Hey guys,
I just re-watched 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' (haven't seen it since it came out) and I was so shocked lol!!! It really took me back! I can't see Sarah Michelle Gellar as anyone but Buffy now. If you guys remember her death scene, where the killer starts bashing her I was like come on Buffy fight back!!! Even more recently, (like in 'The Grudge') I was like come on Buffy you're the slayer fight this thing! Lol...
Is it just me or is everyone like this???

I have that movie. Used to love it. Then I watched it recently and realised just how bad it really is.
At least she did attempt to fight back when she was being killed.

A year and a half ago I had a little bit of the "come on Buffy, fight back!" reaction watching SMG in The Grudge. Not overly much.
The Lois Duncan novel of I Know What You Did Last Summer is better than the movie. It's a mystery with some violence, but it's not a "slasher" novel. Not that it's a great book but I thought it was okay when I read it years ago. I read on the imdb.com site that the author hates what the filmmakers did to her book, turning it into a slasher-thriller.

I actually think her hair looked awful long. Way too obviously fake.

Heh, I know what you mean. When I watched The Grudge I kept thinking: Why is she scared? She should kick its ass!

Exactly what my friend and I were thinking during the film! It's hard to see her as another character and not to think about buffy...and since it was an horror movie I was kinda expecting her to act and talk like buffy...

I saw a TV interview by SMG when she was promoting The Grudge and she said that after a 'scared running scene' the director would speak to her in these big huge lengthy sentences and the translator would turn to her and say "more scared" LOL!!!!
Apparently she was running very Buffy-esque and not as a 'helpless girl' :D

Well, I have a thing for such movies. I wished SMG got part in Urban Legends.

After rewatching the movie, the last time was a few years ago, now I see alot more things I never noticed. Alot more character traits, actions, ironic moments. Loved the characters in it, maybe that's just me but years ago I could care less :silly: but now I get them.

met husband to be
I always liked to think they met on scooby doo (i dont know if it is true or not) But it makes me laugh when I think of the corny characters falling in love.... heh
I used to love all those 'scary movies' when I was just old enough to watch MA! Now they all seem kinda lame but fun to watch with ya girlfriends and a few drinks...
Although I think I would get really scared if I watched it all alone now... I live in the sticks so no one would hear me scream. ooh scary...

Scooby Doo was made 5 years after I Know What You Did Last Summer and before Scooby was made she had a very small appearance in She's All That. I heard she took that role just because Freddy was in it :)
I remember the first time I watched IKWYDLS. It was at a sleep over and it was such a creepy film to watch. I kept having flash backs of when Ryan's character goes into the water for the crown and that guy opens his eyes. Very freaky :)

There are moments when I get all "C'mon girl, kick his butt" but not all the time so partially, yes.
