I had a question since I don't see it anywhere on the FAQ why is it that I can't make a thread advertising a site that I have that I belief people would enjoy being that this is a Buffy forum, and I have a Buffy rpg site, so I mean it makes sense to me. But of course after a few days it was deleted and I don't get it.

More than likely its because we already have an RPG section here on the boards.. and to advertise yours it would take BB members away from here. Plus more in likely its kinda spammy... I see they haven't taken it out of your sig so people can still get to your site if they wanted... So maybe its just because of the spamminess of the thread. Meanning other than telling people to check out the site and everyone else saying oh cool site.. or maybe i'll join it really has no point...just takes up space (i didn't mean that to be rude)

If advertising was allowed, on pretty much any forum, other than in your signature, then people would just join up so that they could advertise their site then never post again, and I'm sure that isn't what the administrator wants.

Plus it's really annoying when you see countless threads of people advertising their sites. You wanna put a link in your sig? Fine, but don't make threads.

If you have a Buffy or Angel related site, you can add it to the links page. Please do not include links to other Buffy/Angel-related message boards as it is generally considered bad form to link to boards of the same subject.
