How was "Earshot" promoted?

I was just wondering if someone who was a regular viewer back during the early years remember the details of "Earshot" being aired. I know it was held back until fall, but it aired before "The Freshman". Was it promoted as a season finale? A lost episode?

Just curious.

I don't remember exactly how it was promoted but I think it was as a regular episode. I think you can search for the episode preview on you tube and check it out. A lot of the commercials from back in the day are there.

Oh, I didn't know that. Hmm, the promo on YouTube just promotes it as a new episode, but it aired in the middle of the summer, after the season three finale and before the season four premiere. Random.

I remember them not showing it at the time, but when it aired it was just like any other episode.

It was aired as just any episode, I remember them saying something like "this is the one you missed" or something like that. They had already caused a lot of noise by pulling it so I don't think they wanted to bring anymore attention to the episode or it's subject matter.

If I remeber correctly it was aired later like the graduation episode was because of the Columbine shooting in Colorado, I was a senior in high school at the time and after the shootings tensions were really high (during that week we had a bomb threat at my school and i live in Cali.) and remeber being a little dismayed at them not showing the episode at the time, more so about the graduation, but yeah it was a regular episode just later.
