I always thought it was weird that there was no mention of Groo ever again. Maybe the Fang Gang didn't see him as a crucial part of the group. Just Cordelia's boyfriend. It would have been cool if he would have returned not in season 4 but in season 5. I think he would have fit in pretty well there.

There was no reason for him to be mentioned again. He only really interacted with Cordy and after he left the whole Cordy acsending then becoming evil then comatose thing happened. I doubt the rest of them even thought about him. Its not like they were all friends or anything. not even enemies. There was no point in him being brought back ever.

I'm still of the belief that Groo should have had the role of Drogyn.
It would have been far more entertaining if thats what had happened and it would have fit with what Angel had to do.

I dont know. I think he was past the whole jealous of Groo thing by the time he had to kill Drogyn. It wouldnt have had the same impact I dont think. But thats just my opinion ;)

I don't mean it as a jealousy thing.
I mean that Angel could have given Groo the news about Cordelia and it would have been a bigger strain on the group when he confessed to killing Groo.
And it would have been a bigger shock to the viewer that Angel actually killed him
Jealousy was not even part of my thoughts.

Ok, fair enough. I get what youre saying. I just dont think there was a place for him after he left. I think there was too big a time gap. It just wouldnt have had the same effect. Not to me anyway

You woudln't have liked a scene wher Angel had to tell Groo that the woman he loved had died?
Personally I think that would have been great, especially if it was during the whole 'Fred's Dying'.

Not really to be honest. But I wasnt a huge fan of Groo. I liked him but he was really just there. He didnt really do anything (other than make Angel jealous)
Besides, for all we know he could have been way over Cordy by that point :p

Hmm, you are wrong;)
I think that Groo deserved to know, he could have easily replaced Drogyn and it would have been interesting to watch how that played out.

Im not saying he didnt deserve to know. Im just saying I prefer it the way it is to having Groo there instead :)

I didnt mind that he never came back. Didnt like his character, something about him just bugged me...Although Mark is a great guy, fun to shop in Primark with haha x
I'm not sure about Drogyn as Groo because we would have to rewrite the whole deeper well thing. Drogyn had a mystic elder feeling about him and Groo seemed too 'young'.

I loved Groo when he was on and I think that it would have been fun for him to make a few more appearances and I think that he was more a part of the group than just Cody's Boyfriend. He was a fighter. I missed him after he left.

I miss Groo.
I think the Droggyn job would have been perfect for his skill set and for his value set. Also, I think they would have believed him when he told them that they couldn't save Fred. Angel would have known him well enough to know that Groo would have felt just as sad about it as Angel.
Also, I think Angel telling Groo about Cordy's death would have been a great scene. And I agree that killing Groo to get into the black thorn would have meant something. Droggyn was a throwaway character. He was human(ish), yes. And a decent enough guy. That made Angel's cold-blooded and calculated murder of him shocking. But that was sort of a cheap thrill. It would have been more of a sacrifice -- it would have hurt the viewers and Angel more -- if the person that he had to kill had once been part of his team.

Groo was never mentioned agaon because he realized tha Cordy was in love with Angel and that he was no longer needed around.
But i have to agree with Visonguy. If he would of returned in S5 it would have been amazing since everything was goin into chaos
