11/13 - Episode 2.12 - How Lily Stole Christmas: It's Christmas-time and Ted and Lily are arguing while Robin helps Barney, who is battling a horrible cold, get through Christmas. Ted visits his very religious sister and her children, who doesn't celebrate Christmas, and gets in trouble when he gives them secret Christmas presents for the first time in their lives and accidentally teaches her 7-year-old a very very naughty word.

I was rather startled to see Harry Groener aka Mayor Richard Wilkins III drop into this episode for one scene. He was playing Ted's mom's boyfriend Clint. He looked older than he did in Buffy - he had a beard and there was gray in it. But hey, time passes.

He was wearing a beard. He played Ted's mother's boyfriend. The last we see of him he takes the phone from Ted's mother to talk to Ted. Ted walks away hanging up the phone. I suspect he'll be back.

yeah, i was so happy when i saw HG. i was like 'yay, buffy people!'. and i also know the mom from something else i cant remember, but anyway, the point is that i recognized her too, and so i was double happy! :) :cheering:

Incidentally, I believe this was the 11th episode of Season 2, not the 12th. From the episode guides on the tv.com and tvguide.com sites I gather that the titles and air dates are:

I think some of the titles got changed along the way, like "Swarley" may have been originally listed on some preview and spoiler sites as "Crazy Eyes". Rather confusing.
