Not a new production but an old one...
It wasn't her first movie, but I believe it was the first movie in which she had a starring role and in which she spelled her name as ALYSON. The credits present her with "Introducing Alyson Hannigan". These are screen captures from the 1988 comedy "My Stepmother Is An Alien". This movie stars Dan Aykroyd as extraterrestrial intelligence scientist John Mills and Kim Basinger as the alien visitor Celeste. He accidentally "summons" her to Earth when he beams a signal to her solar system. He's a single father raising his daughter Jessie, played by Alyson Hannigan. The movie was released in December of 1988, the year Willow-to-be turned 14. I believe that she would have been thirteen for most if not all of the filming period, which is almost high school age. The character she plays is thirteen.

I don't know how tall she was then, but it appears she had yet to reach her adult height, as seen in these shots of her next to 6' 1" (185 cm) Dan Aykroyd and 5' 7-1/2" (171 cm) Kim Basinger (heights as given in imdb.com bios.)

Seth Green, born the same year as AH (1974), has a small role (like 2 scenes) in this movie, playing Jessie's date Fred.

Willow and Oz to be! Until I saw this I had no idea that Alyson Hannigan and Seth Green had played dating teenagers together on screen ten years before they did so on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I guess this movie is fluff - silly but also kind of sweet. Jon Lovitz is funny as Jessie's uncle, and especially for usBuffy fans I think young AH is a delight to watch.
