At the end of "Chosen." after the battle when everyone is standing around looking back at the crater, Faith makes several comments about sleeping for a week and Buffy being able to live like a normal person again among other things. Is it my imagination, or was she pretty much ignored by the "in crowd?"

Don't we zoom in on Buffy's smile and then fade out after that? I don't think we know that the group ignored her. I just think our attention was diverted elsewhere, and then the show ended.

I don't think she was necessarily ignored, I think Faith was more stating the obvious out loud.

Yea.....I think so as well. Everyone were sort of in there own world. Amazed and shocked all in one.

(Contains spoilers for Season 8)

I've watched this sequence again several times, and it still seems to me that Faith is being ignored, either consciously or subconsciously by the gang. Given the situation as it is presented in the :No Future For You" arc, I see no reason to change my mind on the subject. Faith is still the outsider. I had really hoped that after the final battle, she would finally be accepted into the inner circle but I guess Joss wants her to always be the outsider, the same way Spike and Angel were: just some extra muscle to be used and then tossed away when she's no longer needed.

i feel the same. not that Faith was being ignored in 'Chosen' but that Joss wants to keep her on the outside, unfortunatly. i'd love to see a comic set between 'Chosen' and the start of Season 8, just so that we can find out how Faith ended up on her own, why Giles isn't with Buffy and the Gang in Scotland and why Xander suddenly thinks he's Nick Fury, lol.

I think everyone was lost in their own thoughts and feelings. Would it have been different is someone else in the group said what Faith said?

I'm sure most of us want exactly the same thing, but possibly the reason we'll never see it (well, most of it, anyhow) is that it would be too much talk and not enough action, something that can ill be afforded given a comic book's limited amount of space as opposed to the time allowed for a tv show. It takes an entire arc of four or more issues, hence that many months, to cover what would be done in a single one hour episode, or a two part episode at most.

Besides which, as long as that time remains the same as the "fade to black" scene between Buffy and Spike, we the fans are free to fill in the blanks however we want.

I haven't read any of the comics for season eight so I don't know how I would feel if I read those. But whenever I've watched "Chosen" I never gave much thought to that. I just assumed that she was talking out loud, and it's not like there was really anything for someone to say, unless it was some mumbled agreement/acknowledgement.

I do think that Faith has been sort of unfairly treated ever since she was introduced. She steals every scene she's in, she's one of the most interesting and complicated characters, she's cool and fun, not to mention a lot hotter than Buffy...this is why she deserves her own show.
