Hey, everybody! I'm back! Sorry, I was gone for so long. My mom was in the hospital and then one of my best friend's mom died, another friend's mom died, and then my cousin was killed. I haven't had the best few weeks, but I'm glad to be back. Good to see that I still have my character.

Question (not a criticism) - how much would Dru really know about vampires?

I would say whatever she feels - she would feel a craving for blood, blahblah, but I also think that part of the spell could include mimicing a soul. She doesn't have one, nessecarily, but she doesn't have an overridding desire to do evil. Basically she has a mimic of her human soul, along with her human memories, in a vampire body. So she'd work off what her body was telling her.

Remember that post I made not all that long ago about Dru being a vampire? She knows she IS one, but she just doesn't know what that means. She saw Spike's face, and sooner or later she's gonna start craving blood, so I think she'll be able to put two and two together soon enough.

Well, Dru was Catholic, so I'm playing like she doesn't know exactly what a vampire is or what it does, but she does know it is a demon, a creature of evil, so she does know that it would normally harm humans... She will began to feel the bloodlust and whatnot...

That's what I assumed, at first. But that leads into bigger issues - because Drusilla has only her human memories, and no memories of being a vampire, we raise the question if the spell simulates a soul. And the way Harley has been playing her, that's the angle I assumed we were going down.

Drusilla doesn't have a soul, but the spell simulates one because she believed, for the first few minutes, herself to be human. Maybe we could do something to where the more information she finds out, the less hold the simulation of the soul has on her, and the more vampiric she becomes. But then again, this is speculating.

I've just been dealing with what I've been given, rolling with the punches. So if someone wants to explain to me what is really going on here, I'd be more than happy to play along.

Well when Harley and I were discussing this idea, we decided that what would happen is Willow's spell would be interrupted, the resultant spell causing Dru to lose her memories of being a vampire. We already have two vamps with souls, so I think this should be a different thing just for variety's sake.

Just a question when will Buffy find out Dawn haas left and what will her reaction be?
I hadn't thought about it - I don't think it's that important.

Yeah I don't think Dru should get a soul just because we already have a vamp with a soul, but Faith has just said to everyone that Dru has a soul, so should we just correct her?

My bad...I was under the impression that she got her soul back and thats why she lost her memories temporarily. *shrugs* If not, we should probably fix my post. :rolleyes:

Since Angel is the only one she actually knows and trusts.

I'm kind of doing the same. I'm going to give it to the weekend for our Nina to reply. I sent the player an email nearly two weeks ago. So if they don't reply and jump in by this weekend, I'll just 'forward' Nina into the car with them, and then at least conversation in the car can resume and if Nina comes back they can jump in there.

That's cool - but just FYI. You don't need anything special to post as NPC's. Just have them come along with you in whatever you are doing. They are there but you don't need to post specifically what they are doing unless it helps you.

That's why I'm asking. See I like playing witches/warlocks more than other types such as warriors and lorists and the such, I would play Connor, but I honestly don't think I'd do a very good job. The one exception would be Spike cause me and him are alot alike in the way we act. lol.

We have rules for this game because we don't want people who have no idea what they're doing to just start playing. The people playing here actually have talent, and take this game seriously. Random people would just be able to slide on in and pick whatever character they want if we didn't have rules.

I'm sorry, but if you can't even take the time to read a couple of posts and send a pm, why are we to think that you would keep up with the RPG?

The application consists of: giving us three characters that you would want to play and telling us how much time you have to spend on the RPG, so that we don't give you a part that is too big for your time committment. In what way is that "going overboard"?

Just a note - everyone please stick marginally to the plan of us all meeting up again around the Armory. Don't go to Drusilla yet as there is something I want to happen there before we get there so timing is a factor. Thanks!

And on the note of rules... please, do NOT post actions of other characters! I noticed Illyria particually was doing that in the last posts. And I was hoping to make the whole hand thing just a tad bit more exciting. But I guess it's pretty much been finished in a matter of five posts. Since everyone took it upon themselves to also action out the hand as just splat. And Um... I'm not even sure on the logistics of what just happened. It doesn't really make sense. Angel is outside, as he jumpped out the upstairs window (which isn't what I don't understand... that made sense)... but it was Illyria's throwing a knife at it, seemingly from inside??? How does that work if Angel is standing facing the house outside and presumably fighting it there... (discounting for the moment that all of that should never have taken place since Illyria was actioning Angel)...

