That movie is definitely one of my favourite! I know all the lines! the soundtracks are fantastic and the actors did an excellent job! I loved SMG as a b*tch!:D
I saw the first one and the one with kerr smith? is it the second or the third?

Third with Kerr Smith.
I also have all 3. Love them all. Especially the 3rd one right now. Think Ive seen the first one too often.

I don't really like the 2nd and 3rd movies as much... the first is the best. SMG and Ryan Phillippe aren't in them...
I watched it on TV (it wasn't my first time to see it, of course) a few weeks ago and it was kinda disappointing because they cut *so* many scenes and edited so many words... I mean, they can't even say "eat me" on TV. Pfft. So after I watched it I had to get out my DVD and watch it again. Much better.
Maybe I'm just sick.

CI is such a good movie, I think it has one of the best movie moments, when the people start leaving the church and Katherine storms out after them and the music start - It's just so good!!

The end is definetly a great part... it's sad, I dunno if I feel bad for Katherine or not. I love the song that plays, Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve), it's really pretty.
My second favorite part (next to the end) would be the SMG/Selma Blair kissing scene. It's perfect... I remember in 2000 when that scene won the Best Kiss in the MTV movie awards... I was like...
"...........oh..........."
It was before I had seen the movie, of course...

Yes, lovely, lovely smutty SMG.
I love the "You can put it anywhere" part. LOVED IT.

Oh, yes MP. It's so funny how Sebastian just changes his mind and says "You've got yourself a deal!" when Katherine tells him that. CI has so many awesome scenes...

I'm gonna have to buy CI sometime this week I've only seen it once and that was ages ago! I loved it though, I thought the plot was fantastic and SMG, Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon were all amazing. It's one of my favourite films. The end scene is my favourite too, great song.

I thought Ryan Phillipe and Sarah MIchelle Gellar would have made a great real life couple.
Yeah, I did too. They have great chemestry in I Know What You Did Last Summer as well. I thought it was a shame that Ryan and Reece were a couple when filming CI.
I love the film. I think I read somewhere ages ago that SMG took the role because she didn't want to be stero-typed into her 'Buffy' character. She did a really good job of showing she could play a character completely different to Buffy.
I don't like that it wasn't a happy ending for Sebastian, but I suppose that's the way it had to go :)
Its a really good film!!
Buffy Summers

Well it is based on a book, so I guess they couldn't really change it...but I like the ending :) It's very weird to walk past that stretch of road in Central Park cause I always think of that scene lol

I love the film as well, but I have to say that I was completely unaware that they had made TWO sequals! How is that possible?! They must be dire?
Anyway, I loved Dangerous Liasons with Glenn Close and John Malkovich as well; this is just such an epic lovestory/tragedy...

Saw the Korean version of Dangerous Liasons the other day (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0380689/), was kinda good but honestly I liked Cruel Intention better, heh :)

I LOVE cruel intentions!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The GREATEST movie of all time! And Sarah's performance is awesome. I love to see a different side of her and this movie definitely did just that. And yes that sounded like a movie review which is kinda cool! Maybe I should apply for a job?!

I bought CI finally! I was so pleased that I got it on dvd for £2.99 :D I haven't watched it in a while though so I'll probably watch it sometime this week. I adore Sarah in this movie, she looks stunning and her performance was fab and she played a totally different character than Buffy which was good to see. I really want to see the other 2 CI'S but I think it might spoil the first movie a little for me, I'm weird that way.

I saw it. I loved it, but mostly because of SMG. She was so hot in it. Lol.

It's deffinately one of my favorite movies. And seeing the dark side of SMG...was deffinately mindboggling. She was great and you still loved her character even though she was evil. Just cause it's SMG>...keehee:whistle:

I really love this movie. I just bought again and can't believe I sold my copy. Anyways, do you guys think that Sebastian and Kathryn loved each other? Here's two examples that they might of:
1. Kathryn talks to Sebastian about his relationshop with Annette.
"Do you love me anymore?"
2. When Sebastian dumps Annette.
" You know nothing. You don't even know me!The fact of the matter is, there is someone I love. You don't even compare to her!"

