So now there's 2 canon verse comics, and I'm curious. Do people have their comic purchasing habits mapped out?

I voted both, but on second thought I should have said more. I've subscribed to S8 and AAtF; they're cannon so I have to have them. Although I'm not sure of the time-frame yet, I also want to get my hands on The Origin, Tales of the Vampires, and Tales of the Slayers.

I picked those 2 and more, I'm subscribed to the two canon comics but I think I might delve into the non canon comics...haven't really given them a chance before and now I'm curious.

Buffy for sure. Angel? Maybe, but probably not beyond the first few unless they grab me more than the first issue did. I never really cared for AtS the way I did BtVS, anyway.

Hmm, I'm not much of a fan of Angel and still haven't seen all of it. But I probably will pick up both series of comics though.

i clicked both. my Angel S6 (finally!) arrived today, and lthough it wasn't really all that great IMO, i still wanna know what's gonna happen, and i don't have enough patients to wait for the TPB.

I voted both. My whole plan with my comic shop is that I get the variant and regular covers for Buffy always, every month. But with Angel I will give notice in advance which issue cover I prefer, either variant or regular. So that's my plan. The main reason I am not getting both Angel covers is 1. I love the art work for Buffy's 10x more than Angel's and 2. I am a bigger fan of Buffy. So for me it's about having everything I can, but with Angel I just want to read what is happening.

I only plan to get Buffy S8 and Angel AtF, so I vote both, but that's not to say I'll never get other Buffyverse comics, if there are even going to be stories outside of the main series any more.

Both. The Angel story I'm finding more interesting and with a little more depth the more I have a look at it.
But like TB I'm not worrying about having all the covers like with Buffy.
Tales of the Vampires/Slayers are great... and possibly canon.. I need to ask Joss next time I run into him ;)
I've read Omnibus 1 and 2.. wasn't that into most of 2, so stopped there.

I'm subscribing to both. As Buffy's one and only true love said, "I wanna see what comes next."

both for me - but i probably should have said 'those two and more' as i've been getting the omnibus' and since BS8 began i've been periodically buying other Angel/Spike comics.

You're right, and that's exactly my point. Now, hush and eat your ice cream. I'm busy writing "Hyperrion Hijinks." Be a good girl, and I'll let you read it when I'm through.

I retired from purchasing comics in 1994, but curiosity recently got the better of me and I have briefly un-retired for these new Buffy and Angel canon romps...and possibly "Fray" if the mood strikes me. (Yes, I am probably the only one left on earth who hasn't ever read "Fray").

I did buy the Omnibus (vol. 1) a month ago, but that doesn't count here.

For Buffy S8 I'll be buying the TPB's (already bought), and Angel S6 will be a monthly purchase (already bought. Harris variant cover).

Hey Kanga, if you're reading this, please assure me I haven't made a big mistake. :p

You're not the only one who hasn't read Fray. I haven't read it either. I want to though.:coolman:

Excuse you! what happened to your Southern manners?!?

Please accept my most humble apologies if I seemed abrupt with you in my last post. I was at work, and my boss (A K A Big Bad Wannabe) was standing right over my shoulder blowing his halitosis down the back of my collar. I promise to try to do better next time

P.S.-Buffy ans Spike 4ever!!! (gotcha)

Both duh!! but they won't be cannon to me, no way in hell are they going to kill off a character I like in a comic book.

I'll buy them both, even though I'm more interested in what's going on with BtVS. I'm a big Scoobies fan. :D

I sent my hubby the link with a Christmas "hint hint, nudge nudge," so let's just say I hope I read them both soon.

I have not read any Fray either. I should but I just don't have the drive. I was actually going to buy the omnibus to read as well but have not gotten around to it. Now what, there's like 3....so if it happens it wont be soon.

I picked both in SERIOUS hopes that A:ATF gets better as we get into the story more. I really just don't care all that much for Lynch. Who knows, maybe he'll suprise me and sway my opinion towards his writing but I seriously doubt it. (I secretly hope that IDW goes under and they have to sell Angel to Dark Horse, that way I could be on crossover cloud 9.)

Now, Buffy on the other hand, is so much more than I expected and I will continue buying these books as long as they stay canon. I love, love, love this continuation. It's funny too, because, Angel was the one that needed the continuity, not Buffy, but Buffy has played out better so far. (I know Angel is only one book in, but I just have a bad feeling about this whole thing...)

You and me both. Issue #1 of A:ATF left me cold, and the previews for #2 don't look promising, either. Whenever I start reading a new comic (which isn't often these days,) I usually try to give it eight or ten issues, because - just like a TV show - it sometimes takes a while to start clicking. But I don't know if I'll make it that far with this one or not.

Keanoite

I agree the previews for #2 were uninspiring to say the least, they still don't sound like the characters in my opinion where as with Buffy you can pretty much hear the actors deliver the lines.

I am doing the same thing. I love the old comics and I just want MORE! lol. But yeah I love Season 8 and AatF is ok i guess I don't know how I feel about it yet. I am getting the Spike Shadow Puppets TBP in the mail soon though so that is exciting.

Both. I've been buying them all, as soon as they come out (Or as soon as I can get 'em =]) and I totally want to get them all.
