I wish you could subscribe to the whole thing, but from what I gather you cant. Does anyone have a preferred place to get them?? Thanks for the heads up.

I've had a subscription since Issue 1. Any of the large distributers, like Dark Horse or mailordercomics.com can sell you one, just be prepared to wait a couple of extra days for delivery. For me, the convenience of having my issue directly to my door outweighs the bother of engaging in hand to hand combat with some raging fan at my town's only comic book shop.

I have a subscription with the only comic book shop that I know... which is all the way in Amsterdam, while I live in the South of the country, which luckily still doesn't say that much about the distance: it's like one and a half hour by public transportation (train/bus). But anyway, they send me my copies, so luckily I don't have to go all the way up there every time.

I would love to find a comic shop in Mexico but I still havent so I usually just order them through Ebay and get them a week late, which turns out just fine for me although at some point I would LOVE a subscription! if anyone knows of a website that offers international delivery for subscriptions please let me know.
Edit:One of the above posts led me to mailordercomics.com and they take international orders! excitement!

Personally I fell out of love with monthly comics a long time ago. They are read far too quickly and the story is broken up far too much for my tastes. When Marvel started to create their books in a way that suited trade paperback collections (story arcs in 6 or 12 issue sets) I decided to start waiting for them to be released that way and that has suited me a lot better. Now I do have to wait a while longer to read a story but I get to read complete arcs in nice big chunks with no waiting, which is how I decided to read Buffy Season Eight.
If you are willing to do that then pre-ordering the trades from Amazon is maybe your best bet.

I decided to use my local Comic Book Guy for season 8 and, after a slight hiccup with no. 2, things are going well.
For those without a local store, several people have mentioned TFAW ( http://www.tfaw.com/ ) as a good place to get them and they seem to be the online seller that Dark Horse use. I have to say that my past dealings with them were hassle-free and there was no problem with shipping from the US to the UK. Others may have a different story but I found them excellent to deal with :)
does anyone know anywhere online where i can buy the comic? TFAW are messing me around and won't send the latest issue...i'm wondering if there are anyother reputable online sites were i can buy it.
thanks guys! :D

Have you thought about comic shops local to you? What has happened with TFAW? I found them pretty good but if they're messing you about let us know how...if only to let other members know what not to do.

Amazon.com lists all 4 issues. You should be able to get them there regardless of where you are.
Another UK based one is http://www.closeencounters.co.uk/index.php
I ordered the first issue off them & they were really quick with delivery. :)
thanks so much, you giys. i'm gonna try those right now.
TWFA are telling me they won't ship to me anymore...even though i've already received the first three issues from them, and had issue #4 on pre-order. don't know what they're playing at!

I use www.packratcomics.com they also allow you to pay via paypal, they are really great. Also are very quick about replying and can guarantee what you want.
An extra note about packrat, they don't have season 8 listed but you just right what you want in the subscription box and you will get it. They reply right away to questions so if you have any just contact them.

So, they won't ship to you, but yet have taken you're money for the comics? Or have you not been charged for it yet?
I use TFAW, but I've never had a problem. But then again, they are only like a state away from me, not a whole continent! :)
nah, they didn't charge me for the last one, just told me that they wouldn't accept my payment anymore as i live so far away.
which i don't get. they shipped the first three issues to me...but whatever. i used the site EDB suggested and it came the next day, which was just awesome. makes a change from having to wait three weeks after the release date! LMAO

I have a subscription from TFAW, and so far they've never failed me. That doesn't mean that they won't cancel on me tomorrow, though. I recently discovered that Barnes & Nobel carries them, so you might try there if one is available where you live.

Well, for a long time, I've been reading on the internet and stuff about the Season Eight comics, and although I'm not really into comics I want to try reading some, I was wondering where you can get them, they don't seem to be in any newsagents, the only place I know that sells Buffy stuff is Forbidden Planet, and when I was there, I never saw the comics, anyone know where I can get my hands on some?

Your best bet is probably a comic book shop. A lot of places will set you up with a subscription service if you're worried about them being sold out.
I know my local Borders carries the single issues as well, so you might want to check there. News stands may also be an option.
If you don't want to pick up the single issues, once a story arc is finished the company will usually publish a collected edition of the entire story arc. It takes longer, but it means you get to read the entire story at once and it fits nicely on a bookshelf.

I just went to the comic store. They had many. Several first editions too. I think I will just use them.

I would still say www.packratcomics.com way over tfaw. Myself and others have had a very hard time with tfaw, and they also don't ship the comics as securely as packrat. So you should def try there if you are having problems finding a local store. And as I had mentioned as well, they can guarantee whatever you want.

Thanks, I'll look at all the suggested places, but I think really I should see season seven before attempting to get the season eight comics.

Agree and also not, because you may want first printing of the comics. I know there is always ebay but some of the people are just charging way too much, more than double. It is always nice to get first printing of comics if you can. You could always get them and just not read them yet. :)

^^ That's a good idea, since it'll probably be easier to get my hands on them now! Thanks! :D

Try TRAW.com (think thats it) for the individual comics or check Forbidden Planet International for the Trade Paperbacks.

Maybe we should have a sticky thread with this kind of info posted. Save us having a new thread about this every week :p
You can also try Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more (http://www.amazon.com) and type in 'Buffy season 8' lots of comics pop up.

if you live in Sydney (or anywhere else in Australia for that matter) you can use Kings comics. http://www.kingscomics.com.au I've been getting all my buffy ones shipped from them and they are excellent.

How long do they take Mog? I was thinking of ordering from them next time. I went in there when I was in Sydney, picked up some Angel and Buffy comics, they have a huge selection. Though $7 for each comic.. or there abouts.

Are there any Italian's who post here? Wondering if you can pick up season 8 there... Otherwise I'll have to try and find it (#13) in London at the end of April when I'm there. I could wait till I get home but eh :p