Seriously, dont get me started on Cruel Intentions 2. or actually, please do..i loooaaathe this movie with a passion. It is a joke compared to Cruel Intentions 1 with fabulous Sarah, Ryan and Reese. I love love love that movie so much. Its my favourite of all time. Then I saw number two (only because it was on TV that one night and i couldn't resist). It was the most awful thing I've ever seen (apart from maybe one or two other movies as well). the two actors who were SUPPOSED to be Kathryn and Sebastian were not nearly as hot or seductive or believable. They stole entire lines from the first movie!
Ok, done ranting now :lmao:
I just adored Sarah in this film. I think after seeing this I really fell in love with her. Buffy did its job but CI only encouraged me to keep watching it. I've probably seen Cruel Intentions about 50 times. Possibly more lol (you can tell I'm just slightly obsessed with it ;) )
SMG was great in this movie. The kissed bet. SMG & Selma cracks me up!

Has anyone else noticed that in Cruel Intentions when SMG says "You're my best friend" to Selma Hayeks (or whatever her name is) character it's the exact same way that she says it to Willow when they're breaking into the initiative? It really bugs me.

Yep I'm another one who loves this movie! Entertainment value or what! lol I loved SMG and Ryan Phillipe and it is one of my all time faves!
The second movie was stupid, the first time I saw it I thought it was a rip off or Cruel Intentions (like date movie or scary movie or something along those lines) The only reason I kept watching it was cos it had Eve and cousin Beth in it hehe. I hated the horse riding scene cos the boys at school used to always go on about it and I'm a rider.
The third one wasn't so bad, I haven't seen it for a while though.
I think I have owned the first one on DVD a few times but it always seems to go suspiciously missing :p
I loved this movie unrestrainedly, except for one humungous flaw. I couldn't stand Reese Witherspoon's performance.

This movie is one of my guilty pleasures. I say "guilty" because my hubby thinks it's stupid and smutty, and it makes me feel like he thinks less of me for watching/enjoying it. For some reason I care what he thinks of me . . . go figure.

Oh I love that movie. And not only because of SMG. Seriously. When I watched it for the first time I wasn't even that much into Buffy.
Maybe I should read that book it's based on some time.

This movie was my favorite at the time. I just loved the chemistry between Sarah and Ryan Phillippe. She definitely showed that she can play a bitch when she wants to and does it very good as well. My favorite part is the end when she gets what she deserves, you got to love the Verve's song. :)

I've seen this movie once, and while I agree that Sarah did a great job of portraying the total bitch who everyone believed was a little angel, it's not really the type of movie that I care for. I just wish that she could have as memorable a role/movie where she portrayed a more likable character.

I think I'll have to watch it again soon because I forget how good it really is. This is easily one of my favourite performances from Sarah, after Buffy of course. She played Katherine perfectly and the chemistry between her and Ryan was just hot. I think in some weird way she loved Sebastian but just wasn't willing to let him know that. Actually I think she liked knowing that he'd do anything to have her but that all changed once he fell for Annette. Katherine lost control over the situation and she didn't like that. The ending scene was just the perfect ending, the song was a great choice. It was good to see Katherine get caught but I still kinda felt bad for her in a small way.

I thought she portrayed someone VERY different from her usual characters and Cruel Intentions was a very popular movie at the time and Sarah is known more for this movie than any other to be honest. Correct me if I am wrong. :)
I love this movie. Reese Witherspoon spoilt it considerably, however..

I watched CI this morning at 4.30 when I couldn't sleep - I thought it was brilliant.
Is brunette S.M.G.'s real hair colour? Coz if it is, I'm in lust.. er I mean love. ;) She's just a tease and a bitch in this.. so very, very different from the Buffster... very well done and put together movie.

^ I believe she is naturally brown-haired; she apparently dyed it blonde to be the California-valley-girl chick for Buffy.

Really? I always thought she was natural blond.

But that color in the movie was not here natural hair colour, was it? It looked very dyed imo.

Wow! Now there's a thing.. Sarah shares her birthday with my sister.. who was born 14th April, 1975... and 2 days before me.. April 16th, 1967.
From the looks of that pic Blondie she really is a brunette.. SWOON!!!
Blondie Bear
08-12-2008, 04:14 PM
I think she looks good no matter what hair color she has. :) She's one of those lucky people who pulls off just about any shade. (Unlike someone like Lindsey Lohan who looks AWFUL with blonde hair.)

Yep that's true too.. besides I don't really care too much for Miss Lohan.. not my type if you understand my meaning.

Yep SMG is one of those original brunettes. And I am glad that she was against keeping the blonde for CI like they wanted her to. Brunette just makes her sound/look so much more evil.

Just saw it = waaay too late. Very good movie actually, wow SMG is really so cold in it, I really liked her the most. And the music at the end Bittersweet Symphony, greaaaaat!

I think SMG looks better as a blonde, but I like her character in Cruel Intentions, one of her best movies in my opinion.
