Why is my post been edited without any notice or permission?

Oh, I know, I know. That was me. (I'm always so happy when I actually know the answer to something here in AI :))
Actually I thought I was helping you out. Here's what happened.
Buffy-boards has a news bot. It delivers news here from Whedonesque.com. Sometimes if it's pertinent to a thread I'll merge the news into a thread.
The problem is sometimes if it's older than the last post it situates itself above it.
In the case you're talking about you appeared to be responding to the post above yours. When I merged the newsbot post it placed itself between your post and the post above it you seemed to be responding to. This put your post out of context, so I added the quote of the post you appeared to be responding to.
Why do you want it changed?
Did you notice when you look at the bottom of an edited post it will give the name of the person who edited it, and the reason. Generally what happens is if you have a problem with it you can PM the mod and he'll try to fix the problem, explain it to you, or both.

Actually, you did receive a pm automatically when the post was edited notifying you that the post was edited, by whom it was edited, and the reason for which the post was edited.
