Has anyone read/got any of the following books:
The Willow Files Vol 1,
The Willow Files Vol 2,
The Xander Years Vol 1,
The Xander Years Vol 2,
The Cordelia Collections Vol 1,
The Angel Chronicles Vol 1,
The Angel Chronicles Vol 2,
The Faith [idk what these ones are called :p]
And I think there are some more, but I'm unsure.

I've read both of the Willow ones, Xander Years 1, and the Cordy one, they're basically - if you haven't read any of them - just episodes written out, if you HAVE read them, then which ones and did you like them? :)

Among those you mentioned, I only have the volume 2 of Willow files. I have not read it because I was hoping to find volume 1 first. As soon as I do, I will come back to this. I wish I could get all of them.

I have volume 1 & 2 of the Willow Files [Well, they were both £1 at Forbidden Planet, I couldn't pass up the chance :p] They're really good, and it doesn't really matter which order you read them in, because it's not one long story, there are three different stories in each book, and each one is an episode of the show =]

The ones I have are:

The Faith Trials Vol 1
The Xander Years 1 & 2
The Willow Files 1 & 2
The Angel Chronicles 1, 2 & 3

I love the pictures in the middle of the books. They are very good episode shots.

In Faiths book I liked the opening where it shows her arrival into Sunnydale. Being an Angel fan I love the Angel Chronicles the best. I just have one nip pick though. At the end of book 2 in the epilogue Angel thinks that Spike and Dru are still alive but in book 3 he is convinced that they killed them at the end of What's My Line. It's just a small inconsistency that bugs me lol

I have a few of those.... More than I can be bothered typing! They were given to me as a gift but when I saw they were basically just the episodes in book form I didnt read them. I have since exchanged many of them at book exchange stores, I have the DVDs I dont need the books too. Plus I get other books in the exchange :)

I have and read all three parts of the Angel Chronicals, own the Faith Trials (haven't had time yet to read), and read The Willow Files pt.2 (got that from the library)
I especially liked the Angel Chronicles, the 3rd one was the best. I like written out episodes anyway, it's always a great experience to read something after you've seen the episode. And part 3 features some of the best episodes EVER (for Bangel and Angelsus fans anyway), like Surprise, Innocence or Passion. The scene in Surprise, when Angel and Buffy tell each other how much they love the other (right before they sleep together) is even better when you read it.

I like to form my own pictures in my head, so seeing the televised version before the written version doesnt work for me. Mind you, it doesnt work for me if I read then watch either. I get fussy and nit pick at silly things :)

I'm with FunnyBunny on this one. I like reading the thoughts that go behind the actions as well.

I don't usually like reading books that go to films or watching a film then reading a book because there's bits missing and changed that way, but with these stories they are a perfect match with the episodes and its a good insight into the characters :)

I have the Willow files 1 & 2, and thought the author did a good job adapting the scripts. Then I bought her "Wicked Willow" trilogy and was really disappointed in it.
