No doubt, Neil Patrick Harris is a talented comedian but the story got too silly. What kind of guy would pile all that grief on a friend when he was hurting?

I have to say, in that scene toward the end where Lily finally meets Marshall and asks him to take her back I kept thinking of the scene between Willow and Oz in front of his locker in "The Wish". He may have said no but Marshall will take her back, I imagine, before too long.

I'm glad that Alyson was in this ep a lot more than the last one, and that scene with her and Marshall made me think of Willow too, the way her eyes teared up and started sobbing in her very own way.. and her hair really was adoreable.

aly never fails to make me cry along with her! i, too, am glad glad she did more in this episode than the other. i hope she and marshall get back together eventually! i thought that what marshall had her do at the end was funny. oh, and was it just me, or was it kind of obvious that lily was unhappy? was it supposed to be? couldnt you kind of tell in the scene where she was explaining how her art class went that it didnt really go that way?

EDIT: and also, i agree with joamna about the hair thing! it was adorable.

Aly was very very pretty, I couldn't stop thinking about that, don't think I've ever seen her that pretty before actually. And – again – the hair is adorable, I would have reaction just like Robin.

Ok, wasn't the best episode ever, but I loved having Aly back, of course – and I loved her in this episode (not just cause of the prettiness).. And I do understand Marshall trying to be strong and think logically about this, not taking Lilly back – but his arguments for not doing so didn't make too much sense. I mean, they did to him, and I get it, but that's not a reason to not be with someone you love.. And obviously he'll realise that sooner or later..

I don't know - Marshall was very, very hurt still. The dumping wasn't something he could just put behind him in a heartbeat.

I liked how Robin picked up right away on what Lily's summer was really like out in San Francisco, saw through Lily's facade right away. Ted on the other hand was taken in by it. Robin's being another woman outweighed Ted's having known her for a decade, lol.

Yeah I mean I understand him completely. It's just. Yeah. I think deep down he doesn't believe in what he said, or yeah, he's fooling himself, cause obviously they should be together :)

Hm, Ted was the one who got it though, while Robin believed Lily's story, heh.. So basically it was the opposite of what you said, lol.. :)

But I still understand him, hm, I mean I definitely think he loves her and want her back, but he might need a bit of time to figure stuff out on his own like he said. So it might just not be the best time for them right now, eh..

??? Who won the Robin-Ted bet? Well sorry if I'm confused.

On a realistic level, it would be more grave than a ordinary breakup of a relationship if the Lily-Marshall thing happened in real life. Lily broke off the engagement, gave him back the ring! There's a lot of humiliation there, particularly if he had to try to explain it all to his family.

But as I posted earlier, I suspect the two will be back together before too long.

Ted did. Don't you remember when Ted first met Lily, he was like "yay she's miserable!" and Robin was like "no she's happy!"..?

Well, moving on, this brings up the question - whither Robin and Ted? I wonder how long the show is going to keep them together. Also if it will allow two couples to exist at the same time within the group of five, which would kind of leave Barney as odd man out. Speaking of Barney, he is getting his own "romantic" (haha) storyline later this month. I put the link in the Episode 2.06 Spoiler thread.

Fun to hear but please only write spoilers in the spoiler threads, or spoiler mark it, ok? (I am one of those who prefers to not know what is going to happen :) )

About Robin and Ted.. Doubt they'll be together for that long, but now they have that soulmate-y thing going – Ted has liked her since the beginning – so even though they're not a Bangel couple (for those who love that thing), it'll be hard to make Ted completely over Robin..

Well, my apologies, again. I did try to keep out any real content, and put the info into the spoiler thread. Besides, is there anything really surprising about Barney having a (haha) "romantic" story? ;) But sorry.

I wouldn't be surprised if Victoria came back into Ted's life at some point.
