At Mr. Pointy's recommendation, I was just reading through the FAQs and I'm convinced that I need someone to keep an eye on me until I get accostomed to how things work here. I actually run a discussion list and web site for another show so I assumed I pretty much understood the dos-and-don'ts. But I was surprised by some of the rules for this board, like we can link to our web site in our sig, but we can't say "come visit my site" because it "looks tacky." That's just one example. I'm concerned that I'm going to accidently break some sacred rule and everyone's going to hate me. Seems like this board is pretty reliant on "reputations" and "karma."
Anyway, I'm not trying to stir anything up. I just really like this site a lot so far and don't want to risk screwing up, since the rules seem to be much more strict than anything else I've been a part of.
So would someone please do me a favor and let me know if my signature is okay? I thought I was allowed to link to my Myspace and my web site, but now I'm not so sure....
