Yeah there's got to be a better word for that. ::huh1::
Anyway these polls are usually fun, and didn't see one anywhere, so here it is.

I voted always Bangel, the story just makes me go 'aww' and 'ooo' more. Spuffy made me go 'ew' but then.. 'oo sexy' and some very minor 'aww's. ;)

Bangel for me! Spuffy was sweet (at the end, anyway) but I think Angel was Buffy's 'love of a lifetime.'

while i can appreciate some hot spuffiness, its always bangel for me :)
I like both, Bangel for all the 'angst' and intense love, and it was just stuff legends are made of.
However, I did like Spuffy as well, for the fact that Spike understood Buffy more than she did herself at times , or wanted to admit to anyway - I always thought Spike would of been a good psychologist 'lol' He really did get into peoples heads & he knew what made them tick! Oh, and yeah, plus I liked that Spuffy was more physical than emotional too ....sex is good, even if it's just sex! :D

Ooo I can see the poll now :D Lots of Bangelers around here. Thought there would have been a few converted Spuffies, oh well. Be interesting to see if anything develops in the Season 8 comics but maybe it will be some other leading man.:looking:

Bangel. Yeah it was cheesy, but i liked the tragic aspect of it. Hopefully they'll get together if Joss ever concludes the Angel season six comic.
Spike is cool, and i like the bond he shared with Buffy, but their relationship was kinda creepy most of the time.

Funny, I thought Bangle was kind of creepy most of the time. I mean schoolgirl sucking a lollypop - that was pretty gross. I watched Buffy when it was first airing on TV and never bought the Bangle ship. I just didn't find it that appealing. Doomed just dosen't do it for me (and rewatching the series dozens of times on DVD that hasen't changed that).
Spike and Buffy on the other hand, was amazing! Funny, sexy, emotional, heartbreaking, tragic, hopeful, intimate. A whole gammit of feelings and emotions. This is the relationship that is 'worked at' the most in the entire series. it dosen't rely on meaningless platitudes such as "a forever love" and "soulmates" and 'twu luv" And if you could watch season 7 and say their relationship was just about sex then i don't know what show you were watching.

Both, though I tend to lean more towards the Bangel. Their story is just so darn good. And I know it's cliche, but no matter how many times I watch IWRY I cry, every freakin' time.

I'd have to go with Spuffy. Buffy and Angels relationship to me was too safe. Spike opened her up to new things.

Spike and Buffy...I just adore them! So darn intense, the ups and downs, the ews and wows and I did laugh and cry a lot on many scenes...
I tried to watch her and Angel but I don't like his personality, he doesn't strike me with anything special. I don't see any passion between them, any true excitement or revelations. Yes, he was her first and all, she felt safe with him but I don't think he deserved her love. Oh well, I don't want to say bad things about the guy because he is handsome and I'm sure many of you are into him but that's just my humble view. :D

Always has been and always will be Bangel! I'm probably the most anti-Spuffy person that anyone will meet. Season 6 is my least favorite season for many reasons but mainly because of Spuffy. It wasn't as bad in season but still nothing I prefer.
Everytime Angel came on screen I had that little fangirl reaction of seeing him and Buffy together. Always Bangel for me!

Yeah I agree, Sarah and David have great chemistry on screen (not that James and Sarah don't), but for some reason I can get into their story more with those two.

I couldn't have said this better!
I voted for both, I dug both hookups. I think I said in another thread that I loved Bangel and adored Spuffy and that's still kinda how it is. I can't not love Bangel, angst 'n all.

Buffy and Angel was a perfect relationship for a 15 year old girl. He was all tragic and broody, and that tortured soul thing was priceless. Pure Romeo & Juliette.
Of course, we all know how THAT ended...
Buffy had a lot of growing up to do before she could handle the kind of passion she and Spike generated. No 15 year old could handle it.

