I am not sure if it is going to be good or not but I am still going to see it.
So, it will be out in January then. Hope netflix gets it in, then if it's good I can buy it after I see it first.

Hope it's dark and twisted. :)

Woo! A girl/girl kiss involving Eliza... The girl is cute too, a nice change from the girl/girl action in 'Soul survivors', I didn't like that!
But yes, I've already pre-ordered the movie over the net... There's no way it'd be on any shelf at a DVD store near me!

I don't know how anyone can tell anything about it, the cuts are so quick. Brief flashes that give impressions but don't really tell you anything make me leery about spending money on the film. Whoever came up with that "style" of filmmaking should have his editing fingers smacked with a nice large hammer...

Maybe the cuts and lack of information on the movie is to get the viewer wanting to watch it... Curious...

I'm sure that's probably the case; problem is, I've been burned enough like that before, I'm not inclined to blow any money on films advertised like that anymore. Maybe if I get a chance to see them for free.

I watched it last night... It felt shorter than it was supposed to be. It was weird... Definetly a DVD movie. (It's available online now - Shh!)

Ya I saw it a couple of days ago. It's um....ok. Not terrible. But don't get excited people about the girl/girl kiss.

No, don't. I was disappointed with that! Among other things.

I just finished watching it. I thought it was good. It was clearly not a blockbuster movie, just a short little story of two struggling couples. The kiss really didn't make or break the movie.. Eliza was hot as always, and some of the awkward scenes they were put in were strange and left you with an awkward feeling. But I thought it was still a good movie :D I'm glad I watched it.

What I liked about it, SPOILER AHEAD: Is that the 'therapy' is what both couples needed, for Eliza and that guy, it brought them closer... The other couple, needed to break up, and so they did.

Definitely a direct to DVD movie but pretty good! Eliza was great, as always. Interesting plot and I figured there'd be more sex going on than breakfast of course. :D
SPOILER:
I agree..that was an interesting twist at the end. Personally I thought that Heather and James would have been the ones to stay together whereas Renee and Ellis had too many jealousy issues. So I really didn't see that ending coming.

Spoiler
The fact that the guy 'Alice' made her go to the 'group sex' while they were in the shower together.. all happy and she says she doesn't want to and he says.. he does. What kind of an idiot says yes, honey I would like to go have sex with another woman and let another man touch you even though you are having second thoughts. ::huh1:: And how awkward it was. Definitely not cool even if she wanted to go in the first place and changed her mind!

I thought maybe that couple would've broken up because of that, I'm a little surprised she didn't hold it against him. So not cool, treating Renee like that!
Then funnily enough, she seemed to be more into it than Alice.

I didn't think she liked it more. :p
Alice definitely should have gotten slapped.
But then again she loved him.. so she went along with it

True. Maybe it just seemed to me she was more into it lol. I just mean Alice looked very very hesitant, and took longer to 'get into it'. I guess Renee's actions showed how much she loved him.
Did anyone think she was actually going to get on with that waitress?

That would have made the movie even hotter :p But I liked how it ended with them still together. Plus everything else that happened in the movie made it so extremely hot if that happened I fear the screen would have melted! But I did think she was going to! It would have worked either way. Would it have?
FaithyFivebyFive
01-19-2008, 06:18 PM
Lol, I had to giggle at the 'screen melting'... I'm sometimes very simple-minded.
I think it would've worked either way.
I mean, it was just hot when Renee said 'I've always wanted to sleep with a woman'. I was a bit surprised at how opposed to the idea Alice was. But he loves her lots I suppose. Renee's opening scene was pretty hot. ;)
It was a bit sad that the other couple ended.
It's weird, it felt like the movie was supposed to go for longer... And I expected different from the trailer. I expected the characters to fall for other people, for some reason. :P

Yeah it definitely sounds like Alice but I checked on IMDB and he's listed as Ellis. Just subtle differences when it's actually being pronounced so I understand the confusion. :) I probably would have thought Alice too if I didn't check the site.

I thought it was Alice too, it sounded so much like it lol. I'm glad I've been corrected! Honest mistake.
I wonder what made Eliza agree to the role?

I haven't seen it, and probably won't for a while, but I do wanna see it to see Eliza in a different kind of role.

Seems nice. It's also with Culkin (won't say his first name, since I don't know how to spell :P), long ago I heard something of the Richie Rich boy.

Iīll watch it cause itīs Eliza.. But I donīt now... Feels like a "rainy-afternoon-movie" you now what I mean?
To be honest I think it looks terrible. Tepid, tedious writing off-played by boring cinematography and uninspiring performances. There's only so much you can tell from a trailer, and maybe the person who put it together should just be out of a job, but ew, looks bad.
^Then again knowing her fans the music could be people humming and have nothing but stick figures painted on the background for a cast to save money and people would still watch it.
Think I'll pass.

Ok, so now Iīve seen the movie. Fell asleep to it last night. :) Not because it was that boring, was just tired. Itīs basically: Relationship trouble, sex talk, sex and little little breakfast. Wouldnīt consider the movie good or bad. Iīd give it 6 or so. Watchable as long as you understand what the movie is all about. Want a feel-good movie? Watch something else. A must see? Absolutely not. Itīs ok and Eliza is in it. If it wasnīt for her I wouldnīt have watched it in the first place. And I have no immediate urge to watch it again anytime soon.
I will admit I wanted her to sleep with the waitress, lol.
Me and you both.
So did she? Coz that's hot.
We donīt wanna ruin the ending now do we?

We donīt wanna ruin the ending now do we?
Why not? :P I've got the movie on my list of stuff to see, so hopefully I'll be getting around to it later on. Right now I'm making my way through Tru Calling.
Tell you what I really like, though, I like that Eliza's doing little indie films. Sarah, too. Those kinds of films are usually about complex personal issues and relationships, or what I affectionately refer to as "talkies". They're not going to win 12 Academy Awards, but most of the time they're good and tend to be solid, albeit small. I would much rather see her do 10 "talkies" back to back than anything like "Soul Survivors" ever again, y'know?
That "Nobel Son" looks really interesting...
The Kinslayer
08-19-2008, 10:41 AM
Why not? :P
Because most people donīt like to know the ending before they see a movie? But sure, I can tell you. No she donīt sleep with the waitress. Too bad.
I just rewatched Tru Calling. I want more!! :bawling:
It's only good to do Indie films when they're not bad Indie films. Being in a bad Indie film is a signifier of how low you have sunk.

I radomly came across this film about 2 months back when I was scouting for ED interviews...and I was kinda like "Do I wanna watch a film where all she does is have sex and eat breakfast...*contemplates*...meh I'll risk it" ;-D hahaha And I'm glad I did. This was a film that was wickedly funny and yet I felt real emotion at times. This was actually the film that I was like "Yup...the girl has talent" Cause I only coped on she existed in June through Faith...And just cause I liked her character I didnt automatically say "yeah I love Eliza Dushku, she's a wicked actress" For me an actor has to have depth and can mix characters,so everytime she was in frame I would be really critical with her "Ummm she's beeing flirty...is that a Faith smirk I see?...A raised eye brow, uum Faith?,,,Oh she's getting angery..is any aspect of Faith gonna seep through her acting here?" And she just totally blew me away. She gave me Rennee and she was good at it.And her facial expressions...every time I'm amased at how much she can convey in a simple eye movement or a smile or head tilt
My best mate even watched{and he aint a fan at all...he's gotta go through the pain of me obsessivly chatting about her}and he was even blown away so in books all's good ;-}
The film itself I thought was just a breath of fresh air.It was just so God damn funny and heartwarming all at once and all the characters {save the other swinger chick} were really enjoyable ;-} hahaha even the old couple in the lift.
If you havnt already watch!!!
Edit:
Ah damn I just read the last page of post...not a lot of love for the film then? ;-} Oh well each to their own.I really enjoyed it,but I have to agree with a lot of yous if Eliza wasnt in it I wouldnt have watched it,But the guy who played the boyfriend I thought he was pretty damn good too.I see two people wanted Renne and the waitress to hit it off.
I didnt...and that's strange for me ;-} hahaha not wanting to see lesbian characters on screen
But I'll tell yas why I liked the ending, because that ending would have been predictable abd also those two characters where in love...simple...he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and she loved him the same way. They were ment to stay together and that scene where ya see the little piece of paper left...damn I had the biggest grin...it was love...pure and simple...that's why Renne didnt get her experimenting wish ;-D
