Does anyone use the pager system except for Old Master III? lol

I was going to upgrade it but if no one uses it I'll just remove it and lessen the server load.

I used it(well Spirit of Fred huranged me on it) when it was first up but honestly, I don't like it.

It seemed like a good idea when I installed it, but personally I sort of feel like it's not that much different from Pm's.

I thought it was ok the first few times, but with PM's, at least, you could revisit them.

Well, I didn't notice the mistake because i'm at 4 in the morning...but, little miss 'i'm going to correct your spelling', you continued using it that way in your Rep to me...so, eat that chocolate cake

I don't use it - I've replied to people paging me, but I agree, may as well use the PM system as it's just as easy. :)

I think it might be more usefull if people used it more lol, but since no one really does (it seems, at least with me, the only person who ever pages me is Old Master lol) it's not that useful.

i used it at the start, when it was first installed. i thought it would be easier tham pm's if the person you were paging was actually online. but then i started to get kinda annoyed about it popping up when i was reading threads, so i stopped using it.
if it makes it easier in running the boards, then i say remove it.

The worst thing about them was if you had a popup blocker on, its messed with page loadings.

Probably, but either way, it REALLY put me off using it.

I guess it seems that no one really had much affection for it.

The previous pager was better than the current system...which I do use occasionally...though this one doesn't seen to be as "instant" as the old one, which I used to great advantage last awards night...though that may just have been a fortuitous happenstance last year...;)

What in the world is "harangued"?!? and I never knew there was a pager (although I was off of here for a long time) I might use it, but would be just as happy with PM's. If I'm that impaitent and wanna IM someone, there's always Yahoo or AIM...

Like Pointy said, It's probably just glitching.
I don't assume it was manually removed, because the function would have been gone completely.

Perhaps it's just as well. Nobody really uses the thing except me. :p

I disabled it the other day because it is too easy for people to use it for harassment. I'll remove the remainder bits when I get a chance.
