I can't see my, or anyone elses signatures anymore, wondering if you had any idea why. I could see them all fine yesterday and I haven't changed anything on my computer.

I should wait to see if anyone knows of a board solution to this, but just in case there isn't, do you use anything Norton? Does it automatic update?

It's something on your computer so I would suggest checking firewalls, popup blockers, ad blockers and the like :)

What would I be looking for to change? I asked my nerdy BF for help, and neither of us know what to do :(

Turn any ad blockers off.

Any other suggestions? They still won't show up. It's not even all sigs I don't think, just like 99% of them. I can still see Spirit_Of_fred's

Are sure you don't use anything Norton - the anti-virus, security suite, anything like that. There's a known issue with Norton Internet Security ad blocker which does exactly what you're describing.

Have you tried this -

I can see everyone of those blimps tho :(

Edit:

I'm 100% sure I don't have anything Norton either.

Yeah, I'm having the same proble. I use McAfee and I was able to fix the problem with the other version but ever since I downloaded the updated version, my sigs disappeared again and I can't fix it.

You are using your home PC correct? Not a work PC or something else?

The fact that you can see some sigs and not others makes agree with the other staff that it is in fact something to do with your firewall/settings. When I am at work, all photo-hosting sites (photobucket, shutterfly etc.) are blocked and I will not see any signatures. However, once in a while someone will have their sig uploaded somewhere that is not blocked and I can see those.

Just for a test, maybe go into your Internet Security Settings and set www.photobucket.com as a "Trusted Site" - then let us know if some of the sigs appear (mine is uploaded to Photobucket so if you can see mine after trying this, then at least we've identified WHY you can't see sigs).

Also of course don't forget that sigs only appear once throughout a post, so it will only appear the first time you post in a particular thread, and not in any subsequent posts. It doesn't sound like this is the problem here though. :)

That's a weird one, because it just appears to be happening to one member, and the known checks don't seem to apply. Plus it happened out of the blue.

I'd suspect some sort of automatic update from something, or possibly even a virus. Is anything else acting strangely? Have you tried a virus scan? Like Jenny says too, a firewall might explain it, especially if it automatic updates. Have you checked your firewall settings? Do you use AOL?

I'd also check my settings in my browser, and board options to make sure something hasn't been messed with somehow there.

I put photobucket into my trusted site and restarted my comp and everything, and it still won't work. Yes, I use AOL, but I have the automatic updates on all my programs turned off. I have a virus scan and it isn't that, everything else works fine.

I've never used AOL, but I've heard enough about it to be suspicious. I'd check around on a possible problem there if I were you. Here's some places to start.

That clearing the AOL cache thing sounds like it might be something to try, if the other thing doesn't work.

As a point of interest, I also have AOL, & Norton and didn't have any issues till my Windows updated to IE7, then loads of images that previously showed up went kaplooey.

I uninstalled IE7, went back to IE6, and now everything is fine. I don't know if you're using IE7 or IE6 but as AOL does use IE, I certainly had problems after the update, so I just thought I'd mention it. ;)

Using CTRL+F5 will usually clear your browser cache as well, even in AOL.

See and I use IE7 exclusively at home and have no problems at all. I wonder if it's the combo of AOL and IE7 that's causing the problems.

Will Firefox work on AOL? If so she could try Downloading This (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/), and seeing if that fixes the problem.

I didn't experience any problems with Firefox, although you have to use it as a seperate browser and just minimize AOL's browser. :)

It was just with AOL's browser, so yes Jenny, it wouldn't surprise me if it was the combination of IE7 with AOL, as using IE7 as a stand alone browser didn't give me any problems.

I currently have one banner and one line of text in my signature. I'm seeing the banner but not the text. Is there a rule about what's allowed that I'm breaking? I can't figure it out.

The pic is probably too big for the text to show. you only have 725 x 150 pixels total of space or something like that. Try making your pic a little shorter and your text should show up.

thanks. that fixed it. I also discovered I had a blank line in it.
