The Crow Wicked Prayer had David Boreanaz in his one of the main characters and his the bad guy in it. Towards the end of the film is goes mad and it reminds me of angelus! what do you guys think of it?

overall i thought it was great! but it wasnt my fav crow film, still a good watch though.. i love it how they put the 'bad' characters into like... War....Famine.. Death.. and was it Pestilence?

I still have not watched this movie.
After reading/hearing all the unfavorable reviews given to this flick, I'm sort of afraid to. :p
I was wanting to watch this movie (which I often referred to as "The Crow 4: Angelus 2.0") just to check out David Boreanaz's performance. Perhaps one day when I'm bored I'll decide to finally check it out and see what it's all about.
On a different note, I really wish they would just let this so-called "franchise" die. While I do respect the fact that a lot of peeps actually like the sequels, I always thought the sequels were completely unneccesary, and a spit in the eye to Brandon Lee's (RIP) brilliant performance in the original. Ok, rant over. :p
Just a question, though. Why do subsequent "Crow" incarnations always use that "mask of irony" on their faces? That mask was something very specific to the original Eric Draven character, and would have no significance to these other Crows. I never understood that. Ah, well.
Anyhoo...Brandon Lee's Crow is the ONLY Crow flick for me. :: tu ::

I thought it was funny as F** I loved teh funny BUffy reference ok itn was a little smutty but still.
DB was very funny infact he was soo ott bad ass that you could not help but laugh.
I thought Angelus was very much imitated.
OM you may want to hire it out on dvd, i wouldn't buy it, i have it on a download, i didn't pay a thing.
It would of been a better film if it wasn't a crow franchise.

I'll take up the ranting where you left off ;)
I refuse to watch this movie because each time I watch anything to do with The Crow that is not the original it just infuriates me. As far as i'm concerned there is only one Crow movie and that is the original. The second one 'City of Angels' while I get that Ash is a different character and this follows in with the graphic novels, Eric was just the beginning. The movie was just weak and []didn't grasp you like the first.
The third 'Stairway to Heaven' and that awful tv show.....this is the one I switched off half way through because it was such an insult to the character that Brandon made his own. They re-told the original Eric and Shelly story with B movie actors and changed the storyline, there was no need no need at all. So glad the tv show got cancelled, it was bland.
Just a question, though. Why do subsequent "Crow" incarnations always use that "mask of irony" on their faces? That mask was something very specific to the original Eric Draven character, and would have no significance to these other Crows. I never understood that. Ah, well.
I never got round to reading the rest of the graphic novels I have them sitting here and on the covers they do have 'the mask' so whether the movie is just picking up on what O'Barr started I don't know. But you can't see it being linked to anything. It was a long long time ago I saw City of Angels, but didn't Sarah draw the face on Ash? I'm not 100% sure but if she did she will have given him that because that is how she saw Eric.
Anyhoo...Brandon Lee's Crow is the ONLY Crow flick for me. :: tu ::
In summary, I agree, give it up, let it go and stop making it worse! Normally I do give things a try but with the previous history and the fact that The Crow is my fave movie i'm not touching them anymore with a barge pole.

I'll never watch it, mostly because the typical straight to DVD horror flick is completely unbearable. If Eliza was in...I'd give it a shot. ;)

I haven't seen it, the only one I have seen, and most likely, ever will see is the first one. I just can't bring myself to watch any of the sequels.

Agreed!

The original with Brandon Lee was by far the best. The others were only pale shadows. The irony of Brandon's death is that he had a choice between playing that part, or his father in "Dragon," and he chose "The Crow" because he didn't want to be considered just a martial arts actor like Bruce.
I've heard of the first movie but I haven't watched any of them. I also heard what happened to Brandon Lee on the set of the movie (very sad story) and then I read what happened to Bruce Lee when he was at his hotel resting before he died (again...very sad).
Does anyone recommend the first movie? Or should I just not watch any of them?

Jone, the first 'The Crow' is the ONLY one worth watching. It rocks.

About to watch it. Just to know what it's like. Though, I don't expect much from this movie.
