1. She works well with Joss, and Joss has insinuated she would be good for the part, saying something like "Hmm let's see where could I find an olive-skinned beauty to play an Amazonian princess". Then he looked over at Morena.

2. She looks like Wonder Woman. She has that Mediterranean look that lends credibility to the back-story.

3. She's pretty much the same size as Lynda Carter who played Wonder Woman previously.

4. She'd look hotter in the uniform than Katie Holmes, or any of those other hacks who have been suggested for the role.

5. She's not well known in the mainstream yet, and traditionally this kind of actor is preferred in a super-hero part.

6. She's an actress looking for a showcase part like WW to become a star. Making her one could only help the picture.

7. She has Genre credibility, and geek-love. Cast someone like Mama Gilmour for the part, and it's kind of hard for the comic geeks to choke down.

8. She has proven capability to handle Joss quips.

9. Did anyone ever actually see the last ten minutes of Serenity? She's dressed in Amazonian garb, and running around with this jazzy Bow. She is Wonder Woman there.

10. I want her to be Wonder Woman. :D

No. 10 is my fav, But you are right I really hope she gets the part it would actually make me want to see it more(I am not really anticipating it), Plus she didn't get enough screen time in Serenity!

And she is perfect for the part!

Beyond Morena (which would be just dandy), I wonder if there will be any substantial Whedonverse nepotism, heh. Like how Sam Raimi just loves to use his brother and Bruce Campbell in the Spidey flicks. Would be fun to see some Buffy/Angel alums in cameos...

Im sure I remembered reading somewhere that WW isnt gonna be anyone from the Whedonverse.

Sounds familiar all right. Anyone gotta link. Sometimes on a second read it doesn't say exactly what you think it says. For example Joss has said on several occasions Gunn is dead. A couple of those time he appears to be joking, so what does that really mean?

You believe Gunns not dead? He had a mortal wound. But thats a debate for another thread.

I cant remember where I read that :(

It isn't that I don't believe it, it's that I'm not sure whether or not Joss believes it, even though I've read where he says it. Check this thread out. You'll see what I mean -

Is Gunn Dead? (http://buffy-boards.com/showthread.php?t=20292)

The point being a quote doesn't necessarily prove or disprove something in all situations.

Hmm, maybe he wants to keep it open incase he wants to do something else with the characters.
He doesnt really seem to know himself.

Yeah, but do you get the point? It has nothing to do with whether, or not Gunn is dead. I'm saying Joss or a ME writer might say something, but it doesn't necessarily make it a fact in all situations.

OK here's another one so you don't get fixated on the Gunn thing. In Season 3, I think it was, Marti Noxan said the slayer line ran through Faith, and that couldn't possibly change until Faith died. At the end of Season 5 Joss says the slayer line was still running through Faith at the time of the Gift so another slayer couldn't be called. BUT if I remember correctly, he also said this "slayer line running through Faith thing" could change if the writers could think of a way to do it.

Do you see what I mean? A quote might seem black and white, but it ain't necessarily so.

AOL.com has a Wonder Woman poll going. Morena is on it. She's only getting 3% of the vote, which in my opinion adds credibility to this idea I have 97% of AOL users are idiots, but on the other hand one might say 97% of AOL users think I am, so I don't know. :freak:

Oh, and the poll is here -
