Hey all, haven't started a thread here yet. I :love2: Wesley, but I didn't see this kind of thread anywhere so I thought Id poll to see which Wesley is the most loved.

I love all the Wesley's :p But I enjoy the Rouge Demon Hunter for laughs in season 1 of Angel. :lmao:

I hate him with a passion in Buffy and Angel season one. I like him a lot in season four though, followed by season 5.

Seasons 4 and 5 of Angel were best for him, but he was cooler in 5 w/ Fred and all. Hes a super actor and I love him to bits :D

I like all the Wesley's. His character development was pretty extreme, and Alexis Denisof is such a good actor that the character works as both as the comic relief and the sort of pessimistic, broken man seen in seasons three through five of Angel.

A difficult question. I haven't seen him in most of the mentioned seasons. He didn't make an impression on me in Buffy. It was like was he there? Hmmm...But then I watched season 5 of Angel ( because of Spike :P ) and I couldn't believe how much he has changed. He looked so scary in his despair and "going mad" over Fred's death. He was such an extreme masohist in his attempts to analize Illyria, stay distant and hate her and at the same time feel for her.

THEN I started watching season 4 of Angel and I was completely confused because it was like he was even darker there with his relationship with Lylah. I just couldn't figure him out. I still can't because I haven't seen the previous seasons...he's like a mystery :D

I checked season5 in the poll though b/c maybe that's the only season I caught most of his character.

I picked season 4 for the very simple reason of 'Spin the Bottle'...I have seen that ep a million times but I still laugh just as hard as I did the first time...

Exactly what I think too. I loved all of the Wesley's. He is so adorable and I love dorky Wes and then I also love more serious Wes.

I really liked the Wesley who began to show signs of maturing when he was dating Lilah Morgan. And I occasionally liked the dorky Wes. That's about it.

I would have said season 1 but when i watched season 1 i only watched up until doyle died because i've seen season 1 600 million times! ^_^ and then jumped to season 2 which i rarely watch and loved it! the rest he was Darker and not in a good way... in season 5 he shoots someone....::huh1:: in season 4 he stabs someone... and that's just a tiny bit he does much more darker things ^_^ haha I liked non dark wesley but still kick ass cool wesley

Oh wow... this IS a difficult choice. I fell in love with Wes when he first appeared on Buffy. I have a thing for academics-with-a-touch-o-geek and British people, and in Wes they were all combined! Then in Season 1 of Angel we have the Rogue Demon hunter, and a Wesley who is slowly changing into a deeper, more mature character... Then Wes at the end and the way he was with Fred..... *sigh*

But I agree with Keanoite - that was pure gold that Alexis produced for that ep, pure gold.

season 4 wes for me - badass, gun toteing, sexy, rejected, angry Wesley. Superb. i loved him in season 5 too.

I love all the Wesley's. He was so funny and incredibly dorky in Buffy s.3 and Angel s.1, but later on when he got a bit "darker", he also got a lot sexier. But still I love them all. :D ♥

I had to say season 5 Wesley because it was just when he got everything together finally. Rather than be one extreme of himself he seemed to, almost successfully, get a nice even balance of the sum of his parts. Dark Wesley, Sweet Wesley, Watcher Wesley, Dorky Wesley, Loveable Wesley, the list goes on and I think you got it all in season 5. Plus his sacrifice in the finale and what he went through with Fred it just showed how much he had grown from when we first saw him in Bad Girls.

I picked season 4 because of his dark side that I really like...but actually if there wasn't season 3 from Buffy I would have picked all the rest..Alexis Denisof is a great actor and Wesley 's character is really well written..do you remember in Pylea when he said that if you try to not have anybody dead you end up having everybody killed?from that episode i starter thinking really high of him....

I can't decide between season 4 and 5. I voted 4. I loved his darker side, especially in season4 when he was with Lilah.
Dorky Wes I didn't like at all most of the time (except for some funny moments)

Yes, Dorky Wes could always get a bit annoying. I mean he always tried his best, but bless, it just NEVER WORKED OUT for him then. Haha.
I remember in season 1 Angel I constantly kept thinking 'But he's just not as cool as Giles....'.
Wes did eventually cool up though.

Wesley wasn't supposed to be as cool as Giles. really, he only time we saw them together on screen was in s3 of Buffy, and there he was supposed to be an idiot.
The only episode I really liked dorky Wesley was in 'Guise Wii Be Guise', that was just too funny

I really disliked Wesley while he was on Buffy. Yes he had some funny lines and there was a great dynamic with Giles being able to be more fun and edgy in comparison. But he just seemed so one dimensional and boring. When he popped up in Angel I pretty much had the same reaction till the last scene in his 1st episode (don’t remember the name) I kind of liked him allot more. He become multi layered and work well in the Cordy/ Angel chemistry. He had such an amazing journey on angel I cant really pick my favorite so I selected all the Wesley’s as they were interesting and well portrayed.

Yes, I'm one of the ones who loved him in S1 of Angel. I couldn't help it. I watched Angel first so I had no thoughts either way the first time. Then after I saw Buffy and saw him again on Angel, I was just tickled. Watching him dance HAS to be a highlight!

All the Wesleys!!!!! Complex, dorky, valiant. I even liked him in Buffy. It couldn't have been easy for him but apart from when he was screaming like a girl and various bumbling moments, he did actually did help. Even though everyone hated him he still helped in the end and he did offer to help Angel during the Ascension.

Also my favourite was standing up to Buffy in Choices. His argument actually made sense.

Wesley developed greatly but also demonstrated a tortured insecure persona. Everything from withstanding Faith's torture and going against the council to protect the creatures he's been taught to dispise, to shooting a guy in the leg and torturing a junkie.

One of Wes' traits has been his big picture thinking. Does the Wes' goals always justify his means of getting there? Not sure but at least he was willing to sacrifice himself to prevent more deaths (See Release).

What more can I say? Possibly a lot but I'll leave it there.

My vote goes to all the Wesleys, as a proud member of the now defunct Wesley Lovers United, you have to love all the facets of his complicated character - because the dark scary Wes leads to the strong and steadfast Wes of the later years. And the whimsical Wes is just humorous as anything, and who doesn't love a guy that wears leather pants?!
