What do you think Sarah's future acting career will be like? I ask this because a lot of tremendously popular actors from the small screen leave to try their luck in movies, only to return to television after a less than stellar attempt there. There are a lot more Mark Harmons than Clint Eastwoods. I guess my question to Sarah is..."Do you feel lucky...punk?"

Seriously, how many of us feel that she is so seriously type cast as Buffy that either that or a Buffy-like character (a powerful woman standing alone against the forces of darkness sort of thing) that she will have little choise but to return to it or, like Sean Connery, have to wait literaly decades to overcome the type casting?

Edit:

Sorry, folks!!! I realized too late that this should probably have been posted in the CAST AND CHARACTERS section. Please don't chop off my wiggly parts for the transgretion.

I disagree with you on this one. And it may be in part to my extreme bias and adoration when it comes to Sarah, but it may not be.

She has chosen and been given many different roles. I don't think that she has stayed in the same role. Look at Cruel Intentions. Look at Southland Tales (if we ever get to see it). Think about The Air I Breathe (can't wait to see it) and Suburban Girl. These are all very different roles.

She keeps taking on roles that are not major-blockbuster films, but have some sort of flair. Eventually, she's going to get one where her role is going to land her an award. Usually those goofy, off-the-road movies do...and that's what she likes.

Sarah has played several different types of characters, but she is still, as I said, a television star made into a cult hero due to a specific character and show. As such, she will have to work twice as hard to prove herself capable of playing more diversivied roles while not alienating her "Buffy" fans. I really hope she makes it, but the odds are most definitely NOT in her favor.

I hope she goes back to TV. For two reasons: I like her, yet she's also a selfish diva who wants to be a big movie star and it would serve her right if she had to go back to TV.

I'm weird, I know.
