Angel comes face-to-face with Gunn's old demon-hunting crew who at one time considered Gunn a hero, but now view him as a traitor and want to see Angel dead.

omg what an excellent episode!
The whole way though I wanted someone to beat the crap out of that guy who wouldn't stop having a go at Gunn. The furies were funny (mmmm Angel :D) and I loved Fred's version of Crazy.
Merl's dead :( I can't believed they killed Merl off (he was like Angel's equivalent to willie the snitch) and for a sec there I thought that Fred was gonna betray Angel (her speech of what would happen if she shot that guy was really funny... she wasn't trying to be snooty :)
What did everyone else think of this episode?

I absolutely loved this episode and it was much better than the buffy one this week. I love the whole gang storyline, it good to see Gunn getting some focus. I was so glued to the screen and thats a rarity with me watching angel. Fred is so funny as well, I think her character is really going to enhance the show. It was a change to see guns used instead of stakes for once as well :)
Defnitely one of my favourite episodes of angel.

The one thing I liked about this episode was Fred. It is the first episode this season I have disliked in anyway but thats primarily due to its focus on Gunn who I am not a fan of ;) More Fred eps please :D

I agree with Neptune here, although I do usually prefer Angel to Buffy now. I couldn't believe how much Fred has developed - I think it shows how much she trusts Angel, that she plucked up the courage to do that, taking the crossbow. Shame she was still quite nervous about it - she'll go on to be quite the asset if she can react like that - not two faced, but able to act well. I just wish that Angel and Gunn could be reconciled - it was Wesley and Cordy who didn't like Gunn at first, but Angel and Gunn are both such strong leader figures that neither will accept the other. I want them to be back on their initially friendly terms by the end of the season
