The New Slayers (Possible Spoilers for current and upcoming issues)

Here's the way I figure them so far. Feel free to add, or argue if you like. I'm game.


Leah - Scottish. Patched jeans. Peasant girl frock in # 1 to # 3 and a chav shirt in # 4. Wears what looks like a wooden cross. Big Hair. Red.

Satsu - Japanese. Stylish. Collects buttons. One says "Rude Girl". Wears a cute cap that makes her look like a cat. Knows when to get serious. Buffy is impressed. May be crushing on the Buffster based on issue # 4.

Rowena - Indistinguishable nationality (Maybe German, or Dutch). Wears a blue backward baseball cap, ( on one of the variant covers it had a Dark Horse emblem). Short, butchy, blond hair.

Renee - Indistinguishable nationality. I'm guessing Native North American (sometimes referred to as an Indian). Wears one feather earing. Crushing on the Xan man, although she claims she doesn't believe in love. She's hard on herself. My personal favorite so far.

I'm going with Satsu. For some reason she just seems so cool.

And for reasons nerd4hire explained, I don't think anything will be returned, although it is nice to see another "Willow" in the bunch. Makes for a refreshing change.

Faith is going to be chasing a rogue slayer.

I heard something about a return of Season 7 potentials. I think I heard Vi and Rona's names mentioned

I'd like to know more about those new witches too.

We should start a bring back Dana campaign. :)

There's another one now who looks like she might be recurring. We saw her first at the campfire when Andrew was lecturing the slayer recruits on how slayers don't use guns.

In appearance, she's kind of like what the Brits seem to be calling a chav. I think punk rocker might do too. She has short pink hair, and piercings. She's kind of cocky, and can back it up. She dusted a giant vamp, and took his sword in what looked like her first fight as a slayer in issue # 5, The Chain.

Here name is Simone.

They also are tracking the new slayers as they appear. They have a couple I forgot to add so I'll just let them do the work.

Buffy decoys: There are two Slayers posing as decoys of Buffy lest she become an easy target; one literally underground and another in Rome publicly partying and dating the Immortal. The unnamed decoy that went underground, discovered her status as a Slayer when she saves the lives of her schoolmates with her newfound powers. After seeing a commercial on local television recruiting newly activated Slayers, the girl finds the Slayer organization and undergoes training. Selected as a candidate to serve as a Buffy decoy in an underground society of demons, monsters, and fairies, this Slayer is ultimately killed by the demon she was sent to deter. Despite her death, the decoy Buffy was happy to have saved the world even if her own name would never be known.

Also below. It's their opinion, not mine. I think they might very well be correct, but I don't know of any canon information saying unequivocally it's true, so I'll just let them suggest it.

Rona: An African-American Potential Slayer, who helped Buffy during the battle at the Hellmouth where she was activated by the powers of the Scythe. Following Buffy's relocation to Scotland, Rona now helps train new Slayers who are not aware of their new identities, and selects from those Slayers candidates to become servers as decoys for Buffy.

I chose "waiting for another one" because I just haven't clicked to any of the new ones like I did with Buffy and Faith. I really hope theirs an evil new slayer who is kind of a main villian...then I would probably vote for them.

I think you might get something like your wish in the Faith arc which starts September 5. Watch for the Lady Genevieve Savidge character mentioned above.

She's a rich, cultured British aristocrat. Her father's a Duke. She's also a nasty piece of work. She murders a girl (slayer), and her only concern is she might get into trouble.

It would seem she has some kind of hyper slayer powers. She can sense other slayers when she puts her mind to it, and seems to have physical strength beyond the average slayer's.

She appears to be working for the group Buffy will be battling this season. She is being trained for evil deeds, (her father doesn't know about it), by an Irish Warlock working for The Twilight, named Roden. He calls her "Gigi" when she does something he approves of like kill a slayer with one swat.

She's been promised something by the Twilight through Roden. She calls it "what's hers".

If she doesn't die before "Fall's end" it will mean the apocalypse. (I know, not another one of those).

* Update *

Scott Allie says it was Satsu who gave Buffy the magic kiss, and we were supposed to have got that. It wasn't a false lead.

It isn't just Roden who calls Lady Genevieve Savidge Gigi. It's her pet name, and how she introduces herself to people she likes.

Simone is coming back. Her full name is Simone Doffler. I thought she would be a recurring character. And we get the answer to "was that really Rona in The Chain".

It was a very hard choice between The Unnamed Slayer (who I thought was amazing) and Lady Genvieve Savidge (gigi who sadly died too)
For some reason I loved both of the characters they killed.. In the end I had to choose The Unnamed Slayer.
