Faith didn't hesitate, she was talking either about throwing them both off the building or just Buffy ^_^ then Buffy stabbed her
Buffy pushed away her hands so she could stab her is that what you are referring to?

no i'm talking about where she says "damn b i'm gonna miss this" then she just doesn't really move for a second giving buffy the chance to stab her she sghould have swung at buffy or pushed her or something but she didn't

She says that and not even a second later Buffy knocks away her hands and stabs her so i don't see the hesitation, it's the usual talking while we fight Buffyverse thing

I think like in the Angel episode Faith wanted death even if it was just for a split second, just like Spike said.

She just got this look in her eyes, like relief. I think she gave in too easy. she seemed shocked when Buffy stabbed her, part of that is that she didn't really believe that Buffy would do it but I think it was also shock that she let it happen. Like she had thought about it but never expected it to happen.

yeah in spike's words "every slayer has a death wish" and faith was definatly on a self-destruct path if anyone has read the faith diary novel Go ask malice by nancy holden they'd definatly understand the charactor a little more and why she has that self-destrucktion mission

Do you think she gave up kinda easy though? I expected so much more fight out of her

She was planning on running away that's part of the reason she broke the handcuffs.
She also didn't expect Buffy would stab her lol. She was going to toss her off the roof.
So while giving her oh so amazing speech as in all Buffy episodes she just held her for a second.
That gave Buffy enough time to stab her, she wasn't hesitating at all, no was she thinking Buffy would gut her.

I don't believe there was really any hesitation. Maybe a moment of clearity on Faith's part. "B's gonna win or she's just keep coming back" Ok maybe not so much but you never know what was really just going thru her mind. She may have wanted to lose.

I think she wanted it to end on that roof

It was either Buffy stabs her or Buffy kisses her. Hey I vote for the latter but ya know.

No hesitation, imo. She didn't see her wrong just yet. She saw it when she came back, imo.
What happened was they were on the roof, and each was holding each others arms, so it was a stalemate. Buffy knocked Faith's arms away and then stabbed her.

But she had begun to see her wrong, in Consequences Angel had gotten through to her...Faith new what she was doing was wrong the whole time but she didn't seem to see any other option

Yeah, but after Wesley was a biotch, she lost it all and didn't regain it until "Who Are You?"
"Because it's wrong."

I still think she knew all along. She couldn't be the best 'good slayer' so she gave her all to being the best 'bad slayer'

Maybe deep down, but not enough to kill herself or let someone kill herself. Not just yet. Again, that happened in "Who Are You?" and she actually told someone to kill her in "Five By Five".

I think we are going to disagree on this one. There is just this look she gets, like in thats instant she gave up.

Me too. Me too!
But no, I don't think there was hesitation. I think Faith did want to die, maybe she didn't even realise it until the last minute, when she was so close to death. Know what I mean?

I agree. FAith had alot mor fight in her on the rooftop but I think she gave up on the inside. She let BUffy stab her in my opinion. Then she jumps off the building, one so Angel can feed off Buffy and maybe in hopes that she wouldnt survive.
And with the FAith not expecting to get stabbed,...maybe but we all know when it comes to Angel, Buffy will basically almost do anything

Here's how the transcript reads:
Buffy: What's the matter? All that killing, you afraid to die?
Faith spins Buffy so she can get the leverage to use her legs and manages to snap the handcuff chain. They face off. Faith holds a length of pipe. Buffy pulls out Faith's knife.
Faith: That's mine.
Buffy: You're about to get it back.
They exchange blows, Faith dodging the knife. They move to the edge of the terrace and Faith holds Buffy at the edge.
Faith: Man, I'm going to miss this.
Buffy breaks Faith's grip and plunges the knife into Faith's abdomen. Both of them looked stunned for a moment.
Faith: You did it.
I don't think Faith was giving up, she'd just had Buffy nearly over the edge of the building. She'd nearly won the fight. She wasn't welcoming her death. She was surprised when the knife hit her. you can see it on her face. So, no, I don't think she hesitated :)

Faith had been rethinking her loyalties for the last few episodes before Graduation Day Pt. 1 she just chose the darker path and realized what that impact was going to be for her in the end when Buffy knifed her at the end of the episode. I think she realized it more so in Graduation Day Pt. 2. She knew she was guilty, knew the darkness of the grave she dug herself, and that she wasn't getting out and I think the last fight with Buffy made it hit home in her mind.... but I don't think it was hesitation, more of realization of "Well I screwed up big time." kind of deal.

I think that Faith wanted Buffy to end the whole sage and I don't think she really cared how, but I think that B stabbing her was a def shock to Faith.
Faith always saw B as the righteous shining light of the slayer line and wanted to be saved, and finally realized that Buffy had given up on her, so she threw herself off the roof as a final act of rebellion, as if to say, you gave up on me, well for that your honey dies.
I also think Buffy was wrong to try and kill Faith, Buffy has always blabbered on about how (and she even preached this to Faith) that being a slayer isn't the same as being a killer, and then the second Angel needs the blood of a slayer, off B trots to kill Faith but its ok because Angel needs it and Faith is 'bad'.
