Yahoo TV lists Tom Lenk as guest-starring in tonight's episode of HIMYM along with Morena Baccarin.

Morena Baccarin had a fairly good sized guest role on last night's episode. She was Marshall's date, which in the end was the device to get him and Lily back together. Seven episodes into Season 2 - that didn't take too long. Alyson Hannigan aka Lily was funny in her masquerade as a hunchbacked homeless man "stalking" Marshall's new "girlfriend".

I didn't even recognize Tom Lenk as the guy behind the counter until he spoke up. He hardly spoke at all in the episode, but the "truck-driving magic mama" voice is unmistakable. He looked older than he did in his last appearance on Angel.

It also made me start thinking that one Buffyverse actor who could really make a good appearance on this show is Emma Caulfield. I think she and Tom Lenk were great together in the final episodes of Buffy. And if they could make guest appearances together... well Anya and Andrew together again would be great!

yay!!!! :heart: i mean, yeah, it was kind of soon. but im not gonna be unhappy about them being back together, though it couldve been done in a better fashion. and who knows, maybe they'll break up again and get a second chance to get back together...:p

Well Lily and Marshall may be back together, it doesn't mean they will get engaged again, at least not right away. Remembering how they got engaged in the series opener - that situation put time pressure on the relationship, because they presumably had to get married at some point, and I was wondering if the show was actually going to go that way. If they are an unengaged couple, that gives more plot flexibility.

Funny but I wasn't expecting to see Tom Lenk in the episode. I was pleasantly startled when I recognized him!

This is weird. I remember the episode, but for some reason I don't remember seeing Tom Lenk! I'm like 99.7% sure I would have recognized him. I must just be drawing a blank on that one. Don't suppose anybody out there has some screen caps....
