I'm on the way out the door so I haven't gotten a change to reas the thread.

During the downtime, a few of us were trying to figure out why the board went down. During the arguement with HellsGod he said something along the lines of "I'm leaving you with something to remember me by." and then an hour or so later the boards were down. Did he hack it or was it coincidence?

Sorry for all you guys who have had to reregister. Whilst things like post count and karma don't really mean anything in the great scheme of things they do help to establish you as a long time member of a community so it must suck for those of you who have been posting here for years and are now having to start afresh.

Anyway, other than that i'm glad to see the Board remained largely unaffected by the downtime! :)

I was just wondering but was there any pattern to which accounts were lost or was it a purely random thing? Whilst posting today i've been looking around at the various members who lost their accounts and whilst there are a lot of relatively new members who have had to rejoin (who first joined in the last month or two) i've noticed quite a few long time members accounts were lost too. So was it purely random or was there some reason why certain accounts were lost and others remained?

Not that it really matters, it's just me being curious! :D

Oh no, i didn't mean to say that somebody, Buffy or anyone else for that matter, deleted certain accounts on purpose. I was just wondering if there was an actual connection between the accounts that disappeared. For example, were all those people online when the site went down? That kind of thing!

The reason i asked is that from the twenty or so closed down accounts i've noticed i can't figure out a connection myself as to why those accounts and not others were effected. Like i said, that is most likely because it happened purely randomly but it's strange all the same.

That is a question that should go in Angel Investigations (http://buffy-boards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2) to get answered. So you can go ahead and post it there. But in the meantime, perhaps try clearing out your cookies and cache, and make sure when you log in you try checkmarking the "Remember Me" button, and see if that will help. :)
