Was Amber Benson in Urban Legend, or was she in some other dire horror film I'm getting mixed up with as its early in the morning?
Wasn't Charisma Carpenter offered a part in The Faculty (as I'm sure theres a character called Coredlia who is pretty similar) or again, am I muddled?

Roles turned down by Charisma Carpenter:
The Faculty
The part of Delilah Profitt was written for her, but she turned it down.
Actor who got the part: Jordana Brewster
Scream 3
Charisma Carpenter was considered for the part of Christine Hamilton.
Actor who got the part: Kelly Rutherford
As far as I know Amber Benson wasn't in Urban Legend, unless she ran through the background at some point, or something.

Charisma Carpenter would have been great in The Faculty! I heard about the Scream thing before though and she would have been great in that too.

Concerning X Men, there's worse than SMG as Rogue even. Try Keanu Reeves as Wolverine. :freak:

Edit
Hey, Claire Daines got 2 parts SMG was considered for. Maybe Claire could be the next Buffy. ;)

Wow, she turned down some pretty good stuff.
I decided I'd have a shot at some other Buffy characters and here's what I found for David Boreanaz.
Batman Begins
David Boreanaz turned down the part of Batman
Actor who got the part: Christian Bale
Superman Returns
Boreanaz was turned down for the role of Superman.
Actor who got the part: Brandon Routh
Wow. :D

Yeah I don't know about that Batman one. I was following all that pretty close. I don't remember it that way. I think the site is a wiki, which means it's just people like you and me submitting stories. Really it's just for fun.
There was a lot of David as Batman, David as Superman gossip on the net at one time though.

Ah I was thinking of Taboo (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0288243/) (told you, it was late and thats my excuse ;)). A truely dire film.

SMG for Rogue would be fearsome. I'd like to see the alternative reality for this.

All of those would have been so bad. So very, very bad!
And Taboo is an amazing film! :p

Seeing SMG as Cher in clueless would have been an interesting oddity. It's not on the list, but what about Legally Blond? I wonder what SMG would have been like in that one.

Another Apocalypse?

No. Noone but Anna Paquin could be Rogue. Sarah Michelle Gellar was too old for that part anyway. Rogue was just a kid.

I am glad she didn't do the role of Cher for "Clueless." I think that would have runined her rep. because to me "Clueless" is one of the worst movies anybody could have ever done. It was just so blah. If that was the first Sarah Michelle Gellar movie that I have ever seen then I would have not watched any of her other movies because I would have thought they would be blah and stupid considering that that movie was blah and stupid.
I don't know about "The Faculty" because I have never even heard or seen the movie.
Why did she turn the role down for Julie in "I Know What You Did Last Summer?" She would have made more money for her role and she would be able to work with Freddie more. I know they weren't married then but if they were I bet she would have taken it. Besides I would have liked for her to be in "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer." But I am glad she took the role of Helen because she played her really well.
I don't know about "The In Crowd" because I have never seen or heard of that movie.
I don't know about "The Mobe Squad" because I have never heard of or seen that movie.
I know she had to turn down the role of "Romeo and Juliet" because of "All My Children." I think she would have made a wonderful Juliet. Of course I have not seen the whole movie. I have seen like the first half. I heard it was really long.
I am so glad she couldn't do "Urban Legend" because that was a horrible movie. It would have ruined her rep. The acting was horrible and the storyline was really bad to me.
I don't know about "Who is Cletis Tout" because I have never even heard or seen the movie.
Why did she turn down the role of Rogue in "X-Men?" She would have made a lot of money considering those "X-Men" movies are really popular and famous. I think she would have made a great Rogue.
I don't know about "The Faculty" because I have never even heard or seen the movie.
how can anyone not know about this movie? 'The Faculty' is one of my all time fave movies!! if any of you haven't seen this, i suggest you get down to the video store RIGHT NOW!

i think the guys above are right...i don't think i could have sat through the X-Men movies is SMG played Rogue. she was WAY too old to play the character. Rogue was just a teenager, and, at the time the first film was made, SMG was already in her 20's...i'm no idea how old Anna is, but i'm guessing she's younger than SMG.

Wow, I bet Claire Danes is glad that Sarah turned down so many parts. She stepped into two of them!
As for Rogue, whilst the Rogue of the movies is a young girl the Rogue in the actual books is more around Sarah's age (a little younger but not so much that Sarah couldn't pass for it) so she would probably have been a more accurate choice if you go off the source material.
Adrian Paul (of Highlander fame) once said that he had been in talks to play the role of Gambit in the original movie but a later rewrite removed the character entirely. A shame because I always liked Gambit.

Actually Josh Holloway was asked to play Gambit but he thought the character was too much like Sawyer so said no. So they didnt put Gambit in the film. (Although that was the third film)

I can't believe she turned down Clueless, and Romeo and Juliet, even though I can't imagine SMG in either of those roles.. I LOVE Alicia Sileverstone and Claire Danes.

There's a third film to add to the list of movies that SMG turned down and Claire Danes got...Stardust.

Fantastic Four
It was between Boreanaz and Michael Chiklis for the role of "The Thing." Chiklis won the role due to the height difference and Boreanaz' lack of wanting to be covered in make up for 90% of the movie.
Actor who got the part: Michael Chiklis
Thatīs funny xD
And about SMG... there are thing actors do taht I canīt understand... like turning down a role to do nothing o.O I mean, itīs their job..

I agree i don't think she would have made a good rouge. But it's her loss, i think some of those films were great (clueless,I Know What You Did Last Summer,Romeo + Juliet and x-men) I'm kind of glad she tuned down i couldn't really see her in any of them! and Clare Danes is a great actress for the roles she got instead of Sarah.

Wow, thanks for sharing that link! That was interesting... A lot of them I am glad she turned down 'cause now I can't imagine anyone else but the actresses who played those roles in the part (Alicia Silverstone, Jennifer Love Hewitt), but WOW I bet Claire Danes is happy she did. LOL
The only one I really wish she had of done was "Where The Heart Is". I loved Natalie Portman in that role, but I also think Sarah would have done really well in it, too.

LOL I couldn't stand "Romeo and Juliet".... I thought the concept to bring it into modern times was cool, but I can't handle the Shakespearian English. Bah.