I hate to be a b*tch about this, but it's really made a mess of it. And I'd like if some people could edit so that people are only playing THEIR OWN characters. And so that perhaps we can get maybe a page of posts from this hand thing such that everyone who's at least checking in has a chance to chase the thing around. And perhaps there could be a group effort to chop the thing up after it runs amock in the house. And then perhaps our on site witch, if she'd like, could say some kind of simple spell to suck the evil life out of the hand or something... But, yeah I don't so much appreciate my little plot line being just kind of killed in a few posts. I know it's nothing as big and super and such as the plot Buffy came up with for the bigger story... but I thought Lindsey's evil hand coming after them after being detached from the now dead Lindsey would be kind of fun and worth a few laughs.

just for the record i'm completely sorry about the whole Illyria post... I was stressed out over some bad family news and its the first thing that came to mind... I completely appologize... and actually in the post i did specify it was still moving even with the knife stuck through it seeing as i really didnt think it would kill it being demonized and all but like i said i am completely sorry about it... It was kinda the first things that came to mind i was kinda tired and i had just found out my grandmother had cancer and i was trying to relieve stress by posting which was really my mistake so agian i really do appoligze

I'm sorry about you grandmother. My grandmother passed away a few years ago from cancer. It's not the funnest thing. Some people manage to recover and others don't.

If you can edit the post, that would be good so as to have it not be actioning another character other than Illyria. Because that was really the biggest problem. And that the 'visualization' of the scene really makes no sense. And make the hand able to keep running... And then if everyone after that could adjust their posts accordingly. If anyone can't edit, post your edit here or PM it to me, and I'll edit it for you. If players don't edit in a day or two, I'll edit accordingly so that the flow makes sense to what's needed, without changing things too much.

Well here's a thought. To get the LA story running again, Angels baby101's post has the hand still alive, bt trapped. If one of the more dimwitted or curious of our group goes over and either accidentally or on purpose frees the hand, we can fight it again.

Ok not sure if I'm allowed to But WB hasn't been on in a while to delete the posts, if I was in the wrong I'm sorry and my Nina post can be deleted when it gets redone, but I just thought we could try to move on from what happened.
And I hope it's ok that I used the Nina account, I know CC* was suposed to be coming back, but she hasn't been on in a while.

So the hand is free again no one kill it straight away, fight with it, I'm guessing we can have some fun with the hand, it would probably be quick moving. Keep sending it after different characters as there allot in the room. Chase it around the house. that type of thing, we will have to wait for WB to get back on so we can know more about where this storyline will end up.

And also remember what Buffy Summers said a while ago, try and say more then a few lines. Describe what your character is doing or feeling at that moment. Try and go into to detail, like remember when you (Just say) turn, your cloths turn to, mention what your wearing, or your hair flicks around.

Okay, so I edited the posts in the LA thread and then deleted the ones after them (I have them saved though). So I guess we pick up from the point where Angel is fighting with the hand outside.

I've emailed WB to check up on her, but Black Eye Guy is going to take over the storyline until she gets back.

Thanks for the fantastic enthusiasm! I'm gonna have to make several with different characters, because the theme music I have isn't long enough to cover all of our characters unless I loop it. Ah well!

EDIT: Also, if you have any decent clips you think would be useful, PLEASE post them up! I'm having enough trouble finding them as it is.

um, i have a question and i was wondering if anyone could help me. amy is always doing all these spells and stuff, like she's supposed to do a locater spell now, but i dont know what the ingredients would be or what i would have to do for it. i dont want to make her (or me :p) look stupid so how do i know what i should say?

Just say something like I've got all the ingredients already that way you won't have to name anything!

Well it's probably best not to do that, as it would be weird that she just carries the ingredients for a locator spell around with her, you'd want to keep it as real as possible. But you could just skip the ingredients, you'd just need a map of LA, just ask for that from Nina, and then just say a spell and have a light appear on the map tracking the hand. That way you don't have to pull ingredients out of nowhere or name them.

Guys, I'm really sorry about this, but since school began i have been over-loaded with work. I have Student Government, Yearbook, and other school classes on my shoulders, and soon ill start newspaper, along with church stuff and other obligations. An rpg really isnt on my top priority list right now, but when stuff begins to die down and there's a spot available, I'll be happy to re-apply myself to the rpg. I hope you guys understand, and im truly sorry if my leaving is an inconvenience. I wish you all the best and ill be checking in to see what all is going on along the way.

I just wanna say this now and get it out.... as most of my fellow merrickans know My grandma has cancer and she has gotten really bad infact its so bad that we're expecting to have to drop everything sometime withen the next 3 weeks... which means i might not have time or energy or want to come on her and tell everyone i'll be absent for a while So please if my post is neeeded and yall havent seen me around in a few days please someone take over for me till i return which shouldn't be to long maybe a week or two... Just enough time For me to go to the funeral and get some stuff done. Just a note - and nothing against Lyri, cause I know it was confusing - Buffy is now in Drusilla's room. Ansara had blown a hole in the wall to the outside and had gone through it, but came back into the room to fight Buffy. Drusilla is still outside, because Ansara had put her behind her as she charged Buffy.
