*Hello? Is this thing on? SB taps microphone with finger.

Where is everyone! Come on, time to watch one of the greatest Buffy episodes ever!

I watched this the other day. I just love it. I think it is honestly the one episode that you should show people if they want to be impressed by a Buffy episode. It has all the necessary back story and an intriguing plot.

I keep trying to remember what I was thinking the first time I watched it when it aired. I do not think I saw the ending coming; Buffy killing Angel. I just wish I remembered.

i just wasnt posting because i thought it was ridiculous that no one else does. but anyway, when i saw it, id already seen future episodes first, so i knew how it would end. i didnt know about that weird hypnotizing-thing drusila could do though, or that she killed kendra, so all the stuff about her was a surprise. i thought it was cool how we saw the flashbacks of when angel first saw buffy. and it helped me understand that quote better: "i watched you, and i saw you called. it was a bright afternoon out in front of your school. you walked down the steps...and...and I loved you". and the scene itself was very sweet, as well as interesting to see buffy "back in the old days". i liked how the episode was a very big growing point for willow. she did her first big spell, which would lead her to later become dark willow. its like the beginning where that all started. i dont know if anyone knew where that plot was gonna go (and if anyone did, it was probly just joss). and i thought that whole scene where xander was waiting by willow and talking to her, hoping she'd wake up was very sweet. and i felt really sorry for him when she woke up and then said oz's name. um...what else?...i loved the whole fight seen with buffy and angel, and i almost cried when she killed him, even though i knew it was gonna happen, and that he would be back anyway. oh, and also, when the mom found out buffy was the slayer, and they were arguing about buffy going out, because she was having trouble handling the whole thing, that was sad too. i think when her mom told her if she left she couldnt come back, she was just caught up in the emotion and hoping that buffy would just listen to her and stay. and i was sad when she found that note on the bed, and she realized that buffy wasnt going to listen and was actually not coming back. it must be terrible for a mother's daughter to leave her :(. there was no wondering for me about buffy leaving, because i knew what would happen next. finally, i liked how spike allied himself with buffy, and i like his little "happy meals with legs" thing. and it was funny when they go to her house, and try to pretend that spike is a drummer and she is in a band to cover up with her mom. i also like the short part when buffy is in the kitchen, and spike is talking to buffy's mom, because i always thought they had an interesting dynamic together (like in lover's walk and when they watch passions). he's evil and a vampire, but still she treats him just like a normal guy, as he points out later when she dies. all in all, i liked this episode! :D it was very sad, and also very good, and the beginning of so many things...*insert dramatic music*!

EDIT: whoa! i didnt realize i wrote nearly that much! ...whoa! :looking:

OK I can only think of one word to describe this ep so it's not much of a contribution to the discussion lol but the magic word is "heartbreaking." as you all probably know why. Although I've got to admit I love the flash back to Buffy's superficial days.

Excellent episodes! Haven't watched them in a while, but there have everything in them. Great storyline and Drama, and some really hilarious lines, Spike Line about his friends not having a big rock, is so funny!!

Loved the history about Angel, especially the how he created Drusilla. The fight scene with him and Buffy was excellent, especially the "Take that all away, what’s left?" Buffy: "Me" and she catches the sword - Brilliant!

Drusilla killing Kendra was excellent, I really liked her character, but the scene was so good. Plus again it lead to that amazing scene where Buffy ran down the hall and it goes into slow motion, that was so cool.

Whistler was an excellent character, I wish we could have seen more of him. Also loved that this was the star of Willow magic storyline, seeing her go all super willow, when she is possessed was cool. I also love that she said Oz when she woke up!

Then the scene where Buffy sends Angel to Hell, was just brilliant. The music and the acting was flawless, made it one of the saddest scenes of Buffy. Plus huge cliff-hanger ending for the season, that left you feeling depressed.
