I personally go for Wesley and Lilah. They were so interesting together and both were ambigious characters (well, Wesley was at the time). Wesley and Fred were okay, but a bit too cutesy for me.

While I really enjoyed Lilah and Wes, I had to vote for Wes and Fred I thought they were the perfect amount of cute!! I really wish we could have seen more of them, although then we never would have gotten to see that amazing death sceen...hmm?

i totally went wes/fred. i hate lilah in every aspect. she wasnt evil enough for me to like her for that but she wasnt cool enough to like her for that and being with wes just made his coolness level drop. fred was awesome

As much as Wesley/Lilah was interesting, it lacked everything Wesley/Fred was about. Of course, I'm a Fresley shipper (WELL, more of an Illyria/Wesley shipper, but SHH, not the point). Fred/Wesley was more ... not sure what. I just liked it better.

I'm not a hard core shipper of Wes/Lilah because I have nothing against Fresley, but really, to me Wes and Lilah were the most adult ship from either show. Fresley ended like a fairytale, it never matured nor was it given time to, despite being out there since Pylea.

Even though Fred/Wesley is adorable, I went with Wesley/Lilah. They were just more interesting, IMO. And like Fiver said, Wesley was much more interesting when he was dating Lilah than he was when he was dating Fred.

I am failing to understand why fred and wesley had what some seem to be describing as a less mature relationship. Why does there have to be pain and turmoil and hatred in a mature relationship.
Wes and Fred were connected. They meshed, they had a love that was real and sacrificial. They weren't using each other for information or gratification. They were true, they were beautiful. Beauty is truth.
Just because the relationship went past the reigning jaded veiw of love that abounds here, does not make it any less true or mature.

Ok but Wes/Lilah wasn't really love I mean come on the guy made her dress up as Fred I mean if that doesn't scream I love fred to you I don't know what does. Lilah knew Wes would never be able to love her because he was in love with Fred!

Although I liked Dark Wes and Lilah, this was no contest. Wesley and Fred belonged together. If you need any more proof of that just look at what became of Wesley after Fred died. He completely lost himself. See, as long as Fred was alive, Wes was okay. Even if she was with someone else, he could deal because she was still a part of his life. But when she died, there was nothing left for him. I personally thought his death in NFA was a piece of mercy. In the end, the only thing Wes wanted was to be with his true love, Fred.

Wes loved Fred and it was true love, but personally, i prefered seeing wes with lilah. It was like he was another man so it was different... Anyway, i picked 'wes/lilah'.

I always like messy relationships better than cutesy ones. Really, I liked both pairings. I love both Fred and Lilah. They're both awesome characters. Wes respected them both in different ways. But Lilah felt stronger. I know they both died, so neither one ended up that strong. And both deaths were tragic. But between the two, Lilah was the character who had more substance. She felt solid and real and tangible.

Here's the thing: Wes put Fred on a pedestal. She represented an ideal. Wesley loved and respected her goodness and her warmth. Eventually, she would have fallen from that pedestal or gotten tired of being placed on it because, as we know, she isn't just good and kind and warm. She's a complex individual, just like anyone else. With Lilah, it was different. Wes hated her at the start, but he grew to respect her for her ambition and her ruthlessness and her strength and her cunning. Her strength made him stronger. He became more confident. He began his own outfit. He saved Angel. He really became his own man.

Both relationships seemed doomed from the outset. But, to me, the relationship with Lilah seemed more beneficial to Wes in the long-run and, also, more real and exciting and true-to-life.

Wesley/Fred- I was a fan of this 'ship from the off. I thought they were so cute and well-suited. I was always rooting for those two crazy kids to finally see sense about the compatibility that us them. The closest to soul mates any of the A.I members could come.
And of course, in typical Evil Joss Style the moment the Fresley dream came true...what happened?

However Wesley/Lilah definitely had it's merits. I adored what Wes brought out in her. Kinda proved she was human after all...and kinda lonely. I think she did fall for Wesley even if he didn't in return. I mean she looked so hurt whenever he payed attention to Fred and covered up with vicious jealously.

So yeah I loved Lilah with Wesley, but I prefer Fresley if that makes sense. Hehe
