Nathan has begun filming a guest spot on Lost, at least two episodes. He will play someone very close to Kate, married I think.

You should give a source with this information, and if your gonna say what the character will be doing in the series, it should be spoiler taged!

Exciting and exclusive casting scoop!!
Sources confirm to me that Nathan Fillion (Buffy, Firefly) has been cast on Lost! He starts filming the show next week in Hawaii, and will guest star in at least two episodes this season, from what I hear.
If you want to know *WHO* he's playing, keep reading ....

Wtf? Is this another MSN thing?
I'm not aware of it being on MSN but it has started in the US on tv.
And excellent news on Nathan :D Can't wait to see some more of him!

I think if you're American you may be able to stream previously aired eps to your PC from ABC.com. Non-Americans are barred from their download page though, so I can't double-check.
Here's some warped logic to consider. If they don't care enough of about non-Amercans to make services available to them, why would they care if we availed ourselves of those services...uh...elsewhere. Why would we non-Amercans care if they cared?

Well if non Americans watched it online then they sold the show to say UK tv companies, chances are the ratings would be lower as many will have watched it online, ergo they are not really making any money.
Its all about money imo! I get an ABC channel here in the UK so why am I not entitled to it? Probably not really a topic for this thread.
On Nate, shame its not more than two eps :(

I'm just wondering about something else now. What's the tally on what they call FoJWs (friends of Joss Whedon) to Lost now. With Caleb/Mal we've got Holland Manners, and Gavin on the island or in the verse. David Fury, and Drew Goddard have written scripts.
I'm thinking the addition of Fillion might move Lost into the FoJW lead.
don't forget about Sawyer in that FoJW list...he played a vampire in 'City of...' not a big part, i know, but there ya have it.

That actually sounds quite interesting I can't wait to see what Nathan's characeter is like especially if he's married to Kate because I can't imagine that unless he's really interesting or something.

A spoiler-ific website has a little more information on Mr. Fillion's appearance on the show, based on a fan sighting of the Lost film crew. Lots of spoilers for other Lost eps, too.

That was such a disappointing episode that I'm still pissed that I had bothered to watch.

And now, after that 6 ep stand we have to wait until February to see the rest.
It kind of reminds me of that old story where two women have a meal at a restaurant.
One says to the other, "That meal was awful."
Here friend replies, "Yes, and so little of it".

It was kind of a nothing role for him. I'm used to personality, great one-liners with his Whedonverse TV work.

Yeah. He pretty much did what was required of him, but that wasn't much.

Yeah his appearance was a bit, weird, hm, didn't really get the point of the whole thing.. but I did like parts of the episode, heh.

I liked seeing him, but I agree with the people above, it was weird and he can be much more interesting. Still liked the episode though.

Well, at least it made the show a bit more exciting, seeing an actor that I can associate with the buffyverse. Normally I hate Lost, but watch it anyway, considering I've watched it from eppy one and just watch it out of habit, I suppose. At least there was an interesting element of watching Nathan instead of yelling "I hate this show" at the tv.

Maybe he'll be back. The story with his character wasnt really resolved and you know peoples stories have a habit f tying in with other peoples stories. Its possible he's interacted with one of the other characters. Like sawyer maybe. He was a cop after all.
What happened to good TV?

The episode just aired yesterday in the UK.
I thought Nathan was pretty good. I do hope he returns in flashbacks, but how cool would it be if he showed up on the island! That'd be neat. His character needs to be explored more. I think theres more to his story!

Even if they did want to bring the character back, would Nathan have time to do the part, now that he's playing the main character in the upcoming series Drive?
Drive is Fox though, and it will be a cool series with Fillion and Tim Minear both involved, so going by past Fox performance they'll cancel it pretty quick, because that's what they do - cancel cool shows. So maybe there will be a return of the character on Lost.
