Week 9: The Puppet Show

Continuing our 'weekly' discussion of the fabulous Buffy series...time to move onto the ninth episode of the first season.

I think my favorite part of this episode is the end credits, where you see them 'acting'. It's awful!

OMG, Xanderis SO funny in this ep. i don't even know why, but he always makes me laugh so much when i watch The Puppet Show! lol, i love the part where Xander's sistting at the table studying and Sid's on a chair beside him, and Xander turns Sid's head the other way and says 'That looks more comfortable' and then, when he realizes Sid's gone, he lets out that big scream and jumps up onto the chair! and then he tries to act all casual when Giles and Willow comerunning out! i love it.
i admit, this isn't a great ep compared to Angel, Out of Mind out of sight, or Prophecy Girl, but it has it's moments.

this episode, like lyri said, had its moments, but it wasnt the greatest. i like the whole 'red rum' thing xander did with sid :). there was a lot of comedy in this. i agree that some of the best of it was at the end when they are doing the scene. oh, and this is the introduction of snyder too, right? thats another thing. also, i was not able to predict who the real bad guy was, and that is a pretty good quality for an ep. i remember that once, when i hadnt seen this for a year, i got really confused and couldnt remember who was the bad guy and how sid fit into it, and it just seemed very new to me all over again. still...i feel there are many better episodes. for one thing, it didnt have the strongest or most interesting plot, even though i couldnt figure out who the bad guy was. and...i dont know...it was ok, but i just didnt really like it (as ive said for about the third time :p)

This is probably one of the only early episodes, that actually freaked me out! The best bit, I agree with SpikedBuffy, the end credits were hilarious.

oh I absolutely LOVED this episode! my fave part is when Xander has sid on and is talking to buffy. My fave line has to be "Sid...is wood!" i really don't know why that bit cracks me up but it does!

I also liked how everyone assumed who the bad guy was and was always wrong :lmao:

I was dissapointed in a way to find out Sid was good after all the build up, on the otherhand, it kinda made a change. (:
