Would Angel Inc still work at Wolfram and Hart ? I know a bit of what would have happened had they not been cancelled like Wesley not dying, Gunn going big bad, possibly spitting illyria and fred apart, and maybe seth would have came by to reprise his role as Oz along with the return of Cordy. But does anyone know if They would have still been in W&H?

I think that maybe if they had only had one more season after that then they wouldn't work at Wolfram and Hart, like maybe the whole season would have been them fighting it and getting out. But, if there was more than one season after that, then maybe they would there for a while but eventually in the end, the same thing would happen.

What? How would Illyria and Fred have split? Wasn't Fred's soul, like, vaporized? I think the next season was going to be the last one and probably involved the gang fighting evil on a much larger scale like the Buffy final season.

Not from the information i've read.
The season ending of 5 was pretty much how it was done, I think the plan was that LA would have been post-Apocalyptic and the Gang would have been fighting to restore humanity - this would have obviously ended with Angel Shanshuing as I this this was 'that' Apocalypse.

I think it was that they condensed season 6 into season 5.
I always thought that Fred's soul was completely obliterated. I mean, I heard the theories that Illyria could have just been fibbing, but why would she? She thought humans were scums and of no threat.

maybe because they had to rush everything towards the end fred was vaporized . Im assuming that if they had another season then they would have written theat fred was still there but burried away somewhere deep within illyria.

Certainly Angel and the rest of his crew BELIEVED that Fred's soul was vaporized/obliterated/boiled away/whatever, but the possibility remains that a powerful enough witch or shaman could have some means of retrieving it. After all, anything's possible in a Whedon story.
