We have finally cleaned up the virtual BB theatre after last year's Awards ceremony...so now it's nearly time for you guys to start nominating for this year's awards.

Very soon I will be inviting nominations from you for your favourite moments from Buffy Boards 2006. What was your fave fic? Who was the coolest or most helpful BB-er? What was the funniest post/thread? Who was the bestest RPG-er? Who made the best BB art? All these questions...and some others...can be answered some time soon...watch this space...

Storyteller - best BB fanfic posted (or completed)in 2006
Sunnydale Art Gallery - best BB fan artist of 2006
L'il Pumpkin Belly - cutest member or post from 2006 (mods are excluded from this category)
Xander/Anya - funniest LOL BB moment from 2006 - thread or post
Doyle - most missed member (banned members are excluded from this category)
Class Protector - most helpful/supportive member (mods are excluded from this category)
Faith - coolest member (mods are excluded from this category)
Giles - biggest Buffy/Angel expert,clever-clogs, know-it-all (mods are excluded from this category)
Andrew - best RPG "actor" or "actress" in 2006

Please PM your nominations to me before midnight (GMT) on Tuesday 22nd January. I will not accept any received after then btw.

Please nominate just one member per category and please don't nominate yourself (that's just sad and more than a little embarassing). Don't feel obliged to nominate someone in every category just for the sake of it...if you can't think of anyone or that particular category just doesn't interest you no-one is going to be offended if you miss it out :)

Please include a link to the post/thread which is appropriate to your nomination for fanfic, artwork and funniest post/thread if you can - this will be helpful to me, should I need to create a shortlist of nominees if there are too many to run a poll.

If you have any questions please post them in this thread, which I will monitor - rather than tie up valuable nominating space in my PM inbox :)

Once the nominations have closed I will post a poll for each category, which will run for a couple of weeks where members will be able to vote for their faves.

When the polls have closed, I will compile the results and they will be announced at the awards ceremony. I am hoping that we can hold the ceremony round about mid-February and it will follow roughly the same format as last year.

All being well, VG has agreed to bring back his red carpet interviews...with a little help from a friend ;) As for the main ceremony, once again I will be your host (all being well again ;)) and edb has agreed to help me out. I'm hoping that I can also persuade some of the other mods and former BB legends to pop in and help out...

if you'd like to have a vote on those. As I've said before, you don't have to vote in all the categories if they don't all interest you or you haven't been around long enough to work out who's cool or helpful or whatever...but stories and art, if it was posted or completed in 2006, you're as entitled as any other member to nominate and vote...honestly, if you would like to nominate in every category, I'm not going to argue (but I would prefer properly considered noms) :)

Monthly awards might well contribute to this ageing mod's coronary...annual ones will do for now, as far as I'm concerned ;)

Just to confirm what CS posted (thanks hun :)), no member is excluded from making nominations or voting. The only exclusions that do apply are that mods are not allowed to be nominated for some of the awards that we would like to see go to the "normal" ;) members...to see who the mods are, click on the "forum leaders" link on the BB homepage...
