Moving right along, it's time to discuss the episode Halloween

Stakes: 4

I do like this episode. I think the characters did a really good job portraying the costume that they became, especially Buffy.

I would have to say my favorite part is when Spike is attacking Buffy, and then the spell changes, the real Buffy pops up and says "Hi honey, I'm home" Then proceeds to kick the crap out of him. Classic!

this is one of my all time fave eps. it never failos to raise a smile from me. I love macho Xander, he really blends with the Soldier persona. i think he's great. i love the part where he gives Cordy his jacket, and she just looks at him like he just sprouted another head! lol

18th Century Buffy is SO funny. i love her reaction to cars, and her fainting at the demon!

i really like the act that Cordy doesn't know what Angel's a vampire, just makes me laugh SO much. 'Oh, he's a vampire! but he's good. Like a Care Bear with fangs?' classic.

another of Oz's 'Who IS that girl?' which always makes me smile. :D

Spike's line 'Well this is just...neat!' LMAO, classic Spike at his best.

and i love willow at the end of the ep...when she throws her ghost costum in the trash and just walks in the sexier outfit Buffy made her wear. it shows how much Willow's confidence has grown, even in just that single episode.

i like a lot of the season two episodes very much, and this is one of them. im not sure if its one of my all time favourites of the show, but i dont think i could fairly give it less than a five. i loved the willow/oz moments...well, moment, sorta, but it had that classic line, and i still loved it . im going to have trouble not repeating what lyri said here, but i love spike in this ep as well. i forgot that line of his was in this one, but i do like it :). i love all of them in their costumes. buffy is funny in hers, and for xander it is such a change, and willow being a ghost is just cool, like how she comes through the wall and surprises giles. cordy does not turn into her costume, but like lyri says, she is still funny in this ep. the bangelness in this episode is great with me, and lets not forget that this episode also introduces ethan, which leads to all that ripper stuff, which is awesome. its got a cliffhanger at the end, which is also good. basically though, this episode does not fail to make me smile, and i like this it because im just a sucker for the funny, and there are funny lines and physical comedy aplenty in this episode.

lol, i forgot about that Giles scene...all his little note cards go flying!! hilarious!!
and the bit where Willow's trying to help Giles research, but she can't turn the page!!

i actually forgot all about Giles during my earlier summery, i think it's because he doesn't spend any times with the guys, so he doesn't see them with their new identities. but i do love Giles in this ep. i love the fact that we get to see what he was like before he was just Buffy's Watcher. we learned how much of a bad guy he was, when he calmly beats up Ethan, just stands and wipes his hands on his hankerchief as Ethans lies in pain. it's just an amazing character development that not many other writers would have thought of.

just remembered another funny moment...the moment when Willow tells everyone what to do, and Cordy says 'Who died and made her the boss?' just as Willow walks through the wall. Buffy's eyes going wide is as funny as hell.

OH! and Willow's 'She couldn't have dressed up as Xena?' :lmao:

It was hilarious when Willow just pops through the wall and Giles has living daylife scared out of him.I also like Ethan's line "Oh Rupert your scaring me".I think Xander is cool as a soldier and I always wonder what he would have thought if he saw Willow dressed in her outfit.

This is definitely one of the classic episodes of the season in my opinion.

I love Ethan so I like this episode on the merit of introducing him to the show, and I love when they turn into their costumes Xander gets to be the strong protective guy for once (as the very hot solider- did you see the Cordy-Checking-Him-Out-Vibes when he gives her his jacket) while Buffy is the one who's helpless. And when they were running away from Spike's child demon thingies....I thought it was so romantic that Angel sweeps Buffy up in his arms to carry her away. :romantic sigh:

And the whole library scene with Willow and Giles is hilarious. Her making him jump out of his skin and drop all the library cards and when he asks her what her outfit is.

Willow: I'm a ghost.
Giles: Ur, ah, y-yes, but the, the ghost of what exactly?

Poor, poor, bewildered Giles.

And ooh yay- our first glimpse of Ripper. Yum yum yum. Wait, Ripper's a bad thing right? Whoops....

Definitely one of my favourites of the whole show.

Everything in the episode worked, Army Xander, Naught ghost Willow, Buffy's old timey amnesia, Spike in the good old badass days, Oz and Cordelia's scenes.

So many good one liners, and of course Ethan, I don't think the episode would have worked without him. And our first glimpse at Giles' Ripper days.

Start to finish this is a gem of the series, one of the best acted, and with great humour the whole way through.

This one really is a classic. And quite important in the long run - i mean, how much mileage did they get out of Xander's night as a soldier? Really excellent episode anf thouroughly enjoyable.

Ok, I rewatched this episode some days ago and I noticed something:
-Willow was a ghost, so she couldn't touch anything. BUT this happened:
-Giles and willow went to Ethan's and then giles says "willow, get out of here" (or something like that) and she leaves but we can hear the door opening and then closing! Willow couldn't touch anything! So she couldn't open the door.

That's a mistake... Right? ???

I always have a case of fangirl squee when Buffy goes "Honey, I'm home" to Spike XD

And I love the end.

Oz sitting totally and already in love "Who IS that girl? "
