Willow Quips

Hey, how come one of the best quippers in all of Whedondom doesn't have a quotes thread?

I was watching The Witch last night, and one of Willow's quips made me laugh again, even though I've seen it dozens of times.

It's the one where they're trying to figure out who's attacking the Sunnydale cheerleaders. Giles says to the Scoobs, "Why would anyone want to harm Cordelia?"

Willow replies, "Uhh...maybe, because they've met her."

lmao! I love that quote, It's so good to see that Willow had such a line and continued with that humor through out the show!

Yeah that was cute. My favourite cute Willow bit would be that one in Surprise where she's wearing that floppy hat, and she kind of giggles and says "I said Date".

Wait that didn't really express it, did it? One sec, I'll get the quote.

Oz: I'm gonna ask you to go out with me tomorrow night. And I'm kinda
nervous about it, actually. It's interesting.

Willow: Oh. Well, if it helps at all, I'm gonna say yes.

Oz: Yeah, it helps. It-it creates a comfort zone. (Willow smiles) Do
you wanna go out with me tomorrow night?

Willow: (cringes and slaps her hand to her forehead) Oh! I can't!

Oz: Well, see, I like that you're unpredictable.

Willow: Oh, it's just it's Buffy's birthday, and we're throwing her a
surprise party.

Oz: It's okay.

Willow: But you could come. If you want to.

Oz: Well, I don't wanna crash.

Willow: No, it's fine! Well, you could be m... my date.

Oz: (nods) All right. I'm in. (smiles)

Willow smiles back, and after a moment indicates she has to go. Oz nods
to give her leave. She starts away, smiling widely.

Willow: (to herself) I said 'date'.

Willow has some fabulous tongue twisters, like the one in "Buffy and Dracula" near the beginning when Giles asks her if she can keep a secret (which turns out to be about his leaving.)

Giles: Willow, um...you mustn't repeat what I'm about to say. Especially not to Buffy.

Willow: Uh-oh...

Giles: You promise?

Willow: Oh, god. Well, I guess. Now that I know there's something to know, I can't NOT know, just because I'm afraid somebody'll know I know, you know?

Giles: Did that mean yes?

Willow: Yeah.

She's so wonderful!

lol Reading over these just makes me remember why I love Willow so much! I love how she speaks, but I think my all time favorite is

I do doodle. You too. You do doodle to.

It's the way she delivers the line that makes it perfect, and the innocent way she says it!

yeah willow has that innocent thing going for her, and that line is so funny BEG... i remember laughing so much when i heard it for the first time

WILLOW: (smiles) Thanks. (stops smiling, looks embarrassed)
TARA: I mean ... great.
WILLOW: (embarrassed) Thanks. You do too. Is that a new-
TARA: Oh, yeah. (glancing nervously at her dress)
WILLOW: It's nice.
TARA: Thanks.

Very awkward silence.

TARA: I-I'm gonna get something to drink.
WILLOW: Oh, yeah, great. You should.

Tara exits toward the kitchen.

WILLOW: (muttering to herself) You don't wanna get thirsty.

I just watched this episode and I find that willow was totally cute in that scene! I love when she's awkward and when she babbles!

And then there's the one from "Fear, itself"

Willow: Oh yeah. Well, so is your face.
Buffy (and me): What?! What does that mean?

Right now my favourite Willow quote is not so much a Willow quote as a short Willow/Oz dialogue..

Oz: I'm going to ask you to go out with me tomorrow night, and I'm kind of nervous about it actually. It's interesting.
Willow: If it helps at all, I'm going to say yes.

(Obviously there's more to that dialogue but yeah. All cute :p )

Then second best would be her talking about Faith in Ennemies .. she sounds so angry/funny when saying do-that girl... hehe

Fear itself
We have to make sure she has fun. We have to force fun upon her. Yeah, and if Parker shows up, we'll just ax-murder him. That's halloweenie.

And of course....
Willow: "I'm Joan of Arc. I figured, we had a lot in common. Seeing as how I was almost burned at the stake, and plus, she had that close relationship with God."
Xander: (to Oz) "And you are?"
(Oz pulls back shirt to reveal name badge reading 'God'.) Xander: "Of course. I wish I'd thought of that before I put down my deposit. I could've been God."

Last but not least.. said already but still... and it's repeated twice too so make it better

As I've said before though, my real favourite Willow quotes are everything involving Anya and Willow. Like in Triangle and Same Time, Same Place etc... Then again, Anya's lines are usually the funniest in those situations.. Except for Willow's "Hello, gay now." :D
