If you had to choose which would you have had done in S2 Darla being resolved and killed (Keep in mind that there would be no Connor) or Pylea with the whole Princess Cordy and Fred joining A.I.. Also if you chose the Darla resolution how drastically do you think it would have affected S3?

Pylea. The whole Darla thing kinda bored me after a while, to be honest. I think that's the reason season 2 is my least favourite of either Angel or Buffy.
The lurch into something completely different - and FUN - for the last 4 episodes is a breath of fresh air IMHO!

def Pylea.
i seemed to like episodes more if they weren't at all involved with Wolfram and Hart or with Darla.
Some Darla eps i enjoyed like The Trial and Dear Boy
but i like how obsessed Angel got with Darla because i just loved watching Gunn, Cordy, and Wes alone (i would watch a show with them three being do-gooders and saving the world: king :)
and i love Groo

I'd definitely have to go with Pylea. I love Fred's introduction to the series, and I honestly think it would have been a lot more boring without her.

If you're asking for basically a choice between a story arc that introduces Fred or one that introduces Connor, I would have to go with Fred. She brought much more to the show than Connor did (of course, she was on the show a lot longer. With as much air time for Connor, which would've allowed much more time for his character to develop, I might have a harder time deciding. Of course, no Fred would mean no Illyria, unless CONNOR became the shell...Nah, the thought of a blue haired Connor is just revolting)

It successfully managed basically 2 full seasons without her and wasn't boring.
Fred brought a new dimension to the show but she didn't 'save it' or nothing from mediocrity, she just enchanced what was already a winning formula

I quite enjoyed the Darla storyline until the whole pregnancy thing, which I think sucked because:
a) Angel having a child never worked for me.
b) Darla's pregancy leads to Connor (horrible, horrible arc), Evil!Cordy, and, most importantly, no Cangel.
Pylea was a strange couple of episodes, def not amongst my favourite, but they brought us Fred, who I like (I've only ever cried twice in Buffy/Angel: watching the Body, and watching Fred's last episode). The pregnancy/Connor storyline, for me, was when the show "jumped the shark".
So I vote Pylea.

I really like Darla, and therefore also her storyline. BUT the problem is where this led. Like groovygarden already pointed out, Evil Cordy and no Cangel. So that kinda sucks. But (yes, another but) I don't blame the s2 storyline for how everything turned out. Baby Connor was cute and brought Cordy and Angel even closer together. So I'm gonna go with the Darla storyline, and ,if I had the choice, cross out the Holtz storyline instead.

I love Fred, she's my second favourite, only to Lindsey. I also appreciate the amount of meta in the Pylea arc. But the general vibe I got from Pylea was hate hate hate. It was such a contrast from the rest of the season, which I loved a whole lot.

The Pylea episodes are my favorite ones in the entireaty of Angel.
Fred is my favorite character and I think it was the best introduction they could have given her character.
The whole Darla story line got a bit boring after a while. I liked it when she hooked up with Drusilla but after that I think she got a little boring.

Pylea.
1. It's one of my favorite arcs in the Angelverse.
2. We get to explore Lorne's background (one of my favorite Angel characters).
3. Cordelia gets lots of attention and storyline (something which really bothered me about Season 2).
4. The introduction of Fred.
5. The Darla storyline overshadowed other characters I wanted to see more of (Cordy, Wes, Gunn, Lorne).

I go with Darla cause i just love the charc. I agree that Connor isnt the best option... but...
And about Fred, shes the cuttest! About Lorne is also great, but nothing is better than the Cranky Angel and the sure that Cangel will NEVER happends lol Im the only one that thinks Angel and Cordy has NOTHING in common it is just not right see then together? >.<

I looved Darla. It was cool seeing her pregnant. I wouldn't mind Connor as much as long as the whole Jasmine higher power sleeping with Cordy deal didn't happen than I'm cool with him. (PS when Cordy got pregnant it would have been better to have it as Groo's baby, add him back in since he just dissapeared). And Fred is awesome, so I have to go with Pylea. Those ones were good anyways.

I wouldn't have changed anything in season 2. It's by far the best season of Angel.

i completely agree.
i really never fully understood the whole connor story arc thing and i don't think it should've happened...
but that's just my 2 cents =)

I wasn't a big fan of the Pylea story in general...but the Princess Cordy thing was just a Cordy fan's dream come true. I wouldn't give it up for nothing!