I love both relationships. Bangel was just perfect as an ultimate love, they were 'the one' for each other, despite that little bump where you know he went all evil and she had to send him to hell for a couple a' hundred years.
Spuffy though didn't have the tragic Romeo/Juliet complex and it was the only time Buffy was able to full accept herse;f and be herself without any judgement. Plus, whether you like Angel or Spike more you have to agree, when looking at the past and the facts, etc that Spike is morally the better man. And he actually intentionally went to get his *soul* for Buffy and in seasom 7 the relationship reaches a tenderness which is just so sweet and beautiful.
Okay, so i lean slightly towards the Spuffy, but I totally get and like how Angel was Buffy's epic love

yeah and as a result of all that passion she hated herself. Not exactly what anyboby wants from a relationship, no matter what age you are.
And Buffy and Angel had passion, so much so he had to leave cuz it was risking his soul just being around her!

Always Bangel.
The only time Spuffy was ever acceptable to me was in Something Blue. Because it was funny and in the end they went back to hating each other.

All 3 are an option??? Why didn't I think of that before? That's perfect!
I have always liked Spuffy a lot more than I liked Bangel. There are a lot of reasons behind that and those are topics for other threads. I also love those boys together in the last season of Angel. Joss even said they finally found "the perfect girl for Angel: and it was Spike!" I mean, why not throw them together? They all play off one another beautifully. The fact that Spike is in the picture would keep Angel from his moment of perfect happiness, Buffy wouldn't have to choose, and Spike would actually get the girl. Everyone wins. Plus, they're all open-minded enough for it. I mean, we know that Angel and Spike shared Dru. And Buffy's never gonna be a soccer mom. This wouldn't exactly be new territory for people who live in their crazy world. Of course, I wouldn't want Angel to go all dominant-male an possessive on either Buffy or Spike like he did with the fanged four. Maybe Angel would be better about that than Angelus was. Anyway, I'd give all three a shot. Why not? It would be a compromise. Everyone would win and lose a little. Plus, it would be incredibly interesting to watch them work out the dynamics of that freaky little family.

No, Dude. You have totally opened my eyes. It's the perfect solution. It's the good, ensouled, evil-fighting mirror image of the fanged four (minus dead Darla, obviously). Given various clues in the show and in the comics, I kinda think that may be Joss' endgame.
I honestly think it would be really fun to watch - and I don't mean in a pervy way. I mean, Angel and Spike interaction is always golden. They're always competing with one another, and yet teaming up or helping one another when it's important. It would be neat to see them try to share Buffy. They don't share well. lol. As far as Buffy goes, well, on what planet is that arrangement not good for her? She gets two strong vamps on her evil-fighting team, she and Angel are spared the perfect happiness curse, and she doesn't have to give up Spike. I mean, if you've read the comics, you know she at least thinks about it. The interaction between Angelus/Dru/Spike was always a blast to watch. I think the same would be true of Angel/Buffy/Spike, only it would be less... you know, evil.
Oh, Gosh... and poor Giles would rip his hair out. Poor guy never could convince Buffy to stay away from the vamp boys.

The more you go into it PV the more I like the idea of that threesome. You're right that it would be the good counterpoint to the fanged four....only without a fourth. But still.
I think it could work perfectly-as long as Angel and Spike could learn to share at least a little. Though I'm sure their banter would forever stop Buffy from ever slumping into depressed mode ever again. (Man, I said 'ever' a lot there). And I always adored the chemistry between Angel and Spike (more so than in season 2 with Angelus and Evil!Spike) and I think by The Girl in Question the two had come to accept that they both loved Buffy and with her saying she'll give herself to both well, I'm sure they'll soon accept that she loves them both also.
Plus, it saves Buffy that hard effort of having to pick between the two which we know would absolutely kill her. Both being so yummy and all.
But yes, I think this threesome would destroy Giles' last shred of sanity. Poor guy

Bangel all the way!!! They're so romantic, and even if the end is sad, Bangel will always be my favorite ship
Spuffy. All the way.
On second thoughts, PV has made me think, it would be hilarious if she was having a relationship with the both of them and neither of them knew until one day when something goes wrong and they both go to meet Buffy for crazy wild sex. Hahaha.

Whoa... dunno. I find that hard to conceive. Though Spike & Dawn clearly have chemistry, the idea "if Dawn was a few years older" SO defeats the concept of her character....

Spuffy forever!
Relantionship with Angel brought Buffy only tears, in Spike she found a man who really understand her and supported her. Plus, I just love their scenes together( Life Serial, After Life ,Touched....)
