I don't watch it religously to be honest but I caught a few episodes of the last series. semed good but not up to the standard of the origonal run. I WILL make a point of watching the episodes with Anthony Head in though. Should be interesting.

Although I always thought he'd make a great Dr Who himself...guess theres no hope of that now...

hehe lol, me and my boyf thought a while ago that Giles should be cast as the next Bond! He'd have been great, don't you think? Never really pictured him as a Dr. Who though, but as he plays a baddie in it it will be interesting to watch his episode! I'm not that bothered about watching it, but I did watch all the last series (only 'cos my boyf is a fan!) so I will be watching Anthony's episode. Hope it's soon!

Tony's Doctor Who appearance (ep title - School Reunion) will be aired on Saturday 29th April on BBC1 at 7.20 pm (BST). As I think I may have mentioned before, the ep features the return of former companions Sarah Jane Smith and lovely ol' K9. Tony plays a sinister school headmaster...

Master K, i know, it was flipping brilliant.

He played the guy like an Evil Giles, not Ripper, i can't explain, it was kinda like Giles but Polluted.

I thought he was excellent, i loved him and Tennant on screen together.

Ohh and Sarah Jane, she is just as beautiful as she was, i can't believe iut, ok a bit older, but heck i drive a 1960's VW and it runs smooth;)
(note that was a Joke, i dont drive)

K9 was awesome, made me laugh all the time.

Loved how he was sarcastic but not in the car, when Mickey was asking for its help and K9 was like 'We are in a car' and Mickey just didnt get it.

I have to say this was up there with the best Buffy/Angel episodes for me:)

I thought Alexis Denisof would have made a great James Bond, not English, but he pulled it off well enough in Buffy/Angel. And in the last two seasons of Angel he was cool enough, plus the look is perfect.

I couldn't get into the new Doctor Who, but Anthony Head as the main bad guy will make me tempted to start trying again.

In the gag reel of the show there are two small clips of Anthony, one you can't even see him much, he's next to a monster, and the other one is great, he's doing the green screen scene and starts dancing.

I saw the episode the other day, and he was scary.

According to today's Daily Mirror, Tony will feature in a new Doctor Who spin-off...an animated version...but not as his previous character (the Krillitane Mr Finch)

26 January 2007
DOCTOR TOON!
Nicola Methven And Polly Hudson
HE'S travelled through space and time, and now Doctor Who is going into a different dimension - as a 2D cartoon hero.

Pleased with the ongoing success of the sci-fi hit, the Beeb has gone and made an animated version of the show.

Called Infinite Quest, it is one continuous story to be shown in 13 instalments alongside the next series during BBC3's Totally Doctor Who.

David Tennant and Freema Agyeman will voice their characters, and the lovely Anthony Head will pop up in a brand new role (ie not Mr Finch the Krillatane from series two, Who fans).
Writer Russell T Davies tells us: "The Doctor and his assistant Martha follow a trail of clues across wild and wonderful alien worlds, to find the location of the legendary lost spaceship, the Infinite." Bring it on!

OK, as a fan of Dr Who and Torchwood I have something to say.
They really are egging this Dr Who aren't they?
I'm sorry, but there must come a point when Russell T Davis sits back and thinks, ok thats enough.
I mean Three Whoverse TV shows and now an Animated Series(haha, Whedon you fail in comparison) maybe great BUT is there anything else.

I'm someone who can get bored quickly and too much of the same thing will get me very bored.

BotD,
I get what you're saying but if the quality continues to be as good as it has been with the other shows to date I'll be watching :)
I think that this new animated segment looks like it will be part of the kids' show Totally Doctor Who, so it probably isn't aimed at the likes of you and me.

Personally, I don't mind it. I wish the Buffyverse had the audience to do the same thing. I wanted to see Buffy animated. Also as Mr. P said, up until this point, the different shows target different age groups, and therefore slightly different audiences.

See you have to ask yourself IF the quality has been that good.
Who itself, that has gone from strength to strength, so far.
BUT I might be the only one, but Torchwoods end pretty much sucked for me as a matter of the show and its potential.
And shall we even start on Sarah Jane and her Mysteries?
I understand the difference in audience, but I gotta say that i'm not entirely sure that is an issue.
Dr Who is family viewing. Torchwood is the adults of that family. SJ is aimed at the kiddies.
There is a show for each of those, much more will just be one programme saturating the channels.
There are three shows now and I can bet you that most true Who fans will watch them all.
Its the timing that, for me, is the issue.
If they waited a couple of years, maybe, but its like one continuous loop of Dr Who in some way and ALL by Russell T Davis. He has done a great job so far, but if Dr Who takes up 9 months of his time, Torchwood takes up 9 months, SJ takes up 7 months, even the greatest writer will start to feel that pressure and as he is Exec Prod on them and will oversee scripting, somewhere quality is going to give.
