As a Dresden Files fan and a James fan, I'm really excited that James is narrating and recording the 4th book, Summer Knight, this week. :D SK, by author Jim Butcher, is still a favorite of many fans, and the added buzz of the upcoming SciFi channel's tv series based on the book series adds to the excitement. (The current plan is for the series to begin airing in January.) The SK audio book is supposed to be available by January also, so there's much to look forward to.

BTW, if you haven't seen it yet, Jim Butcher did an video interview at a recent con, and it's available on youtube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DbsSGiGCmw

The sound is a little difficult to hear at times because it was very noisy at the table in the dealers' room where the interview was done. One of the Buzzy Mulitmedia owners (Buzzy is the company that produces the audio books) says that they'll have a 'higher quality' version of it on their site at a later date. If you haven't heard or seen Jim in an interview before, it's worth it, IMO. :)

Also, if you don't have them yet, the first 3 chapters of Storm Front, Fool Moon and Grave Peril are already on the teeswithatwist site! :D

Chapter 2 of Summer Knight is up for free download now. :D
http://tinyurl.com/y67pfe (That's a shorter link that the publisher sent since the url to where they have it uploaded is so long.) At least being able to listen to these sample chapters is making the wait for the audio book a little easier. :)

If you haven't listened to them yet, the Buzzy ladies sent 4 bloopers from the recording of the Summer Knight audiobook to James Marsters' official site, which they've uploaded. You can find them at: http://www.jamesmarsters.com/james/summerknight.html
Please Note: They do say that Blooper #2 has a "Brief expletive" that "may offend some listeners", so beware. :)

I loved hearing a bit of the process of how he decides what accents to use, how he repeats 'takes', asks for input, etc. That sure is one talented man (reading a fantastic book, I might add). ;) It won't be long now before the audiobook is ready to ship since they are saying April. :D

I'm late commenting, but the free download of Chapter 13 on the Buzzy site is a hoot! I can't imagine what James thought of having to do all of those fairy voices, lol; there were quite a few.
(All three of the free chapters for download from SK are on the Buzzy site at http://www.buzzymultimedia.com/summer-knight-audiobook-by-jim-butcher.html and also on their mirror site, www.teeswithatwist.com)
