacts. ^.^

Yup, they defintely do resemble each other! I think it's been said somewhere that Billy Idol was an inspiration for Spike. I believe James Marsters said that on the Spike: Love is Hell DVD.

When I was at Download last year, Billy Idol was playing. My friend Craig looked up at the stage and said "Oh look, its James Marsters. I mean Billy Idol" :)

Yea The Watcher is right, it was announced in "Sleeper" by Buffy that Billy Idol actually stole his look from Spike, so ya they do resemble each other, and their both hotter behind words...hehe..

On the episode for intervention (on the DVDs) there is a pic of Spike with a kind of curled up lip and bleeding face. That's where I got that idea from.

I watching the Wedding Singer on tv the other day and Billy Idol was on it around the end of the movie, at first I thought it was Spike and was like OMG squee Spike, no wait thats Billy Idol. So yeah they do look a like.
