In episode 8 [Or maybe seven...?] 'The Shround of Rahmon' when Angel was undercover, and the shroud made him crazy, I really really thought that he killed Kate, she just really looked dead. Did anyone else, or am I just...an idiot...? :p

I think the idea was that we think he'd killed her, at least until the explanatory flashbacks. He did seem pretty nuts, after all.

I think they just wanted to frighten the s**t out of us to think he had lost it and maybe give us a taste of what was to come

I thought he'd killed her, cause Kate was such a minor character (unfortunately). Glad he didn't, though.

I knew she wasn't dead. For some reason I just knew it. Also mostly hoped cause I really liked her.

My first reaction was oh crap, next episode is going to be angel hiding from the authorities on this one.

I wasn't sure the first time I watched it, but I remember leaning towards nay. Angel is pretty good at shaking off magics and willing through intangible deceptions, I think.

At first I thought he had killed her, or at least seriously drained her. The moment itself was pretty awesome, with Kate shooting and all.

I thought he had killed her but then I remembered an episode list I had read somewhere so I knew it wasn't her last appearance, ergo the chances of her being dead were small (though not completely gone; it's not like death stopped certain other characters from reappearing)

It's a very clever part of the episode. I loved that you really did think Angel had killed her, and you were thinking 'Omg Angel killed her, bad Angel' yet at the same time 'Oh poor Angel, that's gonna make him go even crazier when he realises what he's done'.

It was also a very clever way of getting out of an awkward situation.
