i give it one and a half...not an ep that i usually think 'hey, i really wanna watch that!'

i like the way Cordy tries to get on Buffy's good side, as well as her 'Oh, Buffy it's like we're sisters! But with really different hair!'
Cordy is what makes this ep watchable for. she has so many great scenes. like the one were she tells Buffy what not to wear, 'cause those are her signature pieces, and tells not to do that weird thing with her hair. her line when she parks her car VARY baddly 'Why do they have to park so darn close to you?' lol and they way she blames everything on Buffy, even though everyone knows it was her idea to go to the party. and even though Buffy saved the day, Cordy still thanks Angel!! lmao!!

oh, and Xander in a skirt...ROFLMAO!!

ok, i have no real reason to find this episode enjoyable. like lyri said, cordy did have some funny scenes, but they were just not funny enough and worth it enough to make me like the episode. i think it had pretty boring, black-and-white, lecture-from-your-parents messages: don't lie to your elders, don't drink, watch your back if you are going to frat parties. i also found the reptile demon kind of lame. i mean i guess it could make sense that some dumb frat boys would sacrifice people to a demon for wealth and money, but plotwise, it did not interest me. i did not find the episode particularly funny with so many other episodes for it to measure up to, despite xander in a skirt. grrr...i dont like this enough to watch it, which is making it so much harder to remember and make my case ::grrr::! um...oh, i didnt like how angel said that he could not date buffy because of the age difference. though it is good reasoning, logic and reason only have a small place in love sometimes, and for those who dont ship buffy/angel, buffy and spike had an age difference too. age should not matter so much in love if one of you is a vampire, and if its legal and not a large one, it should not matter in real life either. though i like spike/buffy, i like buffy/angel as well, and did like how this was a negative part of their relationship. another thing: buffy, being a teenager, is guaranteed certain mistakes, but she so should not have had a drink at that party! and also, it was predictable that there was something in the drink (to me, at least), so that was not very dramatic. there was a small amount of aspects i liked, such as some of the humor which was good, like:
BUFFY: Well, say it.
XANDER: I'm not gonna say it...
WILLOW: You lied to Giles.
XANDER: ...'Cause she will.
and like angel and buffy making a coffee date at the end. however, none of these things were good enough to get it more than one stake with me. these are what got it that one! oh, and finally, i think way cooler things could have been done with a snake demon :).

That's my favorite quote SOF!

I like Willow's commanding speech in the library to Giles and Angel. It really showed that she was breaking out of her old shell and becoming the Willow that we see in later seasons.

its probably one of my favorites too, if not my favorite, cause when i thought 'hm...what's funny in that episode?', it was one of the first things that came to my mind.

and the speech would indeed be one of those few good aspects for me. go willow :woot:!
