God's Messenger - The Lost Watchers Diaries.
The fact that it was reaching midnight and the school had long since closed for the night hadn't registered in the mind of Rupert Giles. Just as he was leaving, a courier had dropped off a package for him.
Three weeks earlier, Giles had been given care of his first Slayer, Buffy Summers. He had been told of her imminent arrival at Sunnydale High, but until she actually walked across the threshold of the school, Giles was not active.
In preparation for his training of the Slayer, Giles had sought many of the Watchers Diaries, but one particular diary had eluded his collection.
Simonin Munier had been a Watcher in the 15th Century. His charge was not only amongst the most famous in the Demon Slayer world, she was one of the most famous women, period.
Now that the Diaries had arrived, Giles had decided to read them thoroughly, as it was not only a testament to the life of such an heroic figure, it was also one of the most detailed collections of Slayer information ever recorded by a single Watcher, something Giles admired. He too planned to detail every single detail of his Slayer, even giving the slightest glimmer that one day Buffy Summers would be held in as high regard as Munier's, but then how many Slayers had the same level of adoration as Joan of Arc?
