help with BUFFY OMNI reprints!! who is familiar with them?? IM LOST

OK I heard these comics were reprints of the first buffy series. I opened both vol 1 and 2 books at the comic shop and didnt remember any of this stuff?? what issues do vol 1 and 2 cover? Someone said vol 1 is before the comic series? and vol 2 i up to season 3? Cant be cause dawn was in the vol 2 books which should be season 5?

The omnibus are published in timeline order not order published. Vol. 1 has all the pre-sunnydale stuff some of which include Dawn because they were originally published after the introduction of Dawn so were written assuming that any of Buffy's memories of that time would include Dawn even though she wouldn't really be there. make sense? Vol 2 omnibus has comics set during season one and two. hope this helps.

when i looked in vol 2 i did not see any stories from buffy #1, the story and art looked like it was from season 5
